He changed out the faucet plus I went ahead & also had him replace the faucet on the sink in that bathroom. I'm very happy with the work Luis did & I will definitely hire him again. I need to replace my garbage disposal so I'll be calling him for that very soon. I also have some other projects that I'm planning to do which I've already talked to Luis about & when the time comes I'll have him do these for me.

We hired Luis to renovate our bathroom back in January. He was always very pleasant and…read moreaccommodating but from the beginning his work was very slow. He brought in different people to work but they only seemed to work 3-4 hours per day. Luis seemed very disorganized as he often would show up very late or not at all and was quite distracted while he was working. After the second month had gone by and tile work hadn't started, we began to convey our frustrations. Luis hired his cousin Eligio to install the tile and perform additional work. The floor tile went in first and it looks good, but halfway through the shower tiling is when the quality problems began. One morning I went to the garage and the inside was covered in tile dust. Eligio was cutting tiles in our garage with our car and our neighbor's car. We had to pay for carwashes. The tile saw was close the car he scratched the car with a tile. Luis said he would take care of the scratch but never did. The bottom half of the shower's tiles are aligned and even, but most all of the top half of the tiles are misaligned and uneven to the point where Luis agreed it was unacceptable. The corners where tiles meet should be trimmed out with tile trim, but it most cases they did not install the trim, which leaves the raw tile edge exposed. He blamed his cousin for the previous delays and poor tiling and promised to get another tiler to correct the work. He never did. Toward the end of our experience with Luis we had visitors and gave Luis the week off, which he appreciated because he was working too many jobs at once. He also took the following week off which was not agreed upon. The week after that he said he could come Wednesday and that's when all of our patience was exhausted. We told him this was unacceptable and we needed him full-time until the job was complete. We never heard from him again after several amicable attempts to re-engage him. Luis left this bathroom renovation about ¾ complete and forced us to pay another contractor to finish the remaining tasks including: connect power outlets to the exposed wires, install shelving, install fixtures, move a recessed ceiling light, install exhaust fan, install molding, hang mirrors, and repair a drywall hole.

However, I'm still finding…read moresloppy painting spots in my home, which is pretty frustrating, so I hope this helps to improve their business. I had my whole place painted (walls and ceiling). The good: - pricing (although maybe you get what you pay for) - they're overall nice guys The bad: - Communication was lacking. It was difficult to get clear answers over email and when we talked on the phone he couldn't remember who I or my project was. - Sloppy painting all around. The edges around trim, doors, windows are not super straight and clean. Plus, after they were "finished" I found so many places that had not been painted at all - like around ceiling fans, lighting, and behind the toilet. I asked them to come back to correct, and they did the next day. - I asked them to take down bathroom fixtures (towel racks, etc) and patch/paint as I planned to install them in a different place. After completing the project, I asked where my fixtures were and was told that the guys must have thrown them out. Huh?? I never instructed them to do this. I said as much and Adrian said he would replace. The fixtures then magically appeared in a bag on my floor when I returned home. No apology or explanation. - I bought all the paint separately (my choice since I wanted something different) and confirmed how much they would need in advance. I then asked again on the first day and he said what I bought looked like plenty. Next day I am told that they need more. I get things can change once you start painting, but the paint wasn't on sale by then and it's pricey, plus I had to leave work to go to the store. And of course, they didn't use the extra paint I bought so it was wasted money. Also they didn't even seal the open paint cans when done.

I would stay away from this guy and will never let him in my house or any of my properties. She informed me the rep would be Marcus who called me later to confirm appt however there was a time discrepancy...rep stated 9a and he said all he had was 3p. I took the 3 tho I wanted an earlier appt. Before the date I received an email confirming the 9a time. I informed Marcus and he said it was a system glitch. Hmmm ok. He arrived on time for my appt which was 7/24/24. He took his time measuring, answering concerns, using contractor language I didn't know about. I had a couple of issues with the work protocol. A prior contractor informed me he would be replacing entire sections for the same price vs Nomach wanted to work around them for the same price. He went to his truck and wrote out proposals which took about 1 hour. I know my house needs a good tuckpointing job but on one side it's just a few areas, the other side needs a little more attention and the garage needs sum tlc all around the bottom 1/2 but $24,609.24 is outrageous to me. The prior contractor wanted the same. I understand they may be qualified to do the job but that is a good chunk of my income to pay for a job. I get why my neighbors and others do it the cheaper route. People have $25k just laying around? We talked about other jobs too like replacing my door frame in my garage, said he had to consult with someone else; adding gutters to my garage, replacing wood - $5,222.11.....should have used the other guy 2 years ago who said he would do the same for $2100; replacing 5 concrete stairs and not the landing - $9,717....another guy said $10k 2 remove everything and rebuild. I'm sure Nombach does good work but u gotta have money to deal with them. Not for the middle class folk like me.
