Lawn Care express has it's ups and downs. Over the course of several years we've had to have…read moremanagers come in to train their staff. The worst being that the crew skipped 3 weeks of cutting a section of grass that grew 12 inches over those 3 weeks. The crew just ignored that patch of grass and never cut the grass until a manager showed up. It made our yard look dumpy. Fortunately Brandon the manager was very helpful. in training his crew. We'll certainly use them for next season.

Even worse, he never actually did all that I paid him to do. Every time it snowed, he'd leave some walkways and/or half the driveway uncleared. When I asked him to come back to finish the job, he told me to do it myself! I ended up often paying more than the price he quoted me, and even then, I didn't get what I paid for. My neighbor used him once and fired him for the same reason: He didn't do what she paid him to do. Also note his bad rating on Angie's List.

I had to shovel myself out of my driveway with 6"+ of snow TWICE in order to take my husband to chemo - one of those times, I fell and tore my rotator cuff. I called Pine Creek to inquire about the lack of snow plowing service, and my call was ignored. We were very disappointed with the advertised snow plowing service vs. the actual snow plowing service provided. At times, we got plowed more than a day after snow had stopped falling. We did NOT get plowed twice during a major ("historical") storm as advertised. The last time that we were plowed (in the late afternoon after a large snowfall the day prior), I watched as our driveway was plowed with a broken snowplow - the driver and his assistant, (who mainly just sat in the cab instead of using his shovel to help), tried to figure out what was wrong with the blade, but couldn't get it to work. Instead of pushing snow, the plow removed snow from our ENTIRE driveway by PULLING the snow with the blade into the street, then revving the engine to push the snow as hard as it could to remove it from the street, totally tearing up the sides of our driveway and yard. I watched the plow do the same for our neighbors across the street, pulling up their sprinkler system with it. Pine Creek Service offers terrible customer service as well as poor service in general.

JD is awesome and hardworking…read more JD just completed a phenomenally thorough de-thatching of our lawn followed by an equally thorough aeration treatment. For no additional charge he then re-seeded with some seed we had already selected and purchased. It was our first time working with him. He gave us a very fair price and delivered a lot of hard work. I would add he came on a Sunday because it was a convenient time for us. We discussed his other services and will probably have him back for various lawn treatments as well as consider him for snow removal. We consider JD a great find. He deserves more customers. We heard about him from several recommendations on the NextDoor app. JD told us his area of service is a 10 mile radius around his house in Roseville. That being his service area, how can someone from NY, NY be allowed to leave a one-star review that says nothing except someone was rude to her? Heck, I grew up in NY and if someone was rude to her that's actually par for the course out there. Anyway, the chances that her JD was the same as this JD working in that area is about zero. It broke my heart to see that review after how I saw him working his butt off for us today. At least it gave me a kick in the pants to write what I saw.

A couple days after our first significant snowfall, I called Andy Olson, aka-aok, and asked him why…read morethey had not shoveled my house. After all, I sent him a check for the season. What happened? At first he told me "I forgot". Not very professional. I asked him to come out and do it. He said he would. Then he called back about 10 minutes later saying he didn't realize how far away I was and decided not to do it after he said no problem. I asked him to send back the check. So, with no notice, he left us hi and dry to shovel ourselves. My wife and I are in our 70's We are not as strong as we once were and need help. But Andy Olson, who I assume is AOK, just decided he didn't want to do it, AFTER the snow fall. AND - I still haven't gotten the check back. It's nice somebody had a good experience with them. We sure didn't.
