Updated 5/28/16 - After ~ 4 months, still thrilled with the overall experience. Have put on ~35 hours on the main motor and ~45 hours on the kicker and have had zero issues until recently when a few things popped up, like one of the nav lights wasn't working properly and those sorts of things. I also had a few questions, so I took it back to Chris and the gang @ Siglers. They are have been welcoming and helpful each time I have emailed or stopped in since the purchase. This particular time they got my boat in and took care of everything very professionally. It's clear they stand by their product. Who has two thumbs and loves his Thunderjet?!? This guy right here!! Review on 2/18/16: I recently purchased a Thunderjet 185 Explorer from Sigler's Marine. The price was right and the service was exemplary. There was even a no-obligation test drive that was truly no obligation. The staff is very friendly. Each time I came in to Sigler's Marine, someone would welcome me and kindly ask if I had been helped. Chris Young, the only salesman (you can't miss him!) was a great resource for me as well. He was very responsive to both phone and email communication. Chris made sure this was the right boat for my needs and patiently answered all of my questions, even the annoying ones I'm sure he's heard hundreds of times. He also walked me through all the details of the boat and highlighted critical parts in my owners manual, etc for things like breaking in the motors, important maintenance, etc. My boat was on the smaller side (the biggest little boat they have!), but I never felt pressured to upsize or go to something outside of my comfort zone. Chris also made sure that I got only what I needed to start and didn't buy unnecessary add-ons. For a lot of things I would ask about, Chris would stress to "start simple and work your way up" or "our cost is $XXX, but you can buy the parts for $XXX and install yourself" or "that's not something common for this level of boat" and patiently explain the pros/cons of each component I was contemplating. Chris discussed multiple different options for things like depth finder, anchor cradles, etc and even sent links via email to specific items on the respective vendor websites so that I could do my own research and make an educated decision on my own. I have been looking for a new boat that would meet 90 % of my needs for about a year. I was disappointed in other dealerships that listed boats and when viewed it was not the same and then the sales pitch kicked in. I enlarged my search and included Portland Oregon and was impressed with the inventory. I selected Sigler"s Marina first and viewed their sales and found a boat I wanted. Then the story gets great. I talked to Ron Gulley explained what I wanted in a boat. He suggested another one they had so I looked at that. The listing of extra options, features and manufacture's standard options made me want the boat "this is all on line". I added several additional options and secured the deal " fair price". Then I made arrangements to pick the boat up" I live 5 hours away and in another state". When I arrived I found this boat in the show room with happy Birthday Balloon's on it " I told Ron It was my birthday Week" and they did this and more. I met the whole staff and their performance and professionalism was off the chart. After reviewing the boat with Ron going over everything and more I was impressed. It was what they said it was. I got the privilege to meet the whole staff at Sigler's Marina, office staff and the support staff in the shop. They are all the best I have encountered. Everything they say comes true and they understand what being a consumer means! My friends have viewed this boat and lessened to my buying experience and all have said WOW. Outstanding customer service, very knowledgeable and personable! My dad and I had been looking for the right boat to purchase for the last 3 years and had talked to a couple of dealers before finding Siglers Marine. Thank god we did, Chris who is the sales manager knew more about Thunderjets then any of the other dealers combined! Any questions we asked he gave an answer right away. Siglers lets you test drive the boat before you purchase it, which was huge for us. After deciding to purchase the Thunderjet and some added options Chris went through everything with us to make sure we understood how things worked and taught us little tricks to make life easier while boating. We decided that we would do maintenance on our motors ourselves and before we knew it Vince in the parts and service department had everything we needed for our first maintenance ready and labeled what went to what. We drove from Spokane which is about a 6 hour drive so when we got home we noticed one of our snaps for our cover didn't stay snapped and needed replaced, we called Chris and right away he hooked us up with someone in our area that could help fix our problem. We also have a boat that we had before that we are selling in the spring and Chris let us know that he still worked for us and