The Wax Lounge is as sanitary as it gets! I was so impressed. All of the areas a guest would touch can be wiped town or disposed of (think disposable underwear, paper sheets). There are no towels or blankets which can keep bacteria. Tania is also very professional! She took her time and understood how painful it is for me (red heads feel more pain, it's science!). I waited less than 10 minutes upon arriving, and then they started with my pedicure. The technician helping me recommend a particular shade of red (I requested red to match the dress I planned to wear for the wedding) and did a great job! The only bad thing was that I had requested the classic pedicure (the most basic one, $32) with regular polish, and they ended up doing gel (+$15). By the time I realized, it was already too late. Nevertheless, it looked good, so I didn't mind. I had someone else do my dip manicure, and they also did a good job. They shaped my nails into almond just as I asked (+$5) and also cleaned my cuticles (+$5). I went for a simple, clean look to accentuate my natural nail. All in all, the dip manicure was $60. I found the prices to be reasonable, and I felt that the technicians did a thorough job. The only reason why I am knocking off a star is for a slight lack of communication regarding what kind of polish to use, as well as for the lack of decor/aesthetic in the salon. A few of the pedicure chairs had seen better days -- they were ripped up and showed obvious signs of extreme wear-and-tear. It was definitely not the most aesthetically pleasing place I have been to, but they did a good job, so I would still recommend it to others!

I had an angular lob that had grown out, so all I wanted was a trim in order to even out the ends and bring the length up to touch my shoulders. I told Carol that I had existing layers, but I didn't want the layers to go too high on my head because I wear my hair naturally curly. I even showed her a picture of what I wanted. I ended up with a mullet with one side longer than the other. Carol kept saying my thick hair needed to be thinned out, so she created 2 inch layers that encircled my entire head. I cannot even side part my hair because the layers are so short and they stick straight up when I try to do that. I would think that creating short layers makes thick, curly hair appear thicker, so I don't know why she did that. I went back and had it fixed by Kathy, who was absolutely wonderful. I do not recommend Carol for curly or thick hair. She just graduated from hair school and needs more training. I feel she should have declined to cut my hair if she didn't know how to cut curly hair. I'm still rating the salon as 4 stars because I had a great experience in the past with Michelle and Kathy did an amazing job making Carol's work into an actual bob

Melissa is impersonal, unfriendly and makes no effort to understand that, while one client may do well with a certain type of eyelash glue, others may not. My lash extensions barely looked good for a week, and I would go back and pay more money to have more lashes applied. My text requests were perceived as harassment, yet she couldn't manage to get an online appt booking system to work. She never made any effort to try different adhesive and just blamed my aftercare for the lashes falling off. She isn't interested in working with individuals to find alternatives. Before starting, Michelle asked me when my last facial was and what my main concerns were. It started as any facial where Michelle washed my face, neck, and upper chest. Then she did the hydroderm, which was a tad different feeling than normal hydroderms, but in a good way. Then she did some other treatments and also extracted my face. After putting on some gel onto my face, she did the RF treatment, which is supposed to tighten my skin. It was warm, but not uncomfortably warm. After removing the gel and cleaning my face, Michelle put a hydrojelly mask on my face, which is supposed to even my skin tone. She warned me that it would go over my eyes and mouth. While the mask dried, Michelle massaged my neck, arms, and hands. Before peeling the mask off, Michelle rubbed ice globes over it. The cold feeling was so awesome!! This facial took 2 hours and now I'm hooked. I have my next appointment scheduled in Jan 2022!!
