Wish I could give less than one star... This company seriously blows when it comes to taking care of their residents. We have had multiple problems since moving into our rental house. I haven't even been able to get anyone to answer the damn phone EVER. They don't even return phone calls either. We never received a pool key when we moved in and it took several months before we got it (which is fine since the pool didn't open until end of May). We just tried the pool key and it doesn't even open the gate... The guy that originally set up our lease agreement is the only person who has been kind enough to help us with anything, even though its not his job but he seems to be the only one capable of being competent enough to do anything. Negative stars if I could. Had the great displeasure of dealing with these hideous people for two years. My landlord, who owns the house is an amazing lady. She hired these clowns to take care of the financial aspects of her property and I feel sorry for her. Upon moving in we immediately realized we needed to circumvent Silberman and directly contact our landlord if we needed anything. That company is a joke. And, despite the fact in 2020, we paid all of our rent and bills every single month (only two months were a few days late), they still tacked on late fees even though there was a government mandate eliminating them. The people that send emails and texts are incredibly unprofessional and rude and I am SO glad we are moving out of this house now, purely because Silberman made living there a terrible headache. I would NEVER recommend using this company!!! Ever!!! You are better off in an apartment complex or homeless shelter!! This company is absolutely the worst to communicate with. I have had to contact the owner of the house directly regarding issues caused by the property management company. They have attempted to file a false eviction twice!! One of the times it went all the way to court and I was held responsible to pay all fees for their mistake. Repairs for the house are held as your responsibility and cost to be made. If I handnt planned on staying in my current house until I had to move cities again, I would definitley not be choosing to stay under their "management". If you are a house owner, select someone else to handle your affairs!! I feel this company poorly represents the owners wishes and fails to communicate on a full level with them. 5 months ago, during the first month of rental there was a ceiling fan that did not work, they replaced it but they did not replace it with a similar unit. The new one was really cheap and hummed really bad. I immediately asked if they would replace it. They said someone would call. No call was received. its been months. How did they not know this during the last renters inspection. Requested to add wiring to the dryer booster fan in the attic as the booster fan was never wire to local codes. This is required by building codes as the distance from the dryer to the outside is too far and can cause fires. Been waiting for 60 days to get this repair. Carefully think about using this company. They are owned by attorneys so good luck if you contest anything. read more

Awful, completely unprofessional company, incredibly bad at fixing any issues, destroyed our kitchen during "renovations" that took over a month (and the repair left it in a worse state than when we moved in), completely refuses to reply to any attempt to contact them, and stole our security deposit. Horrible, very unprofessional company. Theres no way to get into contact with anyone. They never came to fix any damages that were supposed to be fixed prior to move in. They charge late fees even when on record they already received my rent payment. I really had doubts that this company was even legit. They run there business irresponsibly. I lived here for 1yr and was only able to get into contact with them twice and all they did was send a text saying they will get in contact with owner and let him know of work order. read more

They have located some high quality tenants for us and they have done a good job with the administrative aspects of property management. This property management company is a joke. Silberman realty acts on behalf of the owner of my condo. All communication with this company is a complete joke. They almost refuse to speak to me over the phone because they want a record of all communication, yet they don't actually use these emails for their records. The A/C went out at my condo, and the whole things needs to be replaced. It's been 3 weeks, and we still do not have a working AC. They show no sympathy. They give no apologies. When trying to talk with someone about other issues I had, I was emailed by the VP of the company, Christian Jones. He can't write a professional email to save his life. It has now been 2 weeks that I have told him my issues. He wanted me to tell him where in the lease he could find this information (Not my job, but I did it anyway). Still have heard nothing. As a real estate and property management company, I would think communication (especially in a professional manner) would be of the utmost importance. Lived in a property manage by them for 4 months. I was legally allowed to move out because the home had hazardous living conditions. I asked several times for items to be fixed, never happened. The plumbing was shot. I received $3k water bill for 2 months. Finally someone came to fix the issue. Then a pipe burst soaking the carpet and some of my shoes and clothes with sewage water. They had no choice but to fix this immediately however refused to replace the carpet! They only offered to pay for a shampoo machine and I clean it myself! It's sewage water... the carpet and padding needed to be replaced. Then the ac broke. Feed up I contacted the city of houston so they could smell the sewage mildew and see the owners negligence in person. The home was flagged and an embarrassing orange citation was placed In our front yard. I gave Silberman a 2wks notice. Nothing was fixed so I moved out. About a month later I received a letter stating I owe $20k in damages and I wasn't getting my deposit back. $7k for carpet, which there was only carpet in the closets and 2 the smallest rooms out of 6 bedrooms. Mind you the sewage spill. $3k for floor refinish, I only lived there 4 months! They charge me $1000 for a rusted iron gate that was broken when I moved in! This was only done to keep my deposit. Silberman can not file any type of judgement on me the judge would laugh in their face. You expect anyone to believe you spent $20k on repairs AFTER a well qualified rent paying tenant moved out due to owner negligence?! LOL Through all of this drama I was pregnant and just decided to let it go. They are dishonest people that clearly were desperate to keep my $3250 deposit. If you see that a property you are interested in is managed by Silberman, move on! My roommate and I have never had a worse experience working with a management company. We constantly had issues with Silberman... one instance was we turned in a maintenance request about a broken dishwasher the day we moved in and the day we moved out a year later it still wasn't working. They would have someone come in and "look" at it, and say they fixed it but they never actually fixed the issue. They also would refuse to talk to you on the phone. The little communication we had with them was always over email, very vague somewhat rude emails at that. We took very good care of the apartment because we wanted to get most if not all of our deposit checks back (we sent in separate deposit checks up front so we were expecting two checks back). When we finally moved out and were waiting for our deposit checks, my roommate received ONE check with BOTH of our names on it (for over $2000, so a significant amount of money)... my roommate and I have different banks and neither bank would accept the check (obviously!). I've never heard of roommates receiving a deposit check like this, especially since we gave them separate deposit checks up front. We emailed Silberman requesting two separate checks and they said "That is not possible. You will have to cash it out." THIS EMAIL CAME FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMPANY! So short, vague, and unprofessional! It starts from the top down apparently. Their response said to us that they don't care at all if we received our money back at all. Thankfully, after several conversations with my roommate's bank, they made an exception and we were finally able to get our money. The bank told us that most banks do not allow this unless the recipients have a joint account...DUH! Silberman should know this, right?! All in all... our experience was terrible with Silberman from day one and we would NEVER recommend them. The only positive comment I would say about Silberman was Robert, the realtor who showed us the apartment, was nice and professional during the short amount of time we worked with him. read more

Silberman Realty has managed my rental properties for the last two years. They have taken the hassle out of owning rental properties by: (1) screening potential tenants to fill vacancies in a quick and efficient manner, (2) collecting and managing rent receipts and disbursing those funds to me with minimal delay, and (3) handling any concerns or issues of each tenant in a professional and courteous manner. My impression of Silberman Realty is that they are as concerned with maximizing my return on investment (ROI) as I am. I chose Silberman to manage leasing of an inherited property in mid-2016. As a novice, they were very helpful (and appreciated) in guiding me through becoming a landlord.The rental property has needed a lot of work, and the new tenants are sometimes a pain in asking for maintenance when only battery or light bulb replacement was needed. The tenants' explanations (or lack thereof) regarding what the problem is is frustrating. Jill Rose has been a good go-between, has a good understanding of both sides of tenant/landlord issues, and works well toward resolving these issues. She has been a jewel in finding alternate maintenance resources to save me money on repairs and upkeep. read more
