We called and thankfully the owner allowed us to come on a day that they were closed. The farm is super cute and the animals look like they are well taken care of. My daughter was able to pet all of the animals without any issues. The owner is super kind and just in general you can tell they genuinely care about the environment and place. We loved our visit so much, I highly recommend it

My husband and I stumbled upon this farm yesterday morning when leaving Volcano and wow!!!! What a dream! We were shown around by the father and son who make you feel like family. We showed up unexpectedly and they were happy to show us around the farm and introduce us to all of the animals! Definitely call first and make a reservation, I think we got lucky. There was the cutest tea party about to start when we showed up. You must stop at this farm if youre in the volcano area, even if youre not its worth the trip! Great place for kids!

Such a beautiful place! The farm is quaint, intimate and ran with love. Kainoa and his family take wonderful care of all of the animals and land and they deliver a wonderfully unique experience. My son had the best time bonding with the bunnies, turkeys, mini-donkey, cows, goats and pigs. The animals seemed to live in harmony with each other and enjoy interacting with guests - especially since we came with a bag of carrots to share! We truly had a memorable experience and will recommend to others to get a real vibe of what island farm life should be!!!

I can't say enough about this magical little spot. It's been an oasis during a stormy time in the community. The family who runs this place is kind and caring and doing their best to create something beautiful. My children love all the animals. My friends and I love the delicious home baked goods . Danielle makes amazing cakes and scones and bread. A wonderful place for a date, family day, grandparents day, baby shower, birthday .... great for young and old. It really seems to bring everyone together . Mahalo nui for creating such a special place.

We stopped by on a whim because our toddler needed a break from volcano watching... and we are soooo glad we stopped by. The owner Kainoa was extremely kind. This is a family owned farm with many friendly rescue animals. My toddler loved it and it made her trip. Next time, we'll plan to do their tea time! Definitely recommend, especially if you are traveling with little ones!

Ask the Community - The Lili House Farm

Are the rates in the "specialties" section in About This Business still accurate? On the website, I only saw a flat rate for the petting zoo & tea time package, instead of the per person rate advertised on Yelp

One most favorite part of our tour was having the chance to pet and hold the baby piglets, which were just born a few days before we arrived - such a rare precious experience that we will absolutely never forget! The drive up to the farm was also beautiful! The horse trails had magnificent views through the eucalyptus forest and of the ocean. We saw black bamboo, wild bamboo orchids and a lot of tree fruits growing. In the trail, there was fresh guava so we had a chance to sample them, which is great since they are not available in grocery stores. The tour also had fresh, wood-fire pizza for lunch - super yummy! The only thing I may have liked to see is a live demo of the chocolate tour rather than just a verbal explanation of how the process works - we are definitely more a visualist and would've liked a more hands on experience with how to make chocolate.

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience despite great reviews. Not only was the tour guide…read morerunning over an hour late, (we understand things happen) but our "chocolate tour" was a 15 minute discussion with no actual demonstration or sampling by a young gentleman who while very nice, had a strong odor. The barn was quite messy, dirty, (we understand it's a barn) but it was very different compared to other reviewers pictures. There were two men working in a 4 wheeler loudly while we all stood around and waited an hour for our guide. The actual horseback riding was pleasant and nice, it was quite rocky for the horses but beautiful. We had pizza after that was very good, however the tables we ate at were quite dirty, watching him prep with no gloves was also quite surprisingly and we weren't offered any drinks except for the bottle of water we had during the horse back ride. We were informed that they are selling the company and transferring owners so I imagine it has gone downhill BUT they should not be accepting new reservations in the mean time. Especially for the price, comparatively the price is more expensive due to the pizza and chocolate but it is not worth it. Until they fix their environment and seem more organized I would recommend going somewhere else. I reached out to the email twice and have yet to hear back...

As coffee lovers, Heavenly Hawaiian constantly came up in my research and I'm glad we toured for ourselves. The grounds itself are absolutely gorgeous and that view from the hill onto the ocean is unreal! I can't for the life of me remember our tour guides name but she was such a joy and extremely knowledgeable. Learning about the different coffee variants that are grown such as Kona typica, Progeny 502, and the "boujee girl" Geisha was awesome to learn about and see for ourselves. Did I mention endless coffee sampling? Such a relaxing atmosphere to sip all the coffee you want and enjoy that view. And the cutest cats on the property were such a delight mingling with the guests. All staff members were so helpful and they even treated us with a goodie bag of freshly picked fruits from the farm and a bag of peaberry bites (my new favorite) all as a thank you for paying a visit on our honeymoon! Was not expecting that all but such a sweet gesture! I would highly recommend Heavenly Hawaiian farms to anyone if you're on the Big Island or in the Kona area. Absolutely worth the trip up the hill and to feel the aloha from the staff and grounds.

You could tell they run a tight farm by hiring the right people and keeping the property and all the equipment well-maintained. I must admit, I'm not the biggest fan of Kona coffee from what I tried at Heavenly and at other local spots, but for what it is, Heavenly makes a good product. I wish they would have let me take a to-go cup of coffee after the tour, especially after paying for two tickets + $70 of bagged coffee, but they unfortunately limited me to the little sample cups with no lids. That's the only thing keeping this from being a 5-star review.
