We hired Shwaders as our new snowplow service this season and I have been thoroughly impressed with not only their snow removal service, but their detailed communication about if (based on accumulation trigger)/when they will start their routes, when they have completed their routes, and schedule for return services for touch-ups, driveway ridges, etc. Plus, they were the most economical option of the four companies from which I received quotes! This company provides the landscape care for the townhouse development I live in. Their workers are unskilled laborers that obviously lack training in horticultural practices and they work largely without supervision. They damage our shrubs, trees and turf on a regular basis, and I have yet to see them repair anything they damage. In winter, their trucks knock down street signs all over the development, damage curbs, and lawns with careless plowing. The picture below is of damage done to the lawn adjacent to my townhouse. The lawns are very obviously too saturated to use heavy equipment on but the Shwaders crews persist despite the damage they are doing. read more

Used them last season for snow removal and will never use them again. They are not very promt. It takes a long time for them to come plow your driveway. People need to get out the house with things to do. No time to wait for them all day. On top of that, they do sloppy work. Not worth your money. Do not recommend. Go elsewhere read more

I called just to talk about their snow removal this year and what they are leaving behind. One wet snow and my hill and how the tractor compacted snow and what the issue was and one very dry snow and they left about 3/4" on the driveway. My driveway is 80' long, a long straight" slope, and they tractor tires were spinning, instead of dropping the rear mounted blower and removing the snow he just spins the tires compacting the snow which then sticks to the driveway. (Defeats the purpose of "snow removal) The driver should understand what works and what does not work. The dry snow their equipment has issues with the blacktop paving having a slight swale to handle rain. In a few areas the blower back blade left about 3/4" snow being. Hey, I understand with any equipment there will be issues. I said Thanks, and I waiting a second and the Lady I was talking to started complaining to another in the office about people like me, not understanding the phone was still on. (I mentioned I have construction experience and have seen many pieces of snow removal equipment) She started mentioning people that have called and complained. She even mentioned another customer by name, "Robert C". Robert she does not like you at all. Since when do you not take people serious? Once you have a company that does not customers serious you should run. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Shwaders does the snow removal and lawn maintenance for our town home development. These guys would rather do the job fast versus in a quality fashion! Our management companies notices to their management team go nowhere. They pile snow in the same piles until they are 10' tall and the snow just slides back into driveway. They could push the snow to multiple different locations but choose the path of least resistance at the expense of the homeowners that have the giant piles. They mow after it rains and tear up the turf and leave clumps of wet grass. Hopefully we find a different service that has a general understanding of customer service and training. read more

Terrible and sloppy work ethic. They did a fine job cleaning up my neighbor's leaves, but didn't care at all about blowing a bunch of leaves through the fence and into my yard. I talked to they guy in the truck and his response was essentially "oh well". No apology...no offer to clean it up...just drives off. They are a disgrace and will piss off your neighbors. read more

Used Shwaders tractor blowing this winter and I was **REALLY** happy with the service. I bought a contract for the entire winter "season". The contract ended March 31, and of course we had a major snow storm (well over a foot of snow) on April 3. They came and blew it out for free. We had another storm later in April and they offered to do it for $30, which I passed on, but I was impressed the that they followed up for the 2nd storm. I'll absolutely use them for the 2018-2019 season. I'm also giving them a try for my yard mowing. It's too early to tell how that will go, we are having a wet spell, and they have not yet settled on a specific day of the week to mow. But so far so good! read more

After waiting all day for them to show up after a 2 inch snow, they removed the top inch, and left the rest of it to freeze and ice over. They also plowed 3/4 of the driveway, not the whole driveway as they were paid to do. When I called to complain they laughed at me.Run from this company. read more
