It was a bit of a challenge because although the property is waterfront, only the backside of the garage faced the water, and the rest of the property was seriously overgrown and cluttered. Legacy first drew detailed plan proposals and after three iterations, we had a final plan that more than embodied our vision. Some of the design elements we would never have thought of and they really added to the total. Next we got a detailed cost breakdown and timing. Having dealt with other contractors extensively, I did not expect the budget and timeline to be followed, but they were! We of course, made changes as we went, but each time, Joey would come out to discuss and then he would produce revised schematics, timing and pricing. As a result, there were never any surprises. The end result far exceeded our expectations and we have received lots of kudos from our friends & neighbors (some have hired Legacy themselves!). So this could not have been a better experience and I think this comes down to excellent architecture, superb project management and a steady team that not only knew what they were doing, but also had an artist's touch. The back story is we were looking at working with this contractor on a home we wanted to purchase…read more The home was not completed so we needed him to make a bid for the completion of the project and pull permits so that we could get a loan for the house. In order to purchase the home we needed a permit to build. In order to get a permit on the home we needed an engineer's sign off since the home was not permitted in the past. It was the contractor's responsibility to get an engineer to sign off on the building so that we could get a building permit and buy the property. After months of waiting the contractor failed to get an engineer to sign off on the home, we couldn't obtain a permit, so we lost the house/funding. We had already moved all of our stuff up to WA and this rendered us houseless. Furthermore, I spoke to the engineer and it appeared he had no plans to sign the house off as safe to live in. Since we are out of towners I feel like this contractor was attempting to bully us into a payment and then throw his hands up at the last minute and say that the home would never be approved to occupy by the county. During the bid process and permitting process Jason said many times that "he did not know how to do this" or was unsure on what the county/bank was asking. I think the project we were asking him to complete was simply too big for his experience level and he realized that towards the end and that is why it seemed to be clear that he was slowly pulling out of the project but wanted payment even though he knew that this project would not move forward. We agreed to pay a $2,500 deposit to the contractor when the building permit was obtained from the county. Now that we have no permit, no house, and no contract to build, this man is trying to force us into paying the deposit on our contract. I have told him I would pay for his time since it was a long investment, but he has failed to provide an itemized invoice of the time that he spent on putting things together. I have sent several emails to him trying to work with him on this but no response. I have moved to this area with my little family, and I am scared for my life due to the threats I have received from this contractor. He has told us that, "when people fuck us around, we have options." I am not sure what options this man is referring to but it does not make me feel comfortable or safe and above all it is poor business practices. This review is just meant to be cautionary. If you intend to use this contractor for anything other than a small project please be wary. He does not have the experience for it.

I am fair but can be very demanding and am not easy to please - so this is not just ignorant gushing. Ketron are the very best kind of contractors. Family business operated by people passionate about their trade and chasing perfection every day. Service and quality of product were class A. I received a total of 9 quotes for my full roof replacement (40 squares of composite) and Ketron were not the cheapest or going to have the fastest installation. They were just below average on cost and their install was actually going to be one of the longest once it was started. But they had a spot in their schedule to do the work that worked with my busy schedule (I never let contractors work when I'm not around) and their knowledge on the products and process seemed superb and their sales style of no BS, no push, just information made me believe they were going to provide the most value for what I paid. I was correct. Not only did they put a beautiful new roof on my house, they spent several extra days ensuring that every trim, fascia, and waterproofing detail was done perfectly so that I never have water in my house again. There's no way anyone promising 2 or 3 day roof replacements is going to be this thorough. Communication through out the process was spot on and no issues with paperwork or payment terms. They kept the site very clean after every work day. A comprehensive report at the completion of construction was handed over with great detail on any issues they encountered, how they were resolved, and photos showing exactly what I paid for being installed correctly. Genuinely enjoyed talking with both the owners and the entire process was as good as I have ever had with a contractor. Couldn't recommend strongly enough to anyone looking for any sort of roofing help - give Mitch and Clay a call. I will be using them again as my sole bid for new construction moving forward - the only contractor I trust this much. A partner in business not just another bidder.
