He was very encouraging, collaborative and patient and he probably could have charged me more for the value that he provided. As if that was not enough, on the day of the service, we ran out of programs and I texted to see if I could order more copies and get them in 2 hours.....Ayom came through and offered to deliver them to the church or hotel. The product and service far exceeded everyone's expectations. The program is the star of the show at funerals and I needed the family to be happy with it. I hired Legacy Sign Group to install three awnings on my building for nearly $18,000. After…read moreinstallation, I noticed the awnings billowing excessively in light wind. When I reported this, the owner Shaun inspected the awnings and said the frames must have gotten bent during shipping. I was concerned, as bent frames should not have been installed. Shaun sent a technician who attempted to "fix" the issue by getting up on a ladder and pounding on the frames with a hammer in an attempt to "straighten" them, which did not fix the problem. Shaun then sent the frame manufacturer to my business to inspect the awnings. The manufacturer declared the frames weren't bent but had been installed incorrectly by Shaun's team. After he adjusted the frames, the billowing issue was resolved. I became concerned that hammering on the frames trying to "straighten" them was unnecessary and may have caused damage to the integrity of the frames. Shaun was unresponsive to my concerns about potential damage the inappropriate hammering may have caused and kept insisting there was no problem with the frames. When I requested a written extended warranty for the frames, Shaun finally agreed but then produced a warranty that covered the awning fabric but not the frames. After involving my lawyer, I eventually secured an extended warranty for the frames as well. I incurred $895 in legal fees during this process, which I deducted from the final invoice. Shaun threatened to come to my business and remove the awnings from the building unless I paid in full, including the legal fees. In the end, I paid the full amount to avoid further conflict, but I found this experience unprofessional and unfair. As a business owner, I don't take writing negative reviews lightly, but I believe it's important to share this experience.

This could have been avoided with some better communication, like sending a proof before printing, but I didn't make a big deal out of it. Simply pointed out the errors. The problem came when the owner was extremely rude about having to redo the job. He resorted to shouting, name calling and hanging up on me. Now I've made three trips to this place and still don't have a sign. If you're looking for an efficient, respectful business to make your sign, avoid this place.

I remember he was very friendly on the phone and while his main bread an butter is in producing sounds and graphics, he mentioned he could also print out my docs. In the end I wound up not needing to print those. Fast forward to now and I've been having to do a lot of print jobs of resumes lately due to needing to seek new employment. I was looking for a closer option than Merrillville or Portage and recalled Sounds & Graphics in Lake Station. So I went to S&G to print the page I needed. One interesting tidbit...he's in the middle of an at least two block long parking area with numerous rows of businesses with only two main exits on each end. That made for an interesting arrival. Anyway once inside there's a half wall area where you can drop off and pick up orders. I put in my simple print request and after a few confirmations he was able to print it out. He also offers fax services if needed. The print cost was way more economical per page than Staples or FedEx. Wish I had gone to him a few days ago when I had a larger print order of resumes. My job at the time was a simple one but it's great knowing there's an option closer to me. And kudos to Emilio for providing friendly service as well.
