The accommodation is mediocre, but the owner is very unfriendly and unhelpful. I would not recommend you stay here.

This place has its own parking in a semi secure area off the main street. The rooms are these little bungalows, some with a garage type area. They've got all the basic needs covered and the room rates are highly competitive.

The clerk wasn't outright rude, but for the first several minutes seemed pretentious, like I wasn't good enough to stay there. He didn't introduce himself or ask my name; I introduced myself and asked his name after check-in, and he warmed up a bit. It felt like I'd caught him doing something wrong or arrived before he was ready. I had to ask multiple questions because he didn't offer information or engage. My customer service was on point--his, not so much. I'd been driving all day and was exhausted, wearing very casual clothes, but he felt very judgey. I asked to see the rooms after reading reviews. The first was rundown and not worth the $150 he quoted. He kept going into the back office between questions, implying he was busy or nearly full (there was only one car outside). When I asked to see the other side of the hotel, which had allegedly been updated, he bragged about being fully booked, though I only ever saw three cars. Odd. The second room was just okay, but I was too tired to find another hotel, so I stayed one night. Few things frustrate me more than visible neglect and lack of detail. There were drywall screw heads popping out, scuffed walls, holes, and water-damaged bathroom drywall from a poorly placed glass shower door--crumbling onto the floor. The floor itself was dirty. The outer entry door was peeling badly, shedding bits of clear coating onto the floor and my hands. The blinds appeared to not have been cleaned in months--which should be done regularly. The bed frame was filthy--dust, debris, bits of wrappers and food. It was clearly dirty, with oils, handprints, and dried liquids (I'll leave that to your imagination). The closet doors, off-white, had visible hand grime. The disinfectant wipes I used were brown - yuck. The lamp was dusty, an outlet near the bed had a broken metal piece stuck inside, and both the bathroom vent and hair dryer were caked with dust. The dryer filter hadn't been cleaned in ages. The countertop above the mini fridge was detaching, the bathroom shelf was decaying, and the shower glass hadn't been cleaned. The creamy drip marks on the wall--hopefully conditioner or soap--remained, and the grout was mold-stained. A simple bleach spray would've fixed it. The shower water pressure was awful, with calcification that needs vinegar soaking. It also leaked from the stem. Meanwhile, the sink had too much pressure. The cleaning staff were wonderful--always offering help. The issues here clearly stem from management, not staff. I realize this isn't a four-star hotel and that my standards are higher than average. Having worked in property management and emergency response, I've been in many homes across all conditions and know what "clean" should look like. I attached photos (which don't even capture all of it) so others can decide for themselves. Public beds and showers should be cleaned frequently so dust, germs, and bugs don't build up. The initial clerk did warm up by the end, and wasn't outright rude, just awkward and pretentious at first. When I checked out, a different man was working. He was extremely pushy, insisting I stay longer despite me saying I had to get back on the road. Then he handed me a clipboard and said it was mandatory to fill out--a sheet listing my name, room number, and space for comments, stacked under previous guests' notes. I told him I'd review the hotel online instead. He insisted I fill in each section, so under "comments" I wrote "review on Yelp." Other than being pushy, he was friendly--but it was an annoying end to a stay that wasn't worth the cost. Not the worst stay I've had, but definitely not one I'd repeat.

This hotel might be a little more pricy, but I guarantee you'll be thing the staff are awesome and will go the extra mile for you! You work hard everyday, splurge on this room, you'll be happy you did!!! The hotel is in remodel mode which can be annoying, but just remember when you come back it will be so worth the experience. The only thing I found an issue with was the pool spa timer was not working! We did everything to try and get it going! Every guest took turns thinking their technique could get it start it! No success! I asked the AI chatbot for help, someone will be with you in 14mins. Needless to say even AI couldn't fix the spa! Seriously!! This is a the place to stay!!

Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City Shows Zero Courtesy to Hilton Diamond Members, Returning Guests,…read moreand Families With Disabilities As a Hilton Diamond member, I am honestly shocked and deeply disappointed by the complete lack of humanity, compassion, and basic courtesy shown by Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City. After years of using Hilton properties, including staying at this hotel in the past, we found ourselves in a difficult situation due to a flight delay. We only needed a very small favor: to hold one bag for about 2 hours so we could take our daughter to Universal CityWalk to buy something before heading to the airport. Instead of showing even the smallest amount of empathy or understanding, we were treated as if helping a family with a disability-related situation was some kind of burden. The assistant to the office manager, Ariel Larios, displayed behavior that honestly felt far below the level of basic human decency and hospitality that anyone would expect from a Hilton property. There was no patience, no compassion, no willingness to help, and no effort whatsoever to understand the situation. The entire interaction felt cold, dismissive, and focused only on extracting money rather than helping people in need for a simple 2-hour request. What made this even more disturbing: * We are Hilton Diamond members * We stayed at this hotel in previous years * We clearly explained the disability-related difficulty * We only needed temporary short-term assistance * There is no clearly disclosed written policy online stating that short-term luggage assistance is unavailable unless you purchase a room Rather than showing courtesy or appreciation for years of loyalty to Hilton, we were effectively pushed into paying around $220 for a full room simply to receive basic luggage assistance for 2 hours. This experience made it feel like Hilton Diamond status means absolutely nothing at this property unless you are actively spending more money that exact moment. Returning customers, families with disabilities, and even basic human kindness appeared completely irrelevant. Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City should be ashamed that a simple request for temporary help turned into such a cold and humiliating experience.

