The Sheraton at Universal City is great. I would not call it their flagship by any stretch, but it is a great hotel. It is right near City Walk and Universal Studios. They have a great shuttle service. Don't walk all the way to Universal Studios, you will want to nap before you even get in. It is also a fair walk, but doable with ease to City Walk. The service at the hotel is great. They speak more than one language and are very friendly. I did not enjoy waiting for my room to be ready and I called and told them exactly when we would be there, but once in our room we were very happy. I had called ahead for extra pillows and towels and they were there. The beds are super comfortable. We had a nice view. The room was super clean. Everything we needed was there. We loved their bar and their eatery. The food was great and the bar very comfortable. You will love it.

I was very suprised by how nice this hotel is. First time staying with Sheraton and I loved this property. From check in to check out, everything was good here. As a titanium member I was able to check in early and that was very helpful. We were on the 20th floor and had a great view from the room. The rooms design was modern. Loved the room, very clean and nice. No complaints. The hotel did have a club lounge on site which was a great suprise. Bar and restaurant on site where nice as well. There is a trolly that takes you to universal studios and back so that was pretty neat. Since this hotel is right next to universal studios, there are a lot of families and kids here so just keep that in mind. Overall, beyond pleased with my stay. I will be back again! Thanks Sheraton for the great hospitality, till next time.

We had a travel agent event with the Las Vegas tourism board at the high floor Starview Ballroom which had incredible 360 degree views of the surrounding area. The large room can get loud but it feels very spacious. They had a nice dinner buffet and one thing for sure as my co-workers will agree that the food was delicious. If your parking is not covered expect to pay 60 bucks to park for 3 hours or more.

Overall we liked staying here as it's convenient walking distance to Universal Studios and in a safe part of LA. The hotel is decades old and although the rooms have been updated they seem a bit stuffy inside. Our room was spacious enough with a large bathroom. My wife and youngest son enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Parking is $55 a night and the daily room rate was also expensive. However the exceptional service is the biggest standout with staff everywhere being super friendly and enthusiastic as well as daily room cleaning service.

I spent 12 hours here for LA bachata festival. Overall, i have a good experience. The hotel environment was well maintained. The conference rooms are spacious. Our festival have hundreds of dancers. 3-4 classes occurring at once. Never once that i felt it was too crowded. I dined at the hotel lobby restaurant. My food was decent. Pricing wasnt bad and my waitress was fast and attentive. Lastly, me and my buddy danced til 130am. It was safe and great experience.

The Sheraton at Universal is great. I used to stay at that Hilton next door but this Sheraton is way better. You can walk to city or the Universal Studios park but they have a shuttle that's on a digital map so you're not left wondering when they will arrive. The Club is on the lobby floor where breakfast, snacks and coffee/water/tea is available for status Bonvoy members. AC in the rooms works great. Nice and modern. The Club Lounge was perfect with their fancy coffee machine. Love the food and service. Valet was fast. It was $66 I think to valet vs $58 to self park. Will stay here again.

Front desk check-in was fast and smooth. It was pricey, but if you do the girl math, the same amount of parking at Universal Studios could go towards the parking at the hotel instead. Would recommend anyone who's going to Universal Studios to stay here since the hotels offer free shuttles. The walk was about 15mins since we were hauling our kids lol

Convenience and location but the 2 days Thursday/Friday on their calendar the rates were extremely High compare to the week before and after.Rooms were first sold out then they released rooms 2 days before if you could secure one even not able to book with points. Finally got a room and had a chance to use my CC Free Night Awards okay that was good but then also used my Free Nightly Upgrade award which was granted but got a standard room instead of the DELUXE Upgraded room. Brought this up at front desk and after check out they did not return my unused UPG AWARD. Talked to customer service and still waiting so much for PLATINUM member , has this happened to anyone else? Hotel: Standard double bed room old hotel but nice updated and clean no issues .Club Lounge for platinum members to relax , free wifi , breakfast and snacks , refreshments. Lobby is busy with a bar , they also have a restaurant , coffee spot and grab and go shop to purchase other drinks and food. Shuttle to Universal very convenient specially with children. Self Parking garage $55 overnight stay and yes I would return again if going to Universal Studios Hollywood.

Just a heads up, this post is specifically about the room; the venue itself isn't terrible, and I had really good customer service throughout the facility, from check-in, to the bar, to the coffee shop and so on. Helpful folks, ready to assist. But my cabana-side room was fairly narrow, not well laid out and somewhat dated in decor and fixtures. Some of the bedroom reading lights looked about to fall out, and the room a/c - heat was pretty loud. Also on the building side where I stayed there's a good bit of hum -- the 101 freeway is right there. The gym is solid and fully equipped though and the pool is large (but seasonal). Looks like lots of conference room space too and the coffee shop is ok. Not sure I would stay here again though. Location just doesn't do it for me.

