Great experience, definitely recommended! EDIT: I forgot to add that they rescue a lot of their horses. They make sure they are rider ready for sure, but this fact alone was worth a lot to me. The fact the experience was awesome regardless was icing on the cake. We booked a jungle ride for 2 at the last minute (a couple of days before) after another local place cancelled our online booking on us. I am so glad that happened, because we had a great time. The owner and her assistant guide were able to accommodate us on a Sunday for a private ride for the two of us. We were perfectly matched based on my more experience with riding, and my husband's very beginner ability. They each talked to us about the surrounding farms we were riding through, and the different plants, trees, animals, etc. around us, and their origins. They were very knowledgeable about all of this, as well as riding. We were even able to pick some fruit from one of the farm's trees (with permission from the farmer of course!) Our guide took a bunch of photos of us as we went (wasn't obtrusive though), and texted them to me right after our ride, ready for facebook upload :-) I always try to unsuccessfully take photos while riding so this was a treat. At the end, the owner's daughter had brought some juice out for us, My husband really doesn't like horseback riding, but he said he loved our ride here and it was one of the highlights of the trip. The owner told me they just bought some additional land that they are hoping to develop into a destination they can ride to and then do luaus with food, entertainment, and drinks, which I thought was such a cool idea! She was hoping to have this done in around a year, so I would definitely be back to check it out. read more

Was booked for an hour and half ride but we went longer just because they had free time after. Our guides Cynthia and Anna were hilarious and knew about all the plants and animals on the trail. The horses were extremely well behaved and easy to ride * especially for a non rider like me!* Would highly recommend for a beginner or advanced. Great ride. read more

Amazing horse back ride jungle experience! Great way to view the lush green side of the Big Island. It really made me happy specially to see how great the living conditions are of the horses at Silver Creat Farms. The staff placement was great one behind and in front of the group. For beginners or experienced is ideal. You can talk and learn all about your horse, the trees, vegetation and more. I was shocked how much they know not just about horses but the terrain we were in. I'm definitely bringing my friends and family any chance I get. read more

This was my girlfriend and my first time horseback riding and we absolutely loved it! Our very friendly tour guide Hope, her horse Blaze, and our horses Marty and Hoku, definitely made the tour one to remember. It was my girlfriend's birthday and we had an amazing time on this jungle tour. The horses had a lot of character and it made the tour much more worthwhile. The horses walked and trotted along the jungle path and we were able to see the horse pastures, the lush island jungle and macadamia nut trees. Marty is kind of a player and he definitely wanted to go check out the female horses in the pastor, but nonetheless he went all the way through (he just need some encouragement from Hope and myself to continue the tour, haha). This experience made me feel like I have ridden horses my whole life.... I have not lol. All in all, my horse Marty is so great and sweet. Hoku, the horse my girlfriend rode, LOVED to snack (just like my girlfriend haha) so the baby girl was walking/trotting meanwhile SNACKING the whole way through (very cute!) It was obviously that these horses were very well trained and maintained, and loved (they had even just got new shoes put in that day!) Hope, our wonderful tour guide, was very informative about all of the neighboring farms, plants, trees, fruits, etc. and made great conversation throughout the tour. We were even able to hang out for a bit after the tour had ended in order to pet and take photos with the horses. It almost felt like we were long time friends and we appreciated that GREATLY. We certainly recommend this tour as well as the tour guide Hope! Big thumbs up, and since we recently moved to Hawaii we will make sure that our first tour with Silver Crest Farms will not be our last. read more

Incredible time!!! At first I was unsure because I have only been on a horse once like 30 years ago. My wife really wanted to go and I went for it. So happy I did! Definitely a highlight of the trip. Cynthia was very knowledgeable and highly skilled. She also knew so much about the jungle. I can't say enough but GO u won't regret it!! read more
