Beware - I strongly advise you to steer clear of this company. When my job was being relocated to another state, I decided not to move and began focusing more closely on my IRA. I had already taken a significant loss of about $35,000 during the market downturn in the fall of 2022. Around that time, I heard about Talon from a radio program and decided to give them a try. I met with a local representative, John, who reviewed my numbers and projected a 12-15% return on my investments. I decided to move forward and invested $228,000 with them in October 2022. What I wasn't told--and what I later learned--was that I could have simply left my existing investments in place and had Talon take over as the manager. Instead, all of my prior investments were liquidated, and everything was restarted from scratch. In 2023, my portfolio returned just 4%, after fees. I had been told their fee would be 1% annually, but I frequently raised concerns throughout the year because half of my money was just sitting idle in a money market fund. By the second year, I was still dissatisfied. I raised my concerns again in the fall, which led to some adjustments--but 2024's return dropped to just 2.6%. I then discovered I was actually being charged 2% per year in fees--not the 1% I was originally told. When I brought this up, they wanted to schedule a meeting to "look into it." At that point, I had already made up my mind to leave. I genuinely believe my account wasn't large enough for them to care about managing it properly. read more

I am dissappointed because Talon Wealth Management did not isclosed their Rate of Return on their website. If they have confidence managing clients' valuable money, they should disclose their long term investment Rate of Return. Who can believe their promising words if they do not disclose their long term performances? I do not believe in any words of Talon Wealth Management without the proofs. If they have an excellent performance, they would have bragged on their website. I see so many complaints of poor performances from their clients on Yelp. read more

Very nice people, but very poor performance. My family had multiple accounts with Talon for three years. Over the three-year period, the S&P went up 36% and the DOW went up 30%. Sadly, our accounts (with different investment strategies i.e. levels of risk) went down 5% or more. By comparison, my 401Ks -- that were not managed by Talon -- went up 23.5% and 11.7% over the same period. All Talon could counter with was, "We are disappointed with our performance too. Perhaps, we were too conservative in our strategy." I could have done much better with a CD -- no risk and no management fees, AND I would have been positive, not negative. read more

Unfortunately I'm forced to write this review. Was excited to join up with Talon as i listen to his radio program regulary. Join up in early 2022 and was put in great funds but as we all know markets take turns and that's the way it goes. i was down about 6 grand which didn't upset me as i know how the market works, BUT this where it gets strange.they sold all my positions so my loss now was not paper it was real. i WAS NOT INFORMED so i called my advisor and was told this was for tax reporting as it was November. i was fine with that but as time went on THERE WAS ZERO ACTIVE MANAGGEMEN and i was in a money market fund for 7 months as my 401k gained 8% I was fed up and asked for 6 months of fees back not 9 and was told i didn't qualify. so i closed my accounts at a loss...mostly from fees. i understand loss but not doing your job you were hired for....not acceptable read more

Talon Wealth says "active management". All they did was sell and buy back the same stock. Was earning less than 4% with their fees. They said, in commercials, that if you weren't satisfied you could get your fees back. Well, I was a client for over a year and didn't even get half my fees back. I listened to the "Talon Guarding your nest egg" for years, and needed desperately to get my money working for me instead of just sitting there gaining very little interest. So I fell for their 'biden plan" And when Sean Hannity highly recommended them, I went for the free consultation. We were So impressed with them. So we gathered all our accounts together & pulled the trigger. There was a few ups & downs, but now after a year, they are not guarding our nest egg, just eating away at it. SO VERY DISAPPOINTED. Like others have commented, our experience was pretty miserable. After 2 years with Talon, they made as much money off of our money as we made off of our money. When we questioned the performance of our accounts, the first response we got from our advisor ( a term I use loosely) was that if we "aren't happy, then we can find another company." No kidding, that was the response. The response went over like a lead balloon as you can imagine. At that point I asked to have my "Fees" refunded. My advisor said he'd have to ask Mike. Seven weeks later, yes, seven weeks, I connected my advisor to follow up on the refund. A week later he told me it was approved by Mike. Then Weeks later I was told that they legally could not refund my money We moved our accounts. #Miserable Do not recommend. read more

Talon Wealth have nice folks, quick to respond and genuinely want to see your success in investment. In the early Trump economy, we knew things would take off and I wanted to maximize the growth. My result was a loss after 1 year in Talon's managed Fidelity Funds. The Talon projections presented to me clearly likely to outperform my 401k but did not. My Talon Management investment lost 3.7% compared to the remaining 401K funds growth of 25.7%. The opportunity lost, while unique to me, was hard to accept. I sent everything back to my 401K, While happy again, big growth opportunities permanently lost. Not blaming Talon Wealth as the decisions were mine. They are a fine firm to talk to. After 3 years of investing with Talon Wealth we have moved our portfolio. They were not attentive as described on the radio show. I still enjoy the radio show, it reinforces what we all should be doing. We never did get a comprehensive retirement plan. We paid ~25% of gains made to Talon Wealth in commissions / fees. I listened to Mike Lester on the Radio, and he made Talon Wealth Management sound like it would legitimately sit down with you and provide a holistic review of your financial plan and not try to push their products. When I showed up to the initial meeting in Palm Coast, the rep was totally unprepared for the meeting though I completed their questionaire online the week before. In fact, he did not even know how to access the file. Upon sitting down with the rep, I could easily tell that he had little true grasp of financial planning and was simply pushing their mutual funds. Frankly, while the radio show touts professional financial planning, the reality is that they are amateurs. I can easily obtain better returns without Talon Wealth Management and that is why I retired young with zero debt and financially independent. read more

I was treated poorly and rudely..... I had an appointment with Steve. I arrived on time. Was made to wait with no one acknowledging me. The Receptionist arrived after 15m and said she would tell him I was there. She went into the back, returned and said "he knows your here." That was the only person and time my presence was acknowledged. After over 30 minutes (about 40) I departed. No one called me to ask what happened or to apologize. There was no offer by the receptionist to see someone else. Basically I was treated like I did not matter. I took off from work three hours to be there and I felt like this was of no consequence to them. I felt that this is also how I will be treated always because I am only a small inventor. This is my experience, so maybe I just caught them on a bad day, but I was treated poorly. read more
