I would highly recommend Talon Wealth Management to anyone seeking a professional financial planning group who always put the customer first every time! Sincerely, Robert J. Guarnieri

Beware - I strongly advise you to steer clear of this company…read more When my job was being relocated to another state, I decided not to move and began focusing more closely on my IRA. I had already taken a significant loss of about $35,000 during the market downturn in the fall of 2022. Around that time, I heard about Talon from a radio program and decided to give them a try. I met with a local representative, John, who reviewed my numbers and projected a 12-15% return on my investments. I decided to move forward and invested $228,000 with them in October 2022. What I wasn't told--and what I later learned--was that I could have simply left my existing investments in place and had Talon take over as the manager. Instead, all of my prior investments were liquidated, and everything was restarted from scratch. In 2023, my portfolio returned just 4%, after fees. I had been told their fee would be 1% annually, but I frequently raised concerns throughout the year because half of my money was just sitting idle in a money market fund. By the second year, I was still dissatisfied. I raised my concerns again in the fall, which led to some adjustments--but 2024's return dropped to just 2.6%. I then discovered I was actually being charged 2% per year in fees--not the 1% I was originally told. When I brought this up, they wanted to schedule a meeting to "look into it." At that point, I had already made up my mind to leave. I genuinely believe my account wasn't large enough for them to care about managing it properly.

Terrible experience with Carpenter Morse Group. I met with these folks at the recommendation of my…read morefinancial advisers, whom I trusted. The first question I asked, which I made very clear, was if their 401k plan integrated with my payroll provider. I was assured that they did, as they were the largest 401k provider and blah blah blah. Relying on this assurance, we signed up and our team spent a number of hours trying to get everything set up. Only later on did they tell me that no, they do not integrate with my payroll provider and I would have to manually enter all the 401k information in every payroll. I decided to go with a provider who actually integrated with my payroll provider--as I made this clear was my #1 requirement. I was a little irked that they wasted my team's valuable time, but I let it go. Things happen. Many months later, the owner of this company sent me invoices for building a plan. I reminded him that my agreement was predicated on integrating with my payroll provider. He became very rude and now wants to charge me for wasting my time. If they they had told me in the first place that they did not integrate with my payroll provider, then nobody's time would have been wasted. It's as simple as that. I cannot believe they have the audacity to come after us when it was their mistake that caused us to be here in the first place. I wish I could get all of my team's time back working on something that they knew or should have known would never work out... but I cannot. They want us to pay for their mistakes. Poor customer service!
