How I wish I could give a good review because I typically only write reviews when my experience is…read moregood. However, I really have to share my experience with Stars on Brand and Siran. I read the recent reviews about the change in ownership and I was alarmed, but I tried not to let that determine how we would proceed. I like to see things for myself and I gave them the benefit of the doubt. We signed our contract a year in advance, when the venue was under the previous owners. We met Siran months before our event. I tried my best to be kind and I was met with comments such as, "I don't know why they gave you such a big discount." That kind of attitude remained and was felt by us for the duration of our planning and throughout our celebration of our daughter's quinceañera. Siran treated us like another contract. She changed things about the rehearsal, details that were in the contract including party time/ bartender hours- how do you change that kind of stuff at the last minute?? No empathy or regard for the family and all the moving parts of planning an event. They didn't provide us with refills on water or soft drinks, didn't bring out boiling water for our ramen cups at the end of the night despite several requests, electrical outlets didn't work so we couldn't get the fog or sparklers in our PAID lighting package the way we should have, we couldn't put our marquee letters where they could be seen because the outlet was blown during CONSTRUCTION that was barely finished at 3am that morning according to Siran. The AC wasn't working by the later part of the evening, likely because of the construction mistakes too. At the end of the day, we are so grateful that we even got to plan an event for our only daughter. I'm not complaining because these are honestly first-world problems. That's not lost on me. Our event was incredible because our guests were there for one reason only- to shower our baby girl with love during this deeply meaningful tradition. However, as hosts, I do not wish this kind of treatment on anyone. We are clients, we are people. We are NOT a contract. The venue itself is gorgeous if you're looking for regal charm. We signed the contract with Hayk. He was great. The food is delicious, all my guests agreed. I will say Daniel (I think he's the assistant?) was very accommodating, kind, and tried his best to meet our needs and requests. I hope this review helps- either helps people find a better venue or helps Siran learn what she can do better to make it a better experience for others. You're in the hospitality industry- you have to learn to be hospitable. I'm a nurse- we treat every single person as a human being and I firmly believe that should be the case no matter what field you're in. Your words and actions can make or break someone's experience.