I've stayed here a few times now for my universal trips. This is definitely more of a fun hotel if you are platinum status of Marriott because then you get access to the lounge where they have hors d'oeuvres in the evening and breakfast in the morning. They also have some snacks and refreshments throughout the day if needed. If you have to pay for lounge access though, I'm not sure if it's worth it. This park is very close to Universal. There is a shuttle but you can just walk if you don't mind a slight walk up a hill. Don't forget to take the elevator by the Hilton to save you some of that hilly walk. We usually just walk to the park when we stay here and it's nice to go back and forth and have the option. The hotel is nice, But it can be pricey, so I wouldn't recommend it if you were here for a long time over doing something other than going to Universal. Also remember that if you don't have lounge access, you don't get free breakfast, which is a bummer but there are paid breakfast options on site if you need it. Self parking is also a whopping $55 so if you come here without a car no biggie, but just be prepared that it's more expensive to park here than the actual parks which is wild to me. Overall this is a solid hotel. The bed is comfortable and I do like the lounge amenities. Being close to the park is also very nice. But if the parks aren't your priority, then there are other places you could stay for cheaper.

We had a wonderful stay here! The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful ready to help when needed. The rooms had comfortable beds and the shower was one of the better for a hotel. The rooms had a mini fridge which was great for snacks and drinks. The bar was great and the room service was quick and really tasty. The hotel is a short walk from universal but they also have a shuttle service every 15 minutes to the park which we took advantage of. We will definitely be back!

The Sheraton Universal Hotel is a solid choice if you want to be close to Universal Studios Hollywood without overthinking logistics. The shuttle service is convenient, and while you can walk, that uphill trek will definitely make you feel like you earned your park day. The hotel has a fun old Hollywood glam vibe that feels fitting for the area. The rooms are on the smaller side, but they are well designed, comfortable, and perfectly fine for resting up after a long day out. It's an easy, reliable stay with personality, which I always appreciate.

Stayed here for a quick New Year getaway and got upgraded to a suite which made my stay feel extra special. The suite was spacious and well laid out. It had a bar area with a microwave, two small fridges, and a coffee maker, plus a dining area, living area, and a powder room. The bathroom setup was great. Walk-in closet with vanity table, shower, bathtub, dual sinks. One thing to note is that the bedroom is not separated from the bathroom, which may or may not a preference depending on the guest. The bed was super comfy and I spent most of my time there just resting. While the room does feel a bit outdated, it was still clean, nice, and totally comfortable. Nothing that took away from the experience. Overall, a really pleasant stay, especially with the suite upgrade.

Sheraton Universal Hotel Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Sheraton Universal Hotel

Is there a fridge in all the rooms?

    Not in all

Does the in room coffee maker use the traditional size K-cups? I would like to bring my own if it will fit. Thank you.

No, the coffee makers in the rooms do NOT take Kcups. A little tray holds the coffee bag (similar to a tea bag) and you slide the tray in and out of the coffee maker. I hope this helps!

Do the suites come with club lounge access?

Yes but only if you're a gold member

Is the concierge lounge open for club lounge rooms, Platinum members, etc.?

As of Friday April 8th, 2022, not yet open. I heard the front desk staff say next week.

    Is this hotel pet friendly?

    (1) pet 40 lb max weight per room with $75 USD at check-in with signed wavier. Non-refundable pet…

Do you need to be fully vaccinated to stay here?

they didn't ask questions aboutour vaccine status when we checked in last week.

    Are there EV charging stations?

Yes, I saw several spots on the first level in the hotel's parking garage.

Has anyone ever had concerns about bedbugs at this hotel?

    I doubt it

Does the area it's in feel safe for families?

Yes, we just stayed there last weekend with our two kids and we walked back and forth from the theme park a few times. Was safe and well lit in the evenings.

What is the deal with the pool cabanas?

Has anybody found the decking around the pool slippery and unsafe?

Yes! Both my kids and another fell right in front of me.

The rooms and amenities are all updated however, and if you want to be close to Universal Studios or Studio City in general, this hotel is excellent. They even have a free trolley that runs hourly to/from Universal Studios and a LA bus terminal. Our 3-night stay during Memorial Day was great - comfortable rooms, beds, and friendly service. Rooms had plenty of storage space and charing ports, and wifi is free and fast. They also have an agenda of daily activities like group exercise classes, LA hot dog/taco nights, and classic movies next to the pool. Their main restaurant, Front Yard offers a daily breakfast buffet and ala carte brunch, lunch, and dinner. The only reason for the -1 stars is that their AC is an older, in-wall unit that gets loud when turned on. Outdoor Parking also isn't cheap at $50/night with in/out privileges but that may be typical for the area.

