A birthday party would probably be a great success here, especially with supplemental kites or frisbees or other throwing things. The grassy field is sizable enough for kickball and other such terrain-sprawling sport. We had a compelling game of pine one ninja (think live-action fruit ninja, sub Dowel rods and pine cones). There's a quaint earthen walking path on the far side of the park that, I believe, leads to a pedestrian sidewalk passing over I40 and leading to the Winrock mall. There's also A bunch of well-maintained tennis courts, which I thought were for public use but appear to be restricted access... tennis club or something? I don't know for sure; better check with google on that. There's imposing chain link fences surrounding them, and while tunneling under may be difficult due to the asphalt and turf perimeter, you could probably climb them if you really wanted to play when the courts were closed. * Yelp does not condone criminal trespassing, and their views are not necessarily reflected in my satirical advice on circumventing restricted access. We are a first, second, and third generation for almost 40 years. My daughter was one of the first when the summer camp opened at Del Norta and continued with their swimming team. MY GRANDDAUGTERS are now members and that should tell you we are loyal to this club. Best swimming with their beautiful well-kept pools indoor and outdoor at Highpoint and the scenery is outstanding!

It is large, lush, very well maintained, in a good location and has things that other parks do not offer (tennis courts, kids playground, architectural structures, and chalks/ dog poop bag stations). Sometimes there are neighborhood/local fairs going on as well. People there are nice and polite..and because the park is so large, everyone can have their own space enjoying the park. I try to take my dogs there sometimes and they loved how expansive and lush the place is (one of my dogs loves rolling on the greens there!). Overall, a wonderful park and everyone really helps keep the place clean. Definitely a great place to enjoy your day!

They also have portable pottys (you never know when your lil ones are going to start to do the dance). They have a nice small play area with baby swings, big kid swings, climbing structures, a few physical fit rings, a smaller climbing structure for smaller children, a basketball court, tennis courts and plenty of sand to take home in your shoes. There are two ramadas and plenty of benches in the play area, lots of parking (and i also hear it's a pokestop). I enjoy bringing my granddaughter to play here she loves to walk over the bridge and i also loved bringing my dog and watching him run in the grass he always acted so silly. Nice park with shady areas. Sometimes i just go to sit and practice my drumming. (No complaints yet) Not the best park but a great park nonetheless!

There was an event happening in the grassy area and we still found plenty of parking available.

Klaus ran the drill and was very good at keeping the drill true to its name - high intensity! He offered positive feedback and kept the drills entertaining. The other players were very welcoming and nice players as well. If you want to get a nice cardio workout while also working on your game, I would definitely recommend you check out their drills.

But....the hot tubs often have little kids in them, especially in the evenings and on weekends. The tubs are small and some of the kids are very young. The other issue is loud music in the gym. It's not clear who wants it; almost every patron has earbuds on. But if you don't or are working out with a friend, it's really unpleasant. The place is popular, for good reasons, so it would be nice if these issues were addressed.

The courts have been recently redone, and are in great shape and play good, they have a clay court I would like to try too. The staff where friendly & helpful and the food & beer were delicious. Very enjoyable sitting on the shaded deck, while watching a great game, with a few 5.0 players grinding it out on the show court, while enjoying my tacos n beer with friends... what more could you ask for.. (PS: I did NOT hear any dogs barking, just birds singing in the trees)
