HIRE AN INSPECTOR ELSEWHERE!! We purchased an older home and attended the complete inspection. While we thought our inspector, Doug, was telling us all of the information we needed to negotiate our deal, he was not. I specifically asked the inspector if there was any aluminum wiring ANYWHERE throughout the house and he told me no, there is no aluminum wiring running anywhere throughout the house. He then marked in the report that there needed to be oxidant gel on the aluminum terminations. Conflicting information. After moving in and having an electrician come out to work on unrelated maters it was noted that there is in fact aluminum running throughout the house, to the the oven and HVAC. I submitted a complaint as instructed by the inspector noting all of this information only to get a rude and condescending call from Scott Lewis informing me that this is normal to have aluminum running to these areas. Even after explaining to him that I specifically asked the inspector and was told no he continued to double down on his unnecessary mansplaining. It is also worth noting that one of the toilets was hooked up to hot water and the inspector failed to note or mention that. Upon moving in and touching the top of the toilet I was able to find this out and I, obviously not an inspector, could tell that something was wrong. Hire a company that actually cares about your house/deal and not this one. read more

Everything he found was minor but he took the time to say why he believed that it was minor and how it could be remedied. If you are a first time homebuyer beware of this company. Uninspected parts of your house will be unclear and vague. Your only notice will be a one line piece of text in a 100+ page document. Visible damage will be missed and you will be blamed for it. If an inspector doesn't inspect the top roof or chimney of your house because or safety reasons its probably worth saying, 'hey I didn't inspect the top roof or chimney, you might want to get that checked out as I was unable to get up there.' when we were going through the report. Instead of putting a one liner in a sea of text. Especially when we come to find out the chimney is completely rotted. Save your money and find a different inspection company. read more
