This is our move-in review, and when the time comes, I'll definitely share a move-out review as well. So far, we're genuinely impressed. We've been extremely happy with every interaction we've had with the team. From our first tour, Josh set the bar high. He was patient, knowledgeable, and thorough. I tend to ask a lot of questions, and not once did I feel rushed. My spouse especially appreciated how engaged and detail-oriented he was in walking us through the building. From that initial tour to move-in day, every team member we encountered was attentive and informative. What stood out the most was the level of organization and structure in place for the move-in process. It made everything smooth and stress-free. We've previously rented with Greystar, and this has truly been an upgrade. The amenities here are top tier, and Josh made sure we were familiar with everything the building has to offer. We really appreciated that, because with a building this large, it's easy to go months without realizing what's available if no one takes the time to show you. Between the personal tour and the maps provided, they made sure we were fully set up from day one. The welcome package was a great surprise a cooler backpack filled with move-in essentials and a folder of helpful information. That level of thoughtfulness was a first for us. The environment here is also very entrepreneur friendly. There are plenty of workspaces, fast Wi-Fi, complimentary coffee and tea, and everything has been consistently clean. So far, I have no complaints. Any time there's a question or concern, the team responds quickly with a solution. It's also pet friendly and located in a great neighborhood. We're looking forward to our time here and will be sure to follow up with a move-out review down the road.

She is a great manager and I hope she stays there for awhile. Chelsea reset the rules and made sure the building was secure. I would recommend anyone who needs a short term place to live in Towson. 6/23: I have lived in the Winthrop since three months opened. I have watched the building grow from not having anybody here to fully filled. I do love this building, but we have had a few issues. Management is always responsive and kind, but the problem is, there's not enough staff. They promised when they opened that they would get a doorman 24/7. They have not. There is a desk that is not used. Things get hectic on the weekends. I've seen children unsupervised in the common areas - which is NOT allowed (and written in the lease contract). Three children were downstairs one night at 11:30 pm. They were around the age of 8 and two boys were throwing rocks in the fountain. I was seriously afraid they'd break it. I told the leasing office, but they are not here after hours do not much they can do. People prop the front door open and I swear half the people using the amenities aren't living here. They say there's a security guard, but I really don't understand this. There are a lot of noise complaints here, but I won't say anything bad about that. Walls are soundproof. We live on the side of Dulaney. It is loud, but Winthrop walls actually help that! I do love our apartment size. I feel realitively safe here. There has been times though that a homeless guy came to sleep in the lobby. He said he was looking for a place. He wasn't. I was down there the entire time he was there - slept, used the restroom and walked out. That's probably the worst I've seen, but the leasing office was open at the time so I think they would've kicked him out if anything went wrong (safety reasons). I love the amenities but as my husband calls it, there are tragedy of the commons. People leave trash in the halls on the weekends. I'm afraid of bugs/rodents coming. We did have an ant issue but it was resolved. The good thing is in the common areas, they clean it every day. The cleaning staff is friendly too and they always say hi. We have had a few appliances break. We contacted the leasing office and they were replaced the next business day (although I did freak out when we almost had a flood from our washer breaking in the middle of the night but my husband dealt with the water). It's expensive here, but you get what you pay for - you pay for the area. You won't find a place much cheaper and I do love the staff here. Even when staff is replaced, they're always nice. I just wish they hired more staff (i.e. Doorman/security staff). I would recommend this building, but not long term. Maybe for a year or two until you plan on buying a house (which we will be buying when we move out). It's a lovely area and close to shopping! I can walk to work which is why we moved here. If you're looking for short time convenience, it's a great community!

The leasing consultants and property managers provide excellent customer service. By far the best I've seen with apartment complexes. Maintenance has always been quick to fix any problems. Unlike most apartments in the Mount Vernon area, 520 Park has surface and garage parking available to its residents.

I would hate for the next person to be shortened out of their hard earned money the way I was, so my review is solely to bring awareness to those after me. Throughout my process there was a complete lack of empathy, common courtesy, and ethical practice. I'll begin by saying the holding/ reservation fee is a compete scam. They will stall and take your money. Using their leasing agents at the forefront, they will systematically avoiding routine application updates for 2 weeks just to keep your money (keep in mind during the two weeks they close early on Saturday , they're closed on Sunday, and barely even answer the phone). First, they'll begin by telling you that they are still "processing" your application. When you apply they provide you with this misconception that the fee you're paying is a holding deposit that reserves your unit, and goes toward your first month's rent - NO. It is indeed going into their pockets. This will be right before they cease all communication, and put the unit you paid to reserve back on their marketing website as "available for rent." Once that two week time frame expires, they'll re-open the unit you reserved to new applicants. This rinse & repeat method is an ongoing cycle they use to bring in revenue to mitigate their losses. It's unfortunate that this egregious "business" they are operating will go the mile of using scandalous and ambiguous tactics just to keep the lights on in the building.

They have allowed items such as money and jewelry to go missing and when the management office was notified why swept it under the rug. You would think that paying $2100 a month for rent and an additional fee for secure parking that my vehicle wouldn't have been broken into twice. And get this, amazingly the only cars that were broken into were those parked out of view of the security cameras, which kind you only the management office has access to. To add insult to injury, the new young lady in the office failed to report the incident to upper management on both occasions, failed to provide me with what the policy is on what needs to occur such as an incident report, reporting to my auto or renters insurance. She also failed to notify or make note that I would NOT be renewing my lease and they attempted to lock me into another 15 months lease. I feel so unsafe, the feeling of maybe pulling into the secure garage and be robbed or raped or even assaulted. Due to managements inability to keep their good paying residents safe and secure. Your hime is where you should feel safe and I do not. They haven't even notified the other residents in the building that there have been cars broken into and windows busted. Please look elsewhere for comfortable living.. because this is not it.

Fast forward to the move in date....I helped her move into her apartment and notice some things that changed my mind about moving to this complex: Pros: 1-Neighborhood is nice 2- Quiet neighborhood 3- Gated community Cons: 1-Never enough parking. She's looking for parking as I'm typing this review! 2-Maintenance is very subpar and unresponsive. She called about all these issues....no response from maintenance. 3- Screws were EVERYWHERE on the grey carpet. My nephew and I kept stepping on them. We picked up at least 10 of them the first night. The next day my cousin found more screws on the floor. 4-One of the doors is broke. 5-One of the light plates is missing. 6- Maintenance left their supply box, broom, and dust pan in the unit. 3 days later it's still in her unit! 7- And, to top it off....a foul smell was coming from behind the stove. My uncle moved the stove and found 2 dead mice!!! She called maintenance and again...they were unresponsive. She hasn't been there a week and has all these issues. I have definitely changed my mind about moving to this complex! No thanks! I will look at complexes in Owings Mills or Columbia.