Jason was knowledgeable patient and very sweet . Jason alone gets 5 stars from me and my family. Now onto why I'm giving this place a 1 star review . We went straight to our room and as soon as we opened the doors we were greeted by a bunch of dirty cleaning towels yellow and blue assuming those where left by housekeeping alone , its unsettling to see that due to the fact that it automatically puts a sour thought in my mind and I quickly think this room has not been clean or touched :/ second issue although they do promote/offer free WiFi we unfortunately had trouble logging in to the tv as it kept giving us an error with the router :( Also it's so true about the walls being so THINNNN we had absolutely no sleep as we heard sirens all night and footsteps along the hallway every 20minutes beware you are in a busy street a lot going on. Lastly the following morning we had the fire alarms go off in the hotel and had the firefighters show up at 8 in the morning due to fire alarms going off . We of course took precautions and had to run down four floors of stairs just to go outside, no communication from the staff just a bunch of cold guest outside waiting to see if the ghost was clear..... what a show .. Oh they also loveeeeee pretending like they Care , I got an email asking if I wanted someone to contact me in which I did want a respond (looks like the Assistant to the GM, -Joshua tried) tried but not really succeed it after that ... like I said I'm never booking here again This was our first time booking here as we usually stay at the Hilton right across from universal in studio city . But due to full capacity there we had no choice but to book outside of our comfort zone .We are Hilton Honor member's and we did not enjoy our experience whatsoever.... Unfortunately Never again Hampton In I've learned my lesson .

When we arrived you can tell it's an old motel, the one side walk was covered with trash and homeless people sitting on side walk. When we checked in Friday they gratuitously check in at 1:30 pm. Thank you The room was on the 2nd floor, elevator only. When we walked into the room you can immediately see it's a really old room to look decent, doesn't look like any updates have been done, it seems they do basic repair. They only have plug outlets no usb ports so if you stay there you will need a block for your usb to plug into the wall.. We sat down on the bed to decompress from the 6hr drive. The beds were not comfortable, two of the pillows on each bed was hard as a rock, the room had a jacuzzi in it. The window screen was torn bottom right hand side good thing we were on the 2nd floor. The closet door was hard to close so we didn't use it. They had an armoire so we stored our bags in there. The bathroom had mold residue all over the tiles. They had no iron or iron board, no coffee maker in room however, they did have a small refrigerator. We dropped off our bags, left to enjoy the rest of our day. When we returned late evening we decided to use the jacuzzi the faucet handles were striped could hardly turn the hot or cold water on. On 6/27 before we left for our outing my boyfriend went to the office to let them know about the mold, the handle to the jacuzzi and torn screen. When we came back that evening they tight the handles and the water flow a little better. NoHo art district walking distance, the parking was free and ice machine was downstairs.

The bar and continental breakfast has been closed as stated on the site, for several years now. There is free coffee and juice (water, apple, orange, and cranberry) though in the lobby. Although there are spaces for them, so maybe costs are cut here with less staff. Staff are friendly when you approach them. Parking is private in an underground garage and it's $10. Pretty pricey if you are here for many days, but it is what it is. Wifi is free with room, although it was slow for me so I just used my hotspot. Right now there is construction happening across the street. Other than that, it's a very chill and quiet relaxing spot. Good to be at especially for Universal Studios, under a 20 minute drive during morning rush traffic. I think it's only 2-3 miles away. Location is prime if you want to walk: Several restaurants, shops, and bus/train station is a block or so away. Cons: When checking in it felt like the hotel was left in charge of the owners two teenage sons who were goofing around with each other and weren't really being that professional. When I came back to the lobby later one was just on a couch in the lobby watching TV and ran back to the desk. Other con was water pressure. Would have had a better shower laying under the veggie mister at the grocery store. Last con was some unannounced $200 charge added to the room cost that he said would be refunded. We'll see since they didn't give me a receipt on check out.
