Very close by to my home with plenty of parking available and the staff was wonderful! They all love dogs, we chatted about horses, and they gave me some recommendations for my dental care that I fully intend to use. I found my East side dentist!

I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Robert Schneider…read more I had a crown placed, which required two appointments. During the first appointment, my tooth was prepared, a mold was taken, and a temporary crown was placed. Afterward, I developed significant jaw pain and could barely open my mouth. I called the office and left a message explaining that I was in pain, but no one returned my call. When I called again, I was asked to come in to have it checked. When I saw Dr. Schneider, he literally laughed when I explained that I could barely open my mouth and told me it would go away on its own. He did prescribe a mild muscle relaxant, but it didn't help. Unfortunately, this was not a short-term issue. I had significant difficulty opening my mouth for several months and ultimately sought help from two other doctors. I eventually regained normal movement, but nine months later, my jaw still aches. I was also frustrated by the billing. Before I had any work done, the receptionist contacted my insurance company and told me my out-of-pocket cost would be $647, which I paid upfront. After the procedure, I received an additional bill for more than $194, as well as a $35 charge for a missed appointment. I missed that appointment because my jaw was still so painful that I could not comfortably go. What was most upsetting was not simply that I experienced a complication. Complications can happen. It was the way my concerns were handled. I expected my pain to be taken seriously and for the office to communicate clearly about both my treatment and my costs. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

I went to Kristina Wolf to be evaluated for possible Tmj issues. She created fear by saying if I…read moredon't buy her appliances I will get worse. I self paid a lot $$$ for her two-phase treatment: a daytime appliance worn for several months alongside a mandibular advancement device (MAD) at night. I trusted the process because they said it would "treat my TMJ," improve my jaw position, and prevent future problems. Unfortunately, this approach ended up creating new issues I never had before. The daytime appliance changed my bite, and the MAD put my jaw in a forward position that irritated my joint and muscles. After stopping treatment, it took months for my jaw and bite to settle again. I know have a severe occlusion. I later learned that this day-appliance MAD protocol is not standard TMJ care and is not recommended by most orofacial pain specialists or TMJ-focused clinicians. A MAD is typically used for sleep apnea, not treating displaced discs or TMJ disorders. None of this was clearly explained to me before starting. I also was never tested for sleep apnea. I wish I had been told the risks, alternatives, and the fact that this method is not evidence-based for TMJ treatment. I also wish the focus had been on conservative care rather than multiple appliances that ultimately made my symptoms worse. I'm sharing this so others can do their research, ask detailed questions, and get a second opinion from a true TMJ specialist before committing to this type of protocol

Just do your own research and make a smart decision before giving any doctor your money. Quick tip for the people at the practice. If you want to sell a $7k mouthpiece, don't try to trick people into it. Just be honest.
