I recently tried this app called TooGoodToGo for the first time and wasn't quite sure what to expect in terms of food quality. I received (a surprise bag) what I believe was the Picanha steak, Pork belly burnt ends, served with a cheese rice mixed in with shrimp, and Plantains. While the plantains were delicious, unfortunately, the steak and pork belly burnt ends seemed to be overcooked or left out for too long, lacking freshness and flavor. The cheese rice with shrimp had a unique taste, not bad but also lacking in flavor. On the bright side, I found the Cashew drink, which I had never tried before, to be uniquely tasty, not overly sweet, and quite enjoyable overall. Considering the quantity of food and the drink, the $10 price tag seemed fair to me. I also appreciated the kindness of the gentleman who gave me the food (as we had a very nice conversation) and the interesting items available at the market. I'm willing to give it another try during normal hours to experience fresher food before making a final judgment. So, I've awarded it 4 stars with the intention of revisiting for a fair chance. read more

Theres parking right outside as this is also located at a small Mall strip area. As we came in we could see that the place was like a small supermarket with butter and all catering various Brazilian products and foo items. After seeing the market at the same space we could observe tables and a buffet style food line. The way it works here is, you get your plate and serve yourself, once you get to the register you will weight your meal and get your drink, pay at the end a the register. They had BBQ and they also had chicken hearts, they seem to be the only place around the area that serves that item in their BBQ menu, so if you are interested to try, here is your chance. The food here as the best in the region in our opinion, for sure. A little more expensive since food by the weight is more expensive than getting the meal on a. prefix buffet style but totally worth it. THEY DO NOT HONOR THE CHECK IN DISCOUNT. so this is the biggest negative here for me, I checked in on yelp and the employees didn't seem to be familiar with it and decided not to honor the yelp promo without even calling a manager. The food is good, but the employees need more training on the social media aspect as that can make or break a business. read more

I don't know what took me so long to write a review for this place but I LOVE IT! The store is located off of Kirkman near Valencia College & Metro West. It's a little hard to find, but if you see Own It Now, then this place is right next door. Everyone is so nice and there is ample seating inside. Part of it is a bakery/butcher/restaurant, and they do a pretty neat job with the space. I typically come here for lunch as they have a self serve buffet type thing going on, where you can get different foods and a plethora of churrasco (BBQ) at a great price. You pay for the food by weight, and that honestly makes you think twice about how much you eat. I always leave here satisfied, but not full. But that's just how you want to feel after eating great food. Food is about 7.99 per pound, and I typical spend about $8 here on food and a drink. Definitely recommend. read more

