The staff are lovely, I would actually love to work there or even design underwear for them. The underwear is great quality, you'll find everything in this store, from sexy to girly bras and knickers, to silky nightwear, or even those beautiful soft pijamas. When I am in the store I turn into Rebecca Bloomswood from Confessions of a Shopaholic, my heart (almost) melts. Also, the layout of the shop is brilliant. I love the fact you can just open up little drawers and find your own size, or just get the assistant to do it for you, if you're that lazy. The changing room I am usually in had an old fashioned telephone, which you can use if you would like any assistance. You can also change the light by yourself. It's genious.

I just fit in at the small end of Bravissimo's scale, being fairly slim, but with a proportionally large cest (sigh...it's a hard life) so I find some of their bras a bit too extremely controlling for me. During the summer, they do a range of supportive-but-still-cool swimwear, and a small range of clothes for those of us that have that annoying gaping shirt buttons problem. Sorted.

Lingerie shopping has often been a vastly traumatising experience, best avoided until absolutely necessary. And then Bravissimo opened up and the world was a brighter, lacier place! Not only were they able to size me properly and fit me with the first comfortable bra I can remember wearing since puberty, but they actually have a nice and colourful selection! Amazing! Unfortunately once you get to anything above a C-cup, braziers don't come cheap. They start at about £20, but tend to average around £30 - £40. Sad for the budget, but you do pay for quality (gone are the days when Debenhams bras would burst and stab me with underwire). Bravissimo have their own line of lingerie, but also have stock from designers such as Masquerade who make some very pretty bras and knickers. The service level from the ladies in this shop is just amazing. You can make an appointment for a fitting, so you are rarely kept waiting. Even if you just want to be seen to as soon as possible, they always give you waiting times, and there are plenty of comfy seats while you wait. The fitter will ask you what style and colour you're looking for, and will bring back a selection after the initial sizing to try on. It's always reassuring that they bring back more than one size in the different styles, as manufacturers seem to differ in their measurements. Additionally, the fitters really put you at ease, and always ask if you want them to leave the room while you change bra. Some other places can leave you feeling a wee bit awkward. I've been frequenting this shop since it opened, and with this level of service and good selection, it's unsurprising that they'll continue to see me come through their doors (hopefully) for years to come. If you've ever had trouble with your undergarments, these ladies can sort you out!

There's alot of cool gear in here though, including cool hats and some really funky backpacks. I almost bought one, but decided against it when I mentally calculated how much money I have spent this week (lots). The staff didn't get in my face which was cool for an outdoors sort of store, where I have been hounded before in Tiso for e.g. A nice shop, with lots of good stock for guys and gals.

Quicksilver at Buchanan Galleries is the only store of its kind in Glasgow…read more I personally love it. Although it can be quite pricey, they have lovely outdoor wear, ski and snowboard gear, bikinis and summer wear, luggage, and accessories. They stock Quicksilver and Roxy girls clothing, as well as Tony Hawk branded gear. It's a small store, but packed full of cute summer clothes and beautiful luggage. It's a shop I frequent more to covet items in than to actually shop at, but for that much, it's worth it to me. The staff are lovely and helpful, and if you're looking for something specific will probably prove to be very knowledgeable. I haven't come in here shopping for snowboarding gear, but I did have a conversation with one of the staff and they knew what they were talking about. Personally I love the luggage, sunglasses, and summer clothing ranges they stock here. It's like going on holiday without the hassle of travelling; even if you are just in the Buchanan Galleries to hide from the inclement weather conditions. Love it.

If I'm visiting friends abroad it always comes in handy if I've completely forgotten to get them something and as they have such a great selection of accessories it's not too hard to find something to suit different tastes. I guess it's also good for the company to have a shop strategically places in an Airport so forgetful travellers can pop in here if they've forgotten something. When I went to Germany last Christmas I realised I'd forgotten my hat and as I where I was staying wasn't exactly shopping heaven so I decided my best bet was to get a hat from Accessorize, I found a really pretty knitted hat but had to part with £25 for it which I thought was rather steep. It is a nice hat though. Overall, a handy branch of Accessorize to buy a last minute gift or if you've forgotten to take something on holiday with you.

Received an email on the Friday and refund stating that due to an error they had no stock to send. A bit late to find this out on the Friday as they must have known before then if they were planning on delivering them to me on the Friday. Had they informed me earlier I could have gone elsewhere. I wrote to this company stating my disatisfaction but to date have received no answer. My advise to others is to go elsewhere from the start.

