I highly recommend this. Great experience. Very convenient location, and excellent explanation of the process. It is awesome to take a railroad spike and in an hour walk out with a knife! My dad and my sister and I made knives. The railroad tie was fun to make for myself and my dad while my sister really enjoyed making the horseshoe knife. We had great conversations throughout. My wife and I were here with our daughter about a month ago. Our son is home schooled and needed a field trip this week. Since it's 3 1/2 hours I thought it would be nice for him to make a memory. Upon calling the girl that answered was curt and almost arrogant. I understand being booked up... but to have that attitude with customers? I guess the cash flow is too good at this point to see into the future of tourism in Branson and how it goes to almost nothing at different times of the year. It's a shame we have to cut ties with this business ... we are fairly local... meaning we can get there and home in the same day easily... and with a large family... not to mention over 30 people we have referred... I feel bad saying I hope they feel the "pinch" but hopefully they'll use that as an opportunity to learn that when you have a service that you sell... you NEVER under appreciate your customers. Customers and their referrals are the life blood of any business... my wife and I know a LOT of people and we have referred many already... now we have to share this experience with them. There ARE other options to forge your own knife... had she apologized that they could not accommodate us this week I probably would have rescheduled... but after being shown that this establishment believes we the public are lucky to have them around versus how it should be that they appreciate their customers... I can't part with my money there again and I can't suggest anyone else does either. We had talked about at least 4 more visits there in the next 6 months... with 2 grandsons they cut off YEARS of loyal customers. read more
