If I could give this place zero stars, I would. It started out hopeful - they let me bring my cat, they were nice on the phone when I was booking and were flexible about my changing schedule. When I got there, it was a bit of a different story. Short and abrasive with me when I asked questions and constantly undermining me. Allow me to explain. The second I walked into my room, I knew there was mold. Because I had my cat and there weren't pet friendly room available, I chose to stay. When I told them about the mold, they were gonna clean it with bleach daily to help with the smell/spread. Well when I came back from work, the same mold was there and they didn't seem to understand that you can't just "wash" mold away. I went to the office to pay/let them know that the mold was still there and immediately he became aggressive and argumentative demanding to be let into my room to see. It made me uncomfortable so I declined him access and showed him pictures. I told them I wouldn't pay full price for a room with mold so they gave me a $75 difference per week which I felt was not that great for a customer who was willing to work with them, but I'd take what I could get. Onto the next thing. Someone hit my work truck in a parking lot - unsure if it was theirs or at the grocery store. I was unsure how many days prior to me realizing it was, so when I asked him to review the footage, he refused to look at more than 2 nights of footage. He (the owner) then told me that I can easily wipe away the scrapes and that it could be a lot worse. Saying he's seen worse on other work trucks and that I should just forget about it. Thankfully it was a work truck and would be taken care of. Now the last thing - the straw the broke the camels back. This all happened over the course of a few nights, so bear with me. My cat was obsessed with the walls. Would stare at them, meow and try to scratch at them. I was on the phone with my friend and kinda laughed saying "what if there are bugs in the walls". I was not wrong. Slowly, carpenter ants (the big ones) started to emerge. The melting weather I think brought them out of hiding and my cat kept finding them. At first I was like "okay, no big deal" but then I was trying to sleep in on my day off AND I WOKE UP TO THEM CRAWLING ON ME. IN BED! I killed the bug and immediately felt unsafe. Tried going to the office door to let them know - no answer. He answered my phone call a few minutes later and when I told him, he demanded to come in and see. A few seconds later he was banging on my door. I let him see the dead ant and again said "oh that's an ant, not a bed bug" I said "I didn't say they were bed bugs, I said there were bugs in my bed" he immediately trying to belittle the situation and acted like it's perfectly normal to be paying $2700 per month ($3000 before finding the mold) to stay in a moldy, ant infested room. I told him I would like to check out. It was 10:45 AM and he said "you have until 11 before I charge you for another night" even though they had less than half capacity. I moved out as quick as I could, had to take my cat to my work office for a few hours until a room opened up for me. Now, I had co workers also staying there and when they checked out, the owner was talking smack about me behind my back calling me a b**** and that he's happy I was gone. Do not stay here. Grabbing a tent and camping would honestly be a better choice. read more