to let him know when we put it on Craigslist and he could help us get some keywords in the ad to help sell the boat. I have never gone shopping for a large ticket item, and expected to be assaulted before. The manager Chris, is out of control, and that is no exaggeration. When I commented that it didn't appear he wanted our business, he stated "I really don't give a #$%* about your business." He proceeded, after only 10 minutes in the store, to call us every name in the book, yell at us, and insist that we get off of his property. He stated "you guys are picky losers and will never be happy in life. I'm the SHIT, not you. F@#$ you guys." He is an extremely large man and was posturing and screaming obsenities. He was more disrespectful than I can articulate into words. On a brighter note, we went to a different marina and found a great boat that we are very happy with!! We traveled all the way from Northwest Washington State to buy from Sigler's Marine due to a great competitive advertised price on a superior website and awesome communication with salesman, Chris Young. From the first e-mail to telephone calls to personal contact, Chris is the most professional sales person we have ever encountered. Chris has the most expertise from sales of boats in England and other dealerships as well as boating credentials and experience. Ask him about his professional certifications. We were met before Sigler's opened on Monday morning June 25, 2015 by PJ and Ricardo who were also professional and helpful. The test drive on the Columbia River was most impressive and truly showed all of the features of the boat package that we were interested in buying from launching to returning the boat to the trailer. Safety, maintenance and every detail imaginable was covered in Chris' presentation. Sigler's rigging of our boat and the financing were exceptional as well. The binder with all the documents and information on boat, motor, trailer, accessories, etc. was professionally presented. I was finally able to get all of my ducks in a row and purchase a new 2016 thunderjet luxor ob with all additions I wanted Fri the 13th of may (had reservations on that). I started talking to Chris Young sometime in January, went to the sportsmens show in portland in Feb and picked out the boat we wanted, told Chris I still had a few things I needed to do before I could finance the boat, Chris was fine with that, went to the boat show in march and again talked to Chris and told him I was till waiting to get things settled, his reply was he would hold the boat for me at show price until I was ready. Chris also helped me sell the boat I had at the time advertising it on Craig's list for me and keeping the ad updated until it sold. buying this boat from Chris at Siglers marine in Troutdale was a very laid back experience, same thing after the sale, all things were explained in a very relaxed manner, then we also took the boat out on the water, (we had already taken one ride earlier in the buying process) Again Chris took the time to show us how to operate the motors as well as other things on the boat, expressing what the break in manner should be for the outboards a 140 horse and a 9.9 Suzuki engines. I purchased a 2016 ThunderJet and the experience was first rate! I shopped around three states and they were the best value. Pricing for the exact boat was the same at a couple other dealers but that same boat at Singlers came with a upgraded motor. That sold me. Chris was extremely knowledgeable with not only the boats, but everything one would want to hook up to the boat. He sells these add-ons but doesn't push them. If you want, he will sell. If you feel you can get it cheaper elsewhere, well he will say great. He won't press you. However, after I bought the lowrance system on-line and paid a guy to install it, It would have been a better value, saving me time and labor costs just to have them do it. I'll remember this next time. Had a minor issue with the kicker motor I also purchased from Singlers. The response time to contact me back was less then a day. The service guy there figured it was the quick-connect fitting. He mailed me a new one (since I'm not close enough to bring it in). Problem solved!! I'm extremely happy with the boat purchase and the response to my concern with my kicker motor. I've recommended them several times to friends since my experience and I will continue! I spent a couple of weeks researching fishing boats via the internet and visiting several boat dealers. I found Siglers's Marine in Troutdale, Oregon while doing my research on the internet. I like the fact that they post pictures of all their boat inventory with prices on each boat. Each boat has details of all the accessories listed. Their business model seems to focus on making it simple to buy a boat. They have a very large inventory of boats and knowledgeable sales people. They know their boats and they offer a free, no obligation test ride. We tried three boats out on the Columbia River. I found their posted prices to be less than