My visits during the weekday seemed quite pleasant but the crowded weekends just get far too smoky for me unfortunately. The burgers and ribeye steaks here are fairly priced and better than you get at many far fancier and way more expensive restaurants. I've eaten a LOT of steaks and enjoyed plenty of good steak nights around the New Orleans area but the ribeye here is by far one of the best I've had anywhere. The service at the bar and at the tables is quick, friendly and overall just a great experience. This is some of the best bar food I've had anywhere and just one of the best options for a great steak and burger at a great price anywhere. I got some buffalo wings that were crisp, juicy and just perfect and I also got an order of fresh cut fries. Delicious. While we were there it started raining and the kickball league across the street came running in. Well, the 2 bartenders handled this crowd of like 50 people faster than I thought possible. Disappointingly enough, none of the employees came near the entrance to make ordering easier. We had masks on, they did not, so it did not make sense why none of them came closer. The bar had no other patrons. Next, I am admittedly more apprehensive about sanitation, or a lack thereof, now. I was a bit taken aback that the whole process of making drinks and taking our order was done without gloves. I would not have cared had the bartender simply made drinks but squeezing the lemon and dropping it in the drink with her bare hands rattled my spirit. I don't know--maybe I'm being too anal.