I am a big Matalan fan but it is only in past couple of years that I have had the confidence to openly admit it to my peers, now when they say, "Nice dress Lisa," I proudly reply, "A tenner from Matalan, get in!" The store at the Phoenix always has gorgeous little dresses, shoes and bags, usually for under £20. Of course they are never made of the best materials but I still find the quality to be much better than rival store Primark. It is also a good thing if you're buying clothes and things for going on holiday and you know they are going to end up covered in sand and booze and allsorts so you don't want to spend a lot of money on them anyway. I absolutely love Matalan's "Cozy Up" range of night wear. I bought a fluffy white dressing gown with pink hearts on months ago and it has been washed umpteen times but is still as fluffy and cozy as when I first bought it. The lingerie is really pretty too. Unfortunately they don't sell my bra size but I like the packs of 5 ladies boxers, very cute. When I first moved out of my parent's home I bought a lot of my home ware from this Matalan store, basic things like towels and a laundry basket. There are collections by Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, Colin and Justin and Linda Barker. I can't stand Linda Barker but unfortunately I love her range of kitsch crockery! There is also a collection by Martine McCutcheon which I find more than a little bit random! My favorite section of this Matalan store is the M Party section. This section has everything you need to throw the perfect party. There is a multitude of different invitations, decorations, party games and fancy dress costumes. You could spend an hour just in this department alone!

The fit of the dress was perfect, flattering, exactly what I wanted and I felt amazing. Her prices are so reasonable for the service she provides and the end result. Miss Lottie Lou also stocks lots of lovely accessories, jewellery and gifts in a lovely 40s/50s setting. I have since been back for more made to measure clothing...be warned, it is very addictive!

Childish I know...but back in the days of said GH I was often in here buying and selling clothes (this was the days before eBay kids) which was a brilliant idea. I'm not 100% sure they still do that now, but because of eBay (other auction sites are available) I very much doubt they still offer this service. Not a vintage shop as such, more a nearly new shop as I would guess 90% of their stock is (very) new/modern items & a lot appearing to be hardly worn. So I guess I would describe this as a sort of 'vintage' shop for folk that don't like retro styles. You'll find high street & fashion labels such as Top Shop, ASOS, River Island and others as well as the odd Karen Millen & more high end/designer items too. Everything is laid out very well & there's lots of space to wander & browse, it's also got great lighting too which is something some other vintage/2nd hand shops seem to lack. As well as clothes they sell shoes/boots, bags, belts & some jewellery too. Everything is a pretty reasonable price, especially considering the condition of the items. You can pick up some real bargains here if you can be bothered searching (Me = always!). Last time I was in I found 2 dresses I really liked but didn't have enough cash on me to pay for them (Note: they don't take cards here) so they nice lady serving said she would put them aside whilst I went in search of a cash machine (there's plenty on nearby Byres road) and when I returned she very kindly rounded down the price of the 2 dresses saving me a couple of quid! Such a lovely gesture. The staff here have always been super nice & friendly which is always a wee bonus. It's service like that that keeps folk coming back. For trying on clothes they have one small changing area which is better than nowt but can be a pain when the shop's busy, but good things come to those who wait...supposedly! It might be off the beaten (Ruthvern Lane) track but this wee hidden gem is well worth a swatch. Another example of a fantastic wee local Glasgow business.

Glorious has always been one of my very first stops when shopping in the West End for as long as I…read morecan remember. In fact, from way back when it was known as The Glory Hole. (I actually prefer the risque name!) The problem with Glorious is that that I NEVER leave without purchasing anything, and that's no exaggeration. If I can limit myself to a fortnightly visit and a maximum of two items purchased I'm doing well. The stock is always carefully selected- lots of on trend pieces, lots of items you missed out on first time round from the High Street, and a nice little smattering of vintage. There's also always a great selection of handbags. I think the prices are extremely competitive too. Its always possible to get two of three items for under £20 but equally you might spot a really special designer piece and pay a bit more for it but still get a bargain. The owners and staff are lovely and always enthusiastic about offering an opinion if needed. They all seem to take great pride in Glorious and subsequently all items for sale are of the highest quality; washed, pressed and ready to be worn. Often this can be a rarity from a secondhand store. Cant recommend this place enough and looking forward to my next pay day!
