The bathrooms had heated towel racks and mirrors (never have to worry about steaming them up). The down side: I think our room was recently painted, as you could still smell the fumes. Also, as like many hotels, it was a bit loud. You could hear people walking down the hall and the band playing downstairs. You could also smell the kitchen - as they have a wonderful restaurant attached to the hotel. Maybe ask for something other than the first floor.

The showers are horrible because there is no door so the water splatters everywhere in the bathroom. It wasn't well designed and needs a total remodel. However, the reason I give it one star isn't the old fixtures and design. It is the horrible service in the restaurant. We went there twice to sit in the bar area to get some snacks and drinks. Both times, no one approached us until I got up to ask how we place an order. There was enough staff but were ignoring us. The second time, I was sitting by myself and no one approached me to take an order although one of the server spent almost 10 minutes chatting with one of the patrons. Clearly she had all the time in the world. I patiently waited staring at all the staff trying to get their attention but they just walked by without even glancing at me. My husband finally joined me and sat down. As soon as he sat down, a server came to take our order. I realized they were ignoring me because I'm Asian and he is white. The staff here is very racist. I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you're a racist and you're okay with this behavior. We are never coming back here.

I cannot understand how you can admit liability, in writing and offer a refund and then just not do it. What if the whole of society behaved in this manner. The manager Antony Bates and customer relations manager Ian McKee are still as of today not taking my calls or emails. Customer services won't acknowledge that I have liability accepted in writing. They don't belong to ABTA so have no accountability. Do not give them your money. This whole debacle started with waking up in a room full of marajuana smoke and when I complained being told "what do you expect if you stay somewhere like this". No wonder the receptionist felt she could treat me with such disdain - no accountability and she knew it. Silly me for thinking the customer has rights.

The lobby is a grand space with the floors and rooms circling high up above you that has a very old school Hollywood feel to it. The White Bar is a great place to grab a cocktail and is accomodating to non residents too. If you have been to the Malmaison and Hilton then you will be familiar with the style and plan of the rooms. You pay for a clean, open and modern room but certainly not for anything unique as it is clear that all hotel rooms are just the same - until you pay the big bucks which I haven't so I can only imagine how weird and wonderful they are ?!

The highest of ceilings. Behind the front desk is their lounge/bar area, and beyond that is a full restaurant. It never seemed to have anyone in it during our time there however. We took the elevator to our assigned room on the second floor. Hallways are quite dark, and not so welcoming. In the room itself, everything just seemed to be cheaply done. The bathroom vanity was simply a table, the shower tiles were wobbly and not secured, there were cracks in the ceiling/wall, and even the paint and caulking looked sloppy. The room also lacked any good lightening- both my husband and I pointed out how wildly dark one side of the room was despite all of the lights being on. Also, when I went to open the curtains, the whole thing (rod included) literally fell off of the wall. All in all, the room was clean, but again just felt so cheap. Here me out, I realize these could sound like petty things to complain about, but when you're paying extra in hopes of a higher-end stay, it's a real bummer when it turns out being "meh." Location wise however- fantastic! Right in the heart of Liverpool and walkable to truly everything. Shops, restaurants, the city center, and the docks. Also the staff were all very sweet. Enjoyed chatting with the various lobby bartenders during our stay.

We stayed in the same exact apartment as last time, so it almost felt like we we just coming back home. We've become so attached to that space that we actually might have to request that particular room from now on. My thoughts are, why bother booking a hotel for the same price (or in many cases, a more expensive price) when you can get a comfortable, spacious apartment instead? And bonus points for having Delifonseca and The Ship and Mitre within spitting distance. When my family comes here from New York for our wedding in 2012, Premier will be the main place we recommend.

The staff were very warm and welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable. And we were lucky to be there to enjoy a fabulous Christmas dinner (our first time having sticky toffee pudding-- oh my! So good!!). They even provided a yummy portobello mushroom main dish for two of us that are vegetarians. The daily buffet breakfast, which we pre-booked, was fresh, hot, plentiful, and delicious. The dock location was perfect - we could easily walk to museums, Liverpool ONE, and the rail stations. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The shower was fine, although no plug socket to charge my electric tooth brush, how's that even possible in a new modern build‍ At breakfast the next morning the service was a bit slow so if you are in a rush it could be a problem! The breakfast/restaurant area was clean and tidy with and plenty of space. The car park that is recommended is a ten minute walk which was on the only issue you come out on a different road so it took as to the one you drive in so it took a moment to get my bearings to get to the hotel. Certainly not for the price - a £90/night family room was ample for three ladies and all our girly getting ready needs. There were drawbacks - they included a lack of chair at the desk, a malfunctioning hairdryer, a pod-like bathroom liable to flood and a window which looked onto the street and through which a multitude of people stared at various times. However, the owner was more than friendly and even treated us to complimentary rosé before we ventured wedding-wards. Our room also featured plenty of mirrors and very very comfy beds - both invaluable. The breakfast was really good; lots of hangover placating orange juice and bacon was very welcome. The proprietor was also extremely flexible on check-in and check-out times while the hotel is in a great location close to the station and a short walk into the centre of Chester. Definitely recommended as a cheap and exceedingly cheerful Chester hotel.

Our only issue was that one of the main reasons we choice Indigo was because we saw on their website that they have a business center with printing, copying, faxing, and scanning services. We always look for this amenity when we travel during the week, as my husband usually needs to work. There was, however, no business center or services. I would have given them a 4, but this was a pretty major inconvenience for us.
