Looked to Yelp to help me find a tour that worked for us and happy to find Tahoe Lake Tours! Booking online was easy enough. Looking on Wednesday for a Friday morning time slot and there it was: 9:30-1:30 was perfect. The web site states exactly what will happen during the 4 hours and offers a phone number to call for questions. Parking and check in were easy and Captain Dan was ready for us. The boat was clean and well stocked with life jackets that fit for both adults and children (ages 8,6,4) as well as water bottles. Before leaving the dock we were offered water for a cooler which we didn't need but the offer was appreciated. Our 4 hours: 1. Safety information 2. Review of our preferences for the tour 3. Lots of history of the area as we toured 4. Emerald Bay & Mrs. Knights castle 5. Water tubing (first time for the grandkids) 6. Hang out time for a snack (we brought lots LOL) 7. Back to the marina Dan was very knowledgeable and great with the kids. We would definitely book with Tahoe Lake Tours again and request Captain Dan. Thank you for a great ending to our week in Tahoe!

Captain Troy was accommodating, kind, hospitable, professional and knowledgeable. He took us to breathtaking sites including Emerald Bay, Fannette Island, Vikingsholm, and Rubicon Bay. We enjoyed swimming in the crystal water and never felt rushed. He provided swim floaties, a cooler with cold beverages, and let us take our time to have so much fun. He even called in advance to accommodate a better start time to ensure we had the best weather. We could not have asked for a more perfect day. Booking was easy and he answered all my questions beforehand. We highly recommend this company.

The way it played out was that I reached out to several boat rental companies in the North Lake Tahoe area based on their Yelp profiles, and the friendliest response I got was from this team. Based purely on that, I picked up the phone and called them, and the person who spoke with me helped answer several questions in an extremely pleasant way. She also advised me that the weather was going to get better in a few days, which is why we chose not to go boating on Sunday, which was our preferred day, but instead picked Wednesday, which turned out to be exceptionally pleasant. She asked me to research the boats and pick our best option from the website. I shared a picture from the Yelp page with her through text, based on which she guided me toward their premium boat, which had the bimini top that we needed. The check-in process was extremely welcoming. It was all done over my mobile phone. The insurance packages were also surprisingly affordable. We picked the intermediate option, which was, I believe, about $50. I could not stop staring at the water while we were checking in. It felt like we were in Miami. The water was turquoise-colored, and it was a perfect day in the low 70s. Our guide was Lidia. She and her entire team were exceptionally friendly. They did not rush us at all, even though I had my 79-year-old father with me. She, along with another staff member and me, helped my elderly parents onto the boat. I really wanted them to enjoy the ride instead of waiting outside for three and a half hours. I loved how Lidia helped me get comfortable with the boat while she was on board with us. She had me go full throttle and make an aggressive turn to show me just how safe and stable the boat was. I didn't go nearly that fast or make nearly as sharp a turn later, but it was good to know just how capable the boat was. I also loved how they take you out of the crowded marina area. Once you are in open water, they use their own rubber dinghy to get back to their office while we can enjoy the lake without having to worry about maneuvering around other boats near the docks. At one point, we accidentally got close to shore because we had not seen some large boulders on the way out. We were actually a bit lost and had gotten too close to shore in the wrong area. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a text from Lidia reminding us to be careful and stay away from shore, which was great to see. This meant that they keep an eye on the boat from their office. Cellular coverage was fantastic, and we were able to use Google Maps and stream music from every part of the lake, which felt great because, if we had any questions, we could just call Lidia. When we came back, Lidia found a spot that was even more accessible for my father, which helped him get off the boat much more easily. Overall, I could not have asked for anything better, and the entire experience was just perfect. We will 100% be returning to North Lake Tahoe and renting from NLTBR again as repeat customers.

It was exactly what I wanted and I couldn't have asked for more. Michael was in constant communication for weeks prior and made sure everything was taken care of! Michael recommended a photographer he worked with in the past (Amanda Kluesner Photography) and I'm so glad I went with his recommendation. They worked so well together and made our elopement experience a dream come true. The ceremony was amazing and so was the photoshoot. I would do it all over again and wouldn't change a thing. The boat is in pristine condition and truly a classic. I can't wait to come back on the boat and celebrate our anniversaries going forward. Wish I could give Michael 100 star review! Highly recommend! That boat is truly a classic beauty!

I first saw this incredible vessel on a Lake Tahoe photography page. I was immediately drawn to this boat. I contacted Michael, and within just a few days we were headed out to Tahoe for our unique elopement. With the help of Michael and Kelly we found, not only an insanely heartfelt, talented photographer (www.AmandaKluesnerPhotography.com / amanda_kluesner_photography - Instagram), but the most thoughtful, kindest, fun and stress-free Tahoe wedding Officiant (www.mountainhighweddings.com / christadeane - Instagram), who then found us the most perfect, on-the-fly Florist (Kick Grass Flower Design / kickgrassflowerdesign - Instagram). We now refer to them all as the 'Dream Team'...as we have become friends and visit with them on our trips back to Tahoe now! We literally had zero vision of an elopement, other than it sounded like a good idea to get married in Tahoe. But when I saw this boat...I started to see it might be possible. Mike, Kelly, Christa, Amanda and Sandy certainly saw a much larger vision and created the perfect day. This boat needs no introduction. It speaks for itself. We could not have planned a more perfect day...all because of Michael and the 'Dream Team'! I cannot say enough about this whole situation. It was like hanging out with old friends...on the most beautiful boat on the lake! FYI...we just showed up...this team took care of absolutely EVERYTHING you see in these photos! Just do it!

Feedback for mgmt: Your staff is so nice! I will say just say that I don't love how you write down CC info. I understand having credit card info & waivers signed by renters responsible for any damage, but there has to be a better system than writing down CC #s, expiration dates, billing zip codes and CVC codes on paper at the open air check-in table.

The staff was unfriendly from the start and made us feel unwelcome. Five minutes into our ride, my wife and daughter accidentally entered a restricted area. We understand it was our mistake, but instead of simply explaining the situation, they brought them back to shore, wasting much of our rental time. After that, my wife didn't want to continue, so I went out with my daughter instead. She was so uncomfortable that she kept saying the staff member was going to come back and take us out again, so she couldn't enjoy the ride. Overall, the lack of customer service and the staff's attitude ruined what should have been a fun family experience. They showed no empathy or concern, even though there was a young child with us.

They were definitely right, I never spilled my drink! I love that we were able to bring our own food and drinks because I am super picky about both but they had ice and everything we needed on board. The captain, Robbie, was so informative and knew a lot of about the properties and other features along the lake. I spent a lot of my time sitting on the upper deck with him learning about it all. We cruised up towards Incline Village to admire all the houses and coves from the water side. I have been here a lot but had never seen most of it from that side. There are some super cool houses along that route. The 'first mate,' Dana, was super sweet and helpful. She found us everything we needed but knew exactly when to give us space to enjoy. Wether sitting on the front of the boat on the large cushions, on the upper deck in the shade, or in the cabin, it was extremely comfortable. The nice thing about the front is the cushions are so giant multiple people can lay out in the sun, but worry not, when we got too hot we just moved inside or upstairs. I heard you can even book them for longer excursions and would love to take a custom full day trip down to Emerald Bay someday. A girl can dream!
