But the result was much more, the variety of flowers, shrubs and trees, (some bearing berries for birds) is the envy of the entire neighborhood. The plants have matured into a planned "painting" of contrasting foliage. My experience is that money spent outside of the house goes further than remodel money spent inside...maybe it is the "alive" thing that plants have. Instead of making a notch and using ropes to pull the tree away from my property, they used a tractor to pull their tree up and out of the ground which was on the property line.
