First, I will start off by saying the trail and tour itself is amazing. It was a nice long route that you go on, and you stop at a huge meadow where you can freely ride around on your own. The snowmobiles were new and clean, and definitely easy to ride for beginners. Plus, it was a gorgeous day when we went, which made our experience that much better. The reason why this place is down by four stars, is mainly due to the guides that we had. We had two guides named "G" and Lucas who DID NOT make us feel comfortable, and frankly, I felt their attitudes were way unprofessional. My boyfriend's snowmobile ended up being stuck in the snow, and as he is a beginner, he wasn't sure what to do and asked for help. When we called over "G" and Lucas, one of them had said that since it was my boyfriend's fault, and they "won't break their backs" to help him out of it. In the end, one of our friends had to come over and help lift the snowmobile out. But what ticked me off the most was at the end when "G" asked me how much tip I wanted to give him, and I gave him a number. Instead of BEING PROFESSIONAL like you're supposed to be, he straight up said that I was "insulting him" and that he would rather not take the tip at all. He also told me that it was because him and Lucas both split the tips 50/50 so my offer wasn't enough for each.....seriously!?! For his information, I DID NOT ask for two tour guides. The tour group that went before us only had one. For example, if you had 5 tour guides, are you going to ask me to pay 15% tip each for all 5 of you? Talk about ripping you off. And if he really wanted milk everyone for their money, instead of being rude and saying I "insulted" him, he could have been a bit more professional by saying something like "Is there anything I can do to improve my services?" Then maybe that way, I would have felt bad and given him more. Also, he should note that the definition of gratuity IS NOT OBLIGATION. It is a FAVOR that I am doing for you in exchange for your service. Unfortunately, your services weren't up to par, and therefore, I am not going to do you a favor by paying you 10%-15% (per PERSON, which is what he expected). I have worked in all kinds of industries myself (restaurant, bakery, smoothie shop) where gratuity is appreciated, but you don't see me being a bitch to people when they don't pay what you want. I understand the value of work when you provide service to someone, so I definitely do NOT skimp on gratuity unless I believe they don't deserve it. Most countries don't even have the word "tip" in their dictionary, so honestly I felt like he was taking a nice gesture for granted. I will end this rant by saying, I do recommend taking this snowmobiling tour, but just not worth it if you have "G" and Lucas as your guide. I am sorry I have to be so personal on yelp, but I just couldn't believe my ears when he said that to me - I have never heard that before in my life. I know places like New York will have people like that all the time, but seriously, show some appreciation that I had even OFFERED you something. If you were really offended that I didn't give you enough tip, there are ways to be professional about these things. Gratuity is just like respect, you need to earn it to receive it. I hope that their choices in having a distasteful attitude was worth losing a customer. read more

Eagle Ridge Snowmobile is amazing!!! Our guide Bobby was super cool, the snowmobiles were fast and the terrain was a mix of scenic back trails and open frozen over lake areas where you can really let loose. I've been to other snowmobile rentals in Tahoe and Eagle Ridge is by far the best. Would recommend to anyone wanting a top class snowmobiling experience. PS... We decided to do a Private Tour and spend the extra money. It was well worth it The snowmobiles were kept up well, ran excellent and a lot of fun. Our tour guides name was Sebastian (Bass or Sebi). Really good guy very knowledgable of the area. Excellent tour guide. He got a feel for what we were like and made adjustments to the tour. These folks nailed it. Ask for Nate as your guide, take the private tour or bring at least 4 drivers in you group. We did the 2 hour tour, and got into areas that there was no one around but us. Epic trip, worth every penny. Word to the wise, bring your own water. read more

This isn't the pony ride, this is a real wilderness experience! Miles and miles of groomed trails accented with forays into powder laden meadows where they let you cut loose and rip it up. After the wimpy follow-the-leader experiences of the other Tahoe snowmobile excursions, this is really worth the extra drive to get out into an amazingly beautiful wilderness area. Guides are super friendly and professional and obviously enjoy what they do for a living (remember to tip if you enjoyed it as much as I did). This is a first class operation with trails that are better and more extensive than anything I have ever scene. All new, top-notch equipment too. read more

My husband and I booked a double snowmobile tour (2hours) for 190 and we had a great time! The tour guides were very nice and informative. We even got to play around on the snowmobiles in a large empty meadow. I would recommend this tour for beginners as my husband and I had never ridden before and we thought it was pretty fun. read more

We had such an awesome time!! What I liked: - The two guides: Lucas & Sebastian. They were safe, really nice, had fun personalities and they were hot (lol). The guys took us up to a vista point that overlooked the mountains and there were pockets of amazing scenery throughout the entire ride. The snowmobiles are super easy for beginners too. - They take you into an open meadow for you to "freestyle" and "ride around", and as long as you're safe and not being stupid, everyone has a good time :) My recommendation: - Pay the extra $$ for a private tour! We decided to try something different on our most recent Tahoe trip and booked a snowmobile tour with Eagle Ridge. No one in the group had ever snowmobiled before, so we really didn't know what to expect. The tour ended up being the highlight of our trip! We booked a two hour tour- the first hour was spent in a big open meadow where we could hone our snowmobile skills and the second hour consisted off ripping through the Tahoe national first on a series of trails. Our guides, "G" and his son Lucas, where excellent. Totally helpful and very easygoing. They made us feel very comfortable as we tried something new. Not only will we be returning to Eagle Ridge on our next Tahoe trip, but I will be recommending them to anyone that will listen! read more

Efficient operation. However, in terms of fun, view and adventure, I'd rate it as zero. People try snowmobile not just for the boring ride on the road and a few fast rounds on the meadow. Suggestion for improvement : Tell the guides not to spend two hours on the road. It's such a waste of customer time. They need to be considerate and go interesting route and stop for views etc. Would I go again? Definitely not. I feel it's a total waste of money and time. I did tip each guide $20 even though I was so unhappy with the lackluster tour. read more