A little Brazilian store with a great self-served lunch style buffet. I didn't know what to expect about getting lunch from a grocery store. Great selection of meats that are seasoned well and side items tasted great as well! The chicken with wrap bacon was to die for. Also the salads with lemon dressing was delicious. They do charge by the lb. I believe on my reicipt it was .88/lb and also students get a 10% discount and if you check in on Yelp! They are a small market and they are well known for Brazilian food. They have a couple of different options, but the best time to go is between 11:30 and 4:00 when their grill tends to be open. When their grill is open they may have different selections of meats - Picanha, chicken hearts, etc. Their food is surprisingly tasty, the Picanha is super tender and tasty; very full of flavor and compares well to major steakhouses - like Texas de Brazil and Fogo de Chao. They have many wonderful items as well if you're there to shop and are looking for the different flavors of Brazil. They have unique beers and drinks that are imported, personally speaking I love the Guarana that comes from Brazil so I always grab one. Let's talk about food prices - Again reasonable. They are known for selling their hot foods by the pound; between 11:30PM to 4:30PM, their food is $8.99 per pound of sides with meat. If you order ONLY meat? $10.99 per pound - yo that's cheaper than buying a top sirloin steak and cooking it yourself - per pound! If you visit, I one-hundred percent recommend the Picanha! They have a decent amount of options. When you check into yelp there is a 10% off lunch offer. But when you go to pay they say they are no longer accepting it. This is an AMAZING hidden gem of a place! Part grocery and part restaurant, this place may not look like much on the outside, but the food being served inside is delicious. The quality of the meat (skirt steak, chicken hearts, filet, etc) rival what I've eaten at Brazilian steakhouses for a fraction of the price. It's buffet style - you line up and select your sides, then tell the server which cuts of meat you want. The types of meat they have available vary depending on the day. The cost of your meal is based on the weight of the food on your plate and you can easily get full for under $20, instead of the $50-75 per head at sit-down steakhouses. The only tricky part is the seating, which is first-come-first-serve. I think there's only enough seating for 30-40ish people so if you have a large group coming, better come ahead of time and stake out some spots. There aren't that many options but enough for you to have the staples - rice, beans, salad, vegetables and protein. The food is quite good and the people are friendly. They sell food by the pound so if you're not careful, it can be a bit expensive. I'm taking 1 star off because it's 2019, the earth is warming, and I can't stand places that still use styrofoam for take-out. Otherwise, it's a casual place to go eat a Brazilian meal. Huge change here! It's been a couple years and this place went from a small food market with a small hot food area to almost full restaurant/cafe. Now for those who may not know, I am Brazilian born and this is food I ate everyday of my life growing up along with European food so I have high expectations. I had the feijoada (bean cooked in pork with the fat and kielbasa), potatoe salad, roasted garlic collard greens to go. The place was pretty full but not ridiculous were it was cramped. So I went through the buffet style line with ease. I got almost a cup of rice and beans and potatoes salad and probably 1/4 of collard greens. It came put almost $10. No drink. I feel it was a little over priced but it was worth since I don't get to eat home style food often. The potatoe salad could have been more salted and I didn't care for the peas in there. The rice beans was good, no complaints there and the star of the show was the roasted garlic collard greens and I didn't even grow up on that. I'll definitely be back again and try some other items. A popular Brazilian spot for sure. They have comida a kilo which is food by weight. At the time of writing this, they offer the churrasco (skewered meats) from 10-4. They have a butcher shop and part of the business dedicated to selling Brazilian groceries. There is a fine selection of meats. The also have the typical staple items that you would want including Pao de queijo, farofa, sweets, candies, and other staples that are brought in from Brazil. Most recently I have purchase Itaipava beer that is rarely found in the states. The food is very good. The prices are about 10 dollars for a plate. It is awesome if you are nostalgic about Brazil. This place screams Hidden Gem Galore. A Brazilian Store and a Brazilian Buffet yes people it exists. The buffet Phenomenal, once again let me reiterate that Amazeballs. Fish, Chicken, and Steak you got it! I had the Garlic Steak and the wonderfully seasoned Tilapia, Holy Moly! I am pretty sure I got a glimpse of what heaven would be like. They serve the meat right off the grill and serve it on your plate. The buffet alone has plenty to choose from. I opted for my sides a divine tomato salad, yuca, and garlic bread. This is an alternative to the High end Brazilian Restaurants but for a better price. Oh and after you are done dining you can indulge in a Brazilian shopping experience. The environment is simply wonderful. This place is located in the Metrowest Walmart Shopping Center. This is an interesting buffet and market combination. The buffet works in an ingenious fashion. You take what you like, they weigh it, and give you a number. You can go back, and they will add that weight to your original order. When you finally check out, they simply tally you up by number. Everything on the buffet seemed fresh and authentic. There is a hand carving station for a variety of meat. My favorite items, though, were the roasted pineapple and the fish. Very convenient and quick service. You pay per pound starting at 7.99 up to14.99 if you just want meat. They offer you a selection of cuts and sides. I picked sirloin and sausage. Also, I got potato salad, greens and fried plantains. I enjoyed the sirloin, potato salad and plantains. The sausage was pure pork with little added to it, so the flavor wasn't good and the garlic was burnt, overpowering the greens.
