I was left waiting in my hot car. I waited for well over an hour,for the staff to let me know I could come in, after sending me a message to wait for them to let me know when the room was ready. I watched the staff throw out garbage and leave for the day. There was no communication from the staff about the delay. When I text as well as called the office leaving a message, it was ignored. I left a message for the dentist to call me back with an explanation, it was also ignored. Not only did I not receive the service, I am out of half a days wage. This is not the first time Dr Baines has left the office when I had an appointment. Last time was her sons graduation. I'm guessing she knew well in advance her son was graduating and could have rescheduled my appointment. My time is valuable, and it's disheartening to see a Dental office that doesn't respect that. I won't be returning and cannot recommend this practice to anyone who values good service.

I moved to Edmonton about 6 months ago, and decided it was about time I found a dentist here…read more.. First of all, they didn't tell me until after my appt that they don't do direct billing. The fact that I had just gotten paid was the only reason I could afford to pay them, since you know, I'm a student aka poor! Though the receptionist told me my insurance cheque would take no longer than a week (its been 9 days now...) The first appt was ok, Dr. Sekhon seemed very knowledgeable and actually went through all my xrays with me. Turns out I apparently need a crown (EEK!-$$$) after I have my wisdom teeth removed. (OUCH+$$$). My second appt was just a cleaning, the hygienist seemed very knowledgeable as well, and thorough. She was also very nice. The service was good for the most part, however I have literally been sick to my stomach, not knowing whether or not I'll be able to pay my rent on time because of 2 dentist appts. Unfortunately for this reason I will be switching dentists, there is no way I can afford to be paying $450 up front for each appt, and then $1800 for a crown. I really don't understand why all places can't do direct billing.

After not seeing a dentist for like at LEAST two and a half years when I still lived in Calgary (and only because it was kind of an emergency), I decided it was high time to take advantage of my benefits plan and book a cleaning somewhere. Thanks to some good online reviews, I found this little gem of a practice. I checked in for my cleaning, and left my info for benefits with the front staff who took care of everything for me. My appointment started promptly. I let my hygienist (Ana?) know it had been awhile and was not made to feel guilty or anything for going too long between cleanings. She was friendly, very knowledgeable, and verbalized most steps of the cleaning as I am SUPER FREAKED OUT BY TEETH THEY'RE SO WEIRD YOU GUYS. Anyways, she advised that I see a dentist soon for a full checkup & for a filling on a cracked tooth. I reentered the front office, expecting to make an appointment somewhere in the near future, but one of their dentists, Dr. Chiang had a cancellation and they were able to fit me in ON THE SPOT. Dr. Chiang was thorough & awesome. Two hours from start to finish, I left with clean teeth, the peace of mind of having a full dental exam, and TWO FILLINGS. I also had a very frozen mouth and was very embarrassed and none of the staff laughed at me even once as we finished the transaction. I loved how friendly this office was, and I LOVED that they handled direct billing for both of my coverage plans (Great West Life, and Blue Cross). Going to the dentist is one of those adulting things that really stresses me out, and I really did feel at ease. Would recommend! :)

After my longtime dentist moved away, I was unhappy with the quality of some of the dental work I received. Some fillings felt rough and made flossing difficult. I also had a cavity that was not treated, and it later became painful enough that I needed antibiotics. My current dentist told me she did not know why it hadn't been filled sooner and that treating it earlier likely would have been easier on the tooth. I also felt pressured into having a tooth extracted without fully understanding all of my options at the time. Looking back, I wish I had sought a second opinion. When I brought my concerns to the clinic, I felt they were quickly defended rather than fully listened to. That was especially disappointing after being a loyal patient for so many years. The office itself was clean, and the staff were generally courteous. However, trust is very important to me when it comes to dental care, and unfortunately I no longer feel confident continuing treatment there. For that reason, my family and I have decided to seek care elsewhere.

It is hard to enjoy taking a trip to the dentist, but I really don't mind going to see my dentist at this location. The receptionists are really nice and after only one visit, they recognized my boyfriend by name when he walked in. The building is really nice. It is modern and comfortable. There are televisions in the ceiling tiles so you can watch TV while you're getting your teeth cleaned. I find that many dentists are pretentious and are firm about flossing, rinsing and all that jazz, but my dentist admitted to me that she hates flossing and does not do it everyday. It made it much easier for me to admit that I hate flossing and I don't do it as much as I should. I am so happy I made the switch to this dentist. A little something extra: They also make appointments on Saturdays, which is excellent for working people or children. A+ for convenience.

Prior to her, I had some doozies of a dentist ( one who told me I had a rotten tooth and it needed pulling. I still have that tooth and it is in great shape ). Another dentist I had told me in 5 yrs I will need dentures ( I still have all my teeth ). So when I went to this office, I was apprehensive. Long story short... she saved the tooth. Since then she is the only dentist I would ever trust to work on my mouth. Her staff are amazing and take great care with their patients. Her practice has expanded quite a bit but the service is still the same. they tell you straight out and do not recommend any work that does not need to be done. If I could recommend a dentist, it is this practice. And that my friends is the tooth and nothing but the tooth !

Had three bad experiences…read more First. Had a regular check up and cleaning done, everything went well. After we were done I was put into a side room full of merchandise and was trying to be talked into buying a very expensive electric toothbrush. I kept saying I would think about it, after about 5-10 mins trying to push this product in me they finally stopped and took me to pay my bill. Second time I needed a retainer replaced for my front bottom teeth. Thought everything went well till a couple of hours later I started getting a very bad headache. Thought nothing of it. After a couple of day I went back to get the retainer readjusted. Took two separate visits till it was done right, instantly the headaches went away. About a month later the retainer broke off of my tooth and cut my tongue, so I took it out myself and threw it away. My third visit was for a cleaning and check up. All went well till the billing. They put I through and as I was about to leave I checked to see what they charged me for. Two procedures on the bill they didn't do, X-rays and fluoride. I brought this to their attention and I was told, "we'll get you next time". I believe that is insurance fraud, but what ever. Let's just say I found a new dentist in the area. Super happy now.

I walk in, they know me, they treat you like family and all in an incredibly safe environment. I have an overly sensitive gag reflex and they know how to work around it and help me through it. Seriously Dr. Hart should have his own YouTube channel. He narrates the entire procedure and his obvious OCD makes every procedure perfect. The support staff are equally attentive to detail and make you feel like your a member of an intricate dental dance. Thank you all for putting yourself on the line for my physical heath.

Each time I have been the staff have been very friendly and kind. They answer all the questions I have about the process they will be doing on my teeth. The location is in a great spot and the building is very clean and kept proper. The only complaint I would have is that I had to sit for quite awhile in the waiting room before my apointment. Dr Fedoretz was very kind though and made great conversation while I was getting my dental work done. Overall super happy with university dental. I will continue to go here and get my teeth work done

She organized all of my insurance coverage, even calling them to get more information. I thought I had just got her on a good day. Nope! When I went in for my appt she was there and was just as awesome as well as all the wonderful ladies behind the desk. Not to mention they have the newest and coolest massage chair I've ever been in! So that gives them a 5 start just for that! Once all the insurance was cleared up and I went in for my appt it continued to be extremely enjoyable and fun. The doctor is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He makes sure you understands everything. Not only is the doctor so smart and great but Lori my hygenist was equally as amazing. I have bad anxiety about pain and they did absolutely everything I could have asked for to keep the experience as enjoyable as possible. This is absolutely my neq dental office from now on and my husband and I will also be taking out children there because it is just that great!! So happy I found them!
