I had another chair recovered in velvet at Calico Corners in Wilmette and it does not attract dust and lint at all so it is not necessarily a function of all velvets. You were not nearly as helpful as you sound here on yelp when I had these complaints after the sofa was done. You' were completely unresponsive and refused to assist any further. At minimum, the sofa should've been comfortable and you definitely did mislead me on your product.

Going through here is like going through an eccentric millionaire's mansion, or an Asian cultural center. The works of art and pieces of furniture are often on a large scale- that's be a huge centerpiece of any house. It seems that the owners get to travel the world looking for the coolest, oldest stuff from far flung reaches of the world. I'm astounded that some of this stuff is actually for sale- if you need an old dismantled temple, they've had it already broken down and shipped from exotic destinations. The store is divided up in kinda themed rooms. It's all sort of a jumble of Asian cool stuff. The staff is ready to help. I got a few questions in here and there, but for the most part the staff left me alone to browse. They offer free parking in their small little lot out front. There's a pagoda that they have right out in front. I heard that this building used to be the headquarters for the Encyclopedia Brittanica, but I can't vouch for that. The prices here are all fairly epic. But, this is the exact opposite of Ikea- everything is unique, nothing come packaged in easy to ship boxes.

After my experience with bedkings, I wish I had gone to IKEA instead…read more I bought a bunk bed with an underbed drawer and twin bunkie mattress, but I was delivered a bunk bed that was so coarse that I actually had to sand down parts of it so that my daughters wouldn't scratch themselves! After putting together the bed, I realized that it was missing parts. These parts were the wires and screws that secured the bottom mattress. The twin bunkie mattress that was delivered was also the wrong style. We had ordered a plain white mattress, but they instead shipped a green, boys' soccer themed mattress. Not a huge deal, but what a pain. So the delivery guys forgot to pick up the underbed drawer on top of everything else. After numerous calls and appointments for a week and a half, I finally got the underbed drawer and since they couldn't get the bed parts from the manufacturer, they gave me a bottom bunkie board. I was astonished that the underbed drawer wasn't very deep. I have dresser drawers deeper than it! I even had to sand down these drawers so that nobody would get scratched. I'm happy that I got a bunkie board as a gesture for my troubles, but I'm severely disappointed at the poor worksmanship of the furniture, bad communication with the delivery guys, and overall experience. I wish I had the same positive experience of many of the other people that bought from this place.

While they did deliver the furniture...they did not wrap the furniture or use any kind of mat or carpet to keep from damaging them. The truck these guys used was an old ford ranger that was beat up. The tailgate wouldn't even open. I will not use again.