other dealers that I spoke to. I reviewed and visited the dealerships on Crestliner, Weldcraft, Alumaweld, Hewescraft, Kingfisher and Thunderjet. Any of these boats except the Crestliner would have worked for what we were looking for in a boat. We bought the Thunderjet Luxor OB OS 20' with a 200 hp Yamaha and a 9.9 hp kicker motor along with a EZ Loader swing tongue trailer. The sales manager, who owns his own boat, was extremely organized, knowledgeable and fact oriented. When we arrived to pick up the boat, they said they wanted to take us out on the Columbia to test the boat and get us acquainted with our new boat. They were very helpful and responsive during the pre-sales prices are the best I could find. I was an out of state purchaser so I needed to get the titles and paperwork from them in order to register my boat in my state. I was told this would take 6-8 days something which I paid $75 for. Not a problem as I had 15 days before my state required me to register my boat. We are now at 12 since my purchase and no paper work. I contacted Siglers to find out where the paperwork was. I was told it had not been sent yet but would go out the next day. The next question was had I enjoyed using my boat yet? To this I answered no it was sitting in my garage because I could not legally use it as I had no documentation to register it. I called two days later as I had yet to receive my paperwork as promised for the second time and was told it would be arriving that day. To which I asked for tracking on the paperwork. At the end of the day I received the tracking information that showed the package had not been even sent until after my last call. I sent an email expressing my displeasure on the after sales support. To this day almost a week later I have yet to get a response on why I was not able to get my paper work in a timely fashion. read more

Purchased my new ThunderJet Luxor 20 at the end of October 2016. ThunderJet and Sigler's Marine are as good or better than all the others. I live in CA and had been looking for an 18-20 foot aluminum boat for several months. I investigated at least 5 other brands of heavy gauge aluminum boats. Luckily I came across Sigler's add for the ThunderJet. Sigler's pricing and inventory are un-matched. Test drive was easy and quick as they are 5 minutes from the Columbia river. Price is much lower than CA pricing (even after delivery from Oregon to California) when compared to local ThunderJet dealers and other brands' dealers as well. No gimmicks on the price. The price is what they say it is. It is a quality boat at a competitive price with great service. They didn't skimp on the trailer. Double axles with double surge disc brakes are great. UHMW guides and two speed winch. Initial service from Chris Y. was great. Post purchase 'training' was awesome. Post purchase, Chris answered my questions and got right on a couple of minor issues with the boat! We bought our new boat from Chris Young at Sigler's Marine in Troutdale,OR. We drove clear from Boise,ID (450 miles) because of their prices. Chris beat everyone's price by at least $2000.00. When we finally got there, Chris took us for a test ride in the Columbia River which was really awesome...no other dealer does that. Best thing is that the price was exactly as quoted over the phone...no surprises!! 4 years later we called to have him help us with getting a value of our boat because we were trading it in for a travel trailer. Chris spent 45 minutes on the phone with me and emailed the values so I could use them with my new purchase. Nobody else would do that if you weren't buying another boat from them. I recently purchased a 2015 Thunderjet Luxor o.b. limited edition, from Siglers Marine in Troutdale Oregon, I live in northern Utah, and I really did a lot of research on dealers, and that type of boat, I contacted Chris and through several emails, and a couple phone calls, we finalized the purchase, I was able to get a day off of work, and Chris not only agreed to meet me on a Saturday but to also go in an hour early to make sure I was able to get headed the 700 miles back to Utah in good time, Chris went over the boat with me, and was VERY thorough, and knowledgeable about the boat and boats in general, I found out he is an avid boater, not just a boat salesman, we went and did the test run on the boat also, I would recommend siglers and Chris to anyone I am very happy with the service and preparation on the boat.. read more

I bought my boat from Siglers Marine at the Portland boat show in 2011. It was the best looking boat at the time and had the best price I could find. I searched for six months prior and my local dealer would not match Siglers prices and they would not take me out for a test drive so I went to the show and bought one from Siglers. I did the test drive the day after the show and picked it up. Now when I need a question answered I don't call my local dealer I just call their service manager and either get the part I need or they recommend where I can get the part or work done.
