This one is right in the middle of Clarkston, right next to the ice-cream shop and the primary school it just sticks out like a sore thumb and seems really inappropriately placed. The last thing you want is to bump into your neighbour walking his dog while you step out with a pair of suspenders. The changing rooms are a little small but they are tucked in so that no-one ever need see you trying on your bra. Some of the bras are very pricey but the others are the same as buying in Debenhams, with a much better service. If they don't have your size they will order in for you. Once being fitted (and they suggest a quick check before buying any bra) you are shown a selection of styles and prices, and never forced into buying the dear ones!! Highly recommend for a decent fitting- it makes all the difference.

I was extremely well looked after from the minute I arrived, and the salon room was clean, well decorated and very relaxing! Now, I will not go into details about the actual treatment (there are some aspects of girly grooming that really need to remain a secret!) but the hot wax felt strangely nice, and while it wasn't entirely pain-less, it was certainly nicer than my past waxing experiences! After my treatment I was given after-care advice, and they followed up with an e-mail to make sure I knew what I was doing. I liked it so much I booked my return visit on the spot! In addition to the pampering side, the Boutique also has a wonderful lingerie/swimwear shop, and carries a range of very beautifully designed 'toys' which would look more at home on a stylish coffee table, than in the bottom drawer of you bedside table! I must add my sales associate was very nice and I did not sense any unwarranted pressure to buy more. I was debating on which of my two favourite sets to buy and she told me the most practical solution, which I appreciated. They do a good range of teas, coffees and sandwiches which you can enjoy before heading off for round two. They sell themselves as "corset specialists", and by that it's not the kind of explicitly sexual lingerie that turns up in sex shops, or the gregarious Whiplash Trash. The corsets they sell in here are a bit more tasteful, and with their sexy but delicate lace up backs they are sizzling. They do free sizing sessions in here to see what corset would exactly suit your figure. Whether you go for bold reds and blacks to pastel colours suited for weddings and soft, girly outfits, they are a surefire winner. Prices start at around £90 which I would say is very reasonable for such quality garments.

Inside, Boudoir is absolutely packed full of lingerie, hosiery and nightwear. Everywhere you turn you will be greeted by bulging racks and shelves. And you know what? They actually have some nice stuff. Plus, the owner was really friendly and helpful. Yes, the focus is definitely on the plainer undies, with all sorts of basic bras on sale from just £4.99. They also have a large selection of very big pants, if you're thinking about doing it Bridget Jones style! They do have a couple of really pretty pieces though, so it's definitely worth having a bit of a hunt round if you're after something a little fancier. They have lots of nightwear, including some really nice cosy dressing gowns (yes, I did fancy one myself). You'll also find stockings, socks and tights.

Bravado is such a fabulous lingerie and underwear store…read more It is situated on the busy and bustling Morningside Road in Edinburgh and so it is very easy to reach it as it is close to the city centre. They specialise in ladies underwear and they offer a huge selection of different sizes, styles and shapes of lingerie. Bravado also sells swimwear, nightwear and dressing gowns. The staff in the store are incredibly warm, inviting and highly knowledgeable about their stock. Bravado do bra fittings which are very accurate and the staff are happy to recommend which styles of shapes of underwear they think would suit your shape best. Bravado also sell maternity swimwear and underwear, as well as specially made mastectomy bras which can be very hard to come by. The range of underwear which Bravado stocks is quite amazing and it is all very reasonably priced considering how specially made all the items. Bravado is definitely the place I go to for fantastic fitting underwear and nightwear - I cannot recommend it more highly. GO!
