From the outside of the shop, you can't tell by its size the number of vintage gems there are inside the store. There are beautiful, value-priced clothing and accessories from myriad decades. Doug is kind and passionate about his vintage collection, and he can tell you the story behind every piece!

Staff are super friendly and kind. Just an update for those who like gifts that matter They are selling the cutest wooden houses in support of mental health . All the proceeds go the maker which is really amazing. They have a map of Manitoba and come with a little star so you can place your town on the map. For 15-20 dollars they are a steal and will look super cute in my kitchen. The staff said you can email the maker for custom provinces. I think they would make a great gift for a great cause.

No more treacherous stairs to get to this place. I like how they have expanded their offerings in the new larger space (the old Vita Health). Service is always pretty friendly and laid back. They have more changing rooms and a ton of cute casual and party dresses from $80-$150. Lots of accessories like scarves, hats, earrings and necklaces that won't break the bank. It's a fun place to shop and a must stop for me when I am in the Village.

Never consign anything at this store. The people running this store make a profit by choosing whatever price they want for something brand new with the price tag on it, allegedly giving you 40% but after the $15.00 " transaction fee, " you really get a ridiculous fraction of the value of your item. It is a good place to shop and acquire things, however, especially used mink coats.

We left a number of expensive items on consignment. They never gave us a list or told us what they…read morewould be selling for and what we would expect to recieve back. Called back a few weeks later and was told they didn't know us and didn't have any of our stuff. We then produced a claim number and suddenly they found our account and told us they had sold some of it. We went to collect the cheque and they told us there was no money there for us. When I reminded them of the phone conversation, they suddenly found a cheque for us. Then the owner came out of the back and literally screamed at me that I was being abusive to her employee. I quietly told her there was no need to yell at me but she continued to yell. I took the cheque and left a bit rattled. They then texted us and told us to come and collect our one remaining item and that we were banned from their store. We had no intention of ever going back there anyway. The worst retail experience ever. Would never recommend this store to anyone.

We thrift-shopped and camped our way from Montreal to Manitoba, and while I know that's not…read moreeveryone idea of a dream vacation, for me it was heaven. I love seeing what a community is discarding or donating for a second life, and I love the people in thrift stores who are all, like me, looking for a treasure, however they'll define that. And I especially love the community spirit of these small town shops where folks - mostly older ladies - are hanging out and exchanging news and giving old items new purpose and raising money to help each other out. The MCC thrift stores are I think my favourite. Mennonite Community shops in prairie towns. You have to get lucky here just like everywhere else, nothing in life is guaranteed, but anywhere you can thrift with an older community that values quality goods, and where demand is low you are going to find some beautiful things at very low prices. The Kildonan MCC is a Winnipeg example of the above, not as exceptional as the ones in smaller towns, but it's not in the city center either, and it's quite large and we did find some gems here and definitely found good vibes.
