This park is grassy and full of big beautiful trees that are perfect for climbing. The playground…read moreis big enough to maintain a kid's interest and enthusiasm for at least an hour, and there's plentiful seating in both shady and sunny spots. A birthday party would probably be a great success here, especially with supplemental kites or frisbees or other throwing things. The grassy field is sizable enough for kickball and other such terrain-sprawling sport. We had a compelling game of pine one ninja (think live-action fruit ninja, sub Dowel rods and pine cones). There's a quaint earthen walking path on the far side of the park that, I believe, leads to a pedestrian sidewalk passing over I40 and leading to the Winrock mall. There's also A bunch of well-maintained tennis courts, which I thought were for public use but appear to be restricted access... tennis club or something? I don't know for sure; better check with google on that. There's imposing chain link fences surrounding them, and while tunneling under may be difficult due to the asphalt and turf perimeter, you could probably climb them if you really wanted to play when the courts were closed. * Yelp does not condone criminal trespassing, and their views are not necessarily reflected in my satirical advice on circumventing restricted access. One star deducted because of bathroom access. There's one in that... tennis club?... building, but of course your bladder relief is then at the mercy of their hours of operation. Go play here. Just go pee first.

I love this park not only because it's conveniently located to my home but it has a lot to offer…read more Great walking/bike paths, one large and one smaller pet friendly grassy areas that's good for more than playing with your pets, i also see soccer games, flag football, birthday parties, picnics and it's also terrific for kite flying! They also have portable pottys (you never know when your lil ones are going to start to do the dance). They have a nice small play area with baby swings, big kid swings, climbing structures, a few physical fit rings, a smaller climbing structure for smaller children, a basketball court, tennis courts and plenty of sand to take home in your shoes. There are two ramadas and plenty of benches in the play area, lots of parking (and i also hear it's a pokestop). I enjoy bringing my granddaughter to play here she loves to walk over the bridge and i also loved bringing my dog and watching him run in the grass he always acted so silly. Nice park with shady areas. Sometimes i just go to sit and practice my drumming. (No complaints yet) Not the best park but a great park nonetheless!

The ground is a combination of soft/flexible pavement and sand. It has features accessible by toddlers and monkey bars and climbing good for older kids. There are benches along the outer edge in the play area in shaded and partially shaded places. No one was using the basketball court next to the playground but it appeared well-maintained. There was an event happening in the grassy area and we still found plenty of parking available.
