    Chicken Pepper Fry
    Mary C.

Signature India is a more of a casual spot located near the Manchester Walmart/Costco, across from Pan Asia. The space is relatively small with minimal decorations but staff is friendly and the bathrooms are very clean. My boyfriend and I went here with a friend with dietary restrictions. This is her favorite Indian spot near Saint Louis since it's reportedly very authentic and serves halal. (Her family is from India and this is her dad's favorite.) There is a wide selection on the menu from dosas to even baked goods -- I haven't personally gotten to try these yet but were told the pistachio cakes are very good. We got garlic naan, onion pakora, chicken with pepper fry, chicken tikka masala, navratna korma, and the boneless chicken biryani (they also have a bone-in option). It appears to be very authentic indeed -- I had a hard time tasting much since it was incredibly spicy even when requesting the lowest possible spice level. (The food came out pretty fast for how much we ordered so not sure if the curries are made ahead of time so they were unable to adjust the spice?). Everything with the exception of the onion pakora and naan was spicy. I had also ordered an aloo paratha (but they accidentally served us an extra naan instead). We ended up being overstuffed so I didn't mind. The chicken tikka I could tell was delicious with soft chicken. The navratna korma (veggie korma with cashews) was also flavorful with the sauce but my boyfriend and I needed lots and lots of rice for both. The chicken pepper fry was basically like eating fireballs XD but my friend loved this dish. My boyfriend's favorite was the biryani (also very, very spicy). However, the waiters here are very nice! They gave us all free mango lassi because they saw we were struggling. The mango lassi was the perfect amount of mango sweetness and very much needed yogurt to help with the flavorful spice. We took home the chicken biryani to mix with more white rice at home and I could tell it was very flavorful with generous portions of meat. I am probably a wimp, but just to note to be careful if you have low spice tolerance like me! My friend loved everything here. Also as a side note: the restaurant serves disposable water bottles only, which I didn't mind but some have noted before.

The Indian food here is good. One of my favorite Indian dish that I like is the goat biryani. We also ordered garlic naan and curry chicken. One other dish that is fried bread type with dip was filling. Despite only two tables with customers at the time, it was a little time before we had staff to come and take our orders. This could be due to the other customers at the other table because they seems to have specific requests. However the staff brought us the food in a reasonable timeframe and did check in on us twice.

Really decent Indian food. I participated clearly enjoyed that it was not watered down like some other restaurants we've been too. A nice experience and nice people.

Absolutely yummy and finger-lickin-good food. A surprise find during my Missouri trip! I'm happy I got to eat some of the best South-Indian food I've eaten in a while. My review is not just based on one visit. Their food was so good that I ordered the very next day. Very homey food and spice levels are apt. I was especially mind-blown by the goat biryani. Never had anything like that before. Day 1 order: Bisebelabath, Butter chicken, Garlic naan, Mango lassi and chocolate pastry Day 2: Goat biryani, Curd rice & samosas Price-$ Quantity-5/5 Quality-5/5 Spice levels- Just the right balance of flavors Leftovers- Plenty Will I come back? HELL YEAH! P.S: EVERYTHING in my order was delicious.

Came here for Valentine's Day. They have special valentines dinner for 2 for $39.99. You can pick from limited selections but it covers drinks to appetizers to entrees to desserts. It was a good deal and very tasty. Very spicy but flavorful, very nice.

Great food! Very flavorful. Ordered chicken korma and butter chicken with a side of butter naan. Food was brought out quickly and hot and just the right amount of spice. It was a little pricey - but about what similar restaurants charge. The rice was bland, could use something...maybe peas? Will definitely be back.

We have been to a lot of the Indian restaurants on Manchester, but Signature India! We went on a Saturday night and decided to dine in. It was busy, which is a great sign! We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala (which we have learned is really a British dish), Vegetable Samosas, Dal Palak (lentils with spinach), and the Vegetable Manchurian. The Samosas came first with some of that delicious green dipping sauce (I don't know what it is called :-)). They were tasty! We enjoyed them and so did our 3 year old son! The main dishes were good, and we liked the Tikka the best. It was prepared with good sauce, chicken was not too bad, and loved the added vegetables (pepper and onion). Lentils are always a hit, but the spinach overtook this dish (Dal Palak) to the point where there was almost too much for us. Our new dish for the evening that we had never tried, was the Vegetable Manchurian. The overall flavor was okay, but the spiciness is what made it good. Every dish paired well with the Basmati Rice and Naan, which I feel is a must to have both to compliment Indian food. Overall, the Samosas and Chicken Tikka Masala were the hit of the night. If we were to try Signature India again, we would definitely order different dishes and the Biryani!

We ordered the Chicken 65 APPETIZER, not the full meal. On the menu, the chicken 65 appetizer says $9.00, and the full meal says $14. When we finished eating and asked for the check the receipt listed the full meal price. We politely mentioned that we got charged for the entree instead of the appetizer - instead of correcting it, she told us the menu price was wrong and the appetizer is $14 now. We didn't believe the appetizer almost doubled in price from the menu, coincidentally to the exact same price as the entrees, so we asked what the "new" price of the entree is and they said $19 (more expensive than anything else on the entire menu). Nowhere on the Doordash app, Google menu, or PHYSICAL menu does it say the appetizer is $14.00 or that the full order is $19.00. If they just made a mistake on the check, it wouldn't have been a big deal at all - we weren't bothered and thought it would be a simple correction. But lying to us about fake prices instead of just offering to fix it was really disappointing. There was no one else to raise the issue with because our server was the only employee present. I would love to know how to contact a manager.

Not really conducive to eat in, it's not a totally comfortable vibe. But we did! As well as a few other people that came at the same time. The service was great! Server guy, I'm not sure what to call him, was extremely attentive, personable and did pretty much all the running around while we were there. He handled all the tables, handled the people picking up food for take out, and did it all smoothly. The food really was amazing. Again, see the pictures I posted. We over ordered, on purpose, to try a little of a lot of things. The corn soup was different, but good. Seems to be a mix of a few cans of cream corn, broth, and a few chicken bits (if you ordered chicken). We found it pleasant. The fried spinach was amazing. The yellow curry was amazing. The Mongolian beef was amazing. Thank you for the rice, there was quite a bit of it and the fried shrimp (I forget the official name...fried shrimp?) off the appetizer menu) was AMAZING. We will definitely go back. Even if it's just take out. I must say....we took the left overs home and they made the trip just fine and were still good as left overs. Highly recommend. By then other patrons had arrived and jumped the line. There was a lot of variety in both meat and vegetarian dishes. One stand out was the tandoori chicken. The chicken curry was also good. The chaat fixings were good. There was chai as part of the buffet. Ambience was a bit odd. Water was served in bottles as opposed to glasses of ice water like most Indian restaurants have. Paper plates, and plastic, forks, and spoons as well as low quality brown napkins were the order of the day. You bus your own table. It was not the gold standard of Indian buffets, but it's better than any post pandemic offering that I have been to.

I couldn't let my camera eat first. We actually ordered to go but there was a bit of a wait. Not too buttery, the cream inside was very light with a hint of sweetness which I enjoyed and the slices of strawberry balanced it all out. After I ate that, our drinks were ready to pick up.
