We walked around to check out the damage--I had a very large sweet gum tree branch break off. On its way down, it knocked off a bunch of other large branches, ending up hanging in the notch of the main trunk. Will walked around, pointed out what they would do, step by step, wrote me a detailed estimate, shook my hand again and told me when they would be back. The crew came back late Sunday afternoon (on Father's Day!) to take down the big branch hanging from the main trunk so that it wouldn't fall. They came back on Tuesday afternoon and finished the job. Now, comes the best part! I came home on Tuesday expecting to see a big mess of broken branches, twigs and leaves all over my patio. Instead, I found that the backyard had been cleared of all branches and leaves; they even cleaned off the walkway around the side of the house. It looked better than before!

Schroeder charged $147.75 delivery fee for the 5 minutes I am from Plantscape. Then charged another $135 labor for 30 minutes. I spent more on the planting of the tree than I did for the actual tree. Plantscape told us he would let us know the charges prior to coming out. He did not. When he called, he said he had to plant the next day or it would have to wait until fall. It was our fault for not getting more information but felt like he could have explained his cost prior to us getting the bill and really felt like we were put on the spot to get it planted immediately.

My yard was over-landscaped by the previous owners and the driveway has a carport so it's not the most accessible space. Ex-Tree came and took it all out in a few hours and also removed other yard waste we had from our DYI plant removals. The crew quick and careful, cleaned up well and not even a single flower in my yard was bent. I've been worried about that pear tree breaking and with the yews, depleting the soil around it. Now we're ready to rehabilitate the backyard and make it safe and functional. Ex-Tree competitively prices services and offers solutions, not just ala carte services. I have already recommended them to friends, and now that I can see into my neighbor's yards and see their trees, will be recommending them to my neighbors.
