The first question I asked, which I made very clear, was if their 401k plan integrated with my payroll provider. I was assured that they did, as they were the largest 401k provider and blah blah blah. Relying on this assurance, we signed up and our team spent a number of hours trying to get everything set up. Only later on did they tell me that no, they do not integrate with my payroll provider and I would have to manually enter all the 401k information in every payroll. I decided to go with a provider who actually integrated with my payroll provider--as I made this clear was my #1 requirement. I was a little irked that they wasted my team's valuable time, but I let it go. Things happen. Many months later, the owner of this company sent me invoices for building a plan. I reminded him that my agreement was predicated on integrating with my payroll provider. He became very rude and now wants to charge me for wasting my time. If they they had told me in the first place that they did not integrate with my payroll provider, then nobody's time would have been wasted. It's as simple as that. I cannot believe they have the audacity to come after us when it was their mistake that caused us to be here in the first place. I wish I could get all of my team's time back working on something that they knew or should have known would never work out... but I cannot. They want us to pay for their mistakes. Poor customer service!

    I've met the CEO of this company several times and after a negative experience with another…read moreSelf-Directed Investment Custodian company, I decided to transfer our accounts to Nuview. Disappointingly, Nuview relies heavily on automation and consistently makes errors charging their annual fees. When this happens, Nuview DEDUCTS the fees from the custodial account! ("Early withdrawal" would be triggered, creating tax penalties and obligations!) Every time this happened (over years!) I had to contact Customer Service and explain that they need to deposit the fees back into our accounts and charge the credit card of record. For. Years. In addition, their software does not update related fields so the client (!) has to ensure posting any information changes in every related portal page for EACH ACCOUNT. Example: Change of address? Do it online for each account. Also do it for each account's related credit card information. ARRRRRRRGGGHHHH!!! Also frustratingly, they are located in Florida and do not have extended hours to serve clients in other time zones. The most painful error of all is that Nuview does not serve their customers by optimizing fees. We could've saved a lot of money in fees had Nuview been more service oriented and not left this important management task solely to the clients. Nuview collects greater fees this way but continues to frustrate clients. Time to go custodian shopping....