We had 4 people traveling and 4 people were not going to fit into the 1 king room. When we asked to be switched, they offered us a roll in bed, which was the size of a twin bed, would not fit two adults. When we got up to our room, there was hair on the wall between the shower and the toilet, making us feel like it was not cleaned thoroughly. Our electric car was charging on site and we were running back and forth doing things for the wedding, setting up, etc. No one informed us that there would be an additional charge if we were still parked there after our car was done charging. $58 later and when we mentioned that in our review through the hotel, they said they'd comp our food bill, which was 2 drinks and a fruit bowl, probably $20+. This was disappointing to my mom, who went beyond her means to stay on site for the wedding. This was completely disappointing as we were traveling for a wedding that took place on site. 2 of us were luckily able to stay in the luxury suite which was reserved for the groom get ready room (2 nights). If those stars hadn't aligned, we would not have been able to sleep comfortably in our 1 king room. Also, the suite does not have a microwave in it, we had to request one to be brought up, which I found unconventional. My cousin had their wedding here for how much money my aunt spent between the suite, a bride get ready room, and just the general costs of a wedding, it was disappointing to hear she had a difficult experience here as well. She mentioned that they pulled her away from her son's wedding reception to place her credit card down for incidentals. Why hadn't that happened beforehand? They had her card on file already between all the rooms she booked, so the fact that they took her away from this once in a lifetime experience is ridiculous. She also mentioned that they asked not only for her card info but for her ID. She told them she was not going out of her way to find that when she didn't have it on hand and they were in the middle of celebrating. Needless to say, it was an unfortunate experience this time around. I've been here before and didn't experience the lack of professionalism we experienced this time. The valet service and the staff that supports with luggage were very helpful and kind. It saddens me to have to write such a poor review for such a beautiful place. I have recommended this place to people in the past for general lodging. However, for weddings or any big event, this is not the best of places to host.

The Enchanted Manor was the first place we looked at and we both felt that it was the right fit. Georgia has created a little oasis in her back yard that we felt fit our vibe - lowkey, but classy. We had booked originally for approximately 60 guests, however once all the pieces fell into place we were closer to 50. Unfortunately our guest count dropped below 50 just after our window to let Georgia know, but she was kind enough to offer us the price difference. We applied that balance towards renting some heaters and lighting the fire pits as the weather got colder than anticipated, as well as to handling the trash. (Pay attention to the contract, you are responsible for removing trash or there is a fee.) One thing I didn't realize before booking was that there is space for a kitchen, but it needs to be built out for your event, so make sure you consider that into any costs. Georgia was really helpful and responsive to all of our questions (we had so many) and anything that we couldn't do she had very reasonable reasons. (For example, at one point I thought I'd like confetti, but she explained why she doesn't allow that on her property which made total sense!) The weeks before I became worried that there wasn't enough decor, so we bought some items that we ended up returning. Once the rentals arrived, combined with the lighting, everything was beautiful as it was. Though there is excellent lighting, I would recommend watching your step as we did have a few tripping incidents (that were not alcohol fueled in some cases) as the ground changed. It was more due to the way things were spaced and we'd have to make sure to look down as we stepped around things, but we managed to survive. We've started to see some photos and everything looked beautiful; it was a romantic but relaxed vibe which was just what we wanted. I worried it wouldn't feel like a wedding, but it did. Georgia was a gracious host, our guests enjoyed her home (we made sure to tell them that they could rent it as well for an overnight getaway) and we can't wait to start reading her book. She gave us the sweetest compliment after, saying how kind our guests were and how that spoke to who my husband and I were as well. We stayed in touch after the wedding and I hope we meet again in the future for events or just a dinner to hear of her adventures! PS - her cats were big hits all around, too!

Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, enjoying a romantic date night, meeting friends for brunch, or simply treating yourself to an unforgettable meal, Ca' Del Sole delivers every single time. The food is exceptional. Every dish is beautifully prepared with the quality, elegance, and attention to detail you'd expect from an upscale restaurant in France or Italy--but at prices that are surprisingly reasonable. It's rare to find a restaurant that feels this luxurious without the luxury price tag. Their brunch is outstanding, dinner is absolutely spectacular, and every meal feels like an occasion. The service is equally impressive. It's not unusual to spot an A-list celebrity dining here, but what I love most is that everyone is treated like a VIP. The hospitality is warm, genuine, and consistently exceptional. The staff has a way of making every guest feel welcome, appreciated, and completely taken care of. I especially love the beautiful cabanas and garden patio. It's one of those places where you find yourself lingering because you simply don't want the experience to end. Due to an Uber address mix-up, we ended up at this location by mistake. Upon arriving near closing time, we just asked if we could come in for a drink as we believed this was a bar: After being told it was a private event, I calmly tried to explain our Uber mistake. Instead of handling the situation professionally, a female staff member completely lost her temper. She started screaming at us, talked to us terribly, and physically aggressed us and telling us to go away. Given the unprovoked hostility and the way she treated us, I strongly believe her behavior was racially motivated because we are not from America. She tried to physically attack us. Her actions were so completely out of line and unwarranted that even several guests from the private event came over to apologize to us for her deplorable conduct. No one should ever be subjected to discrimination, verbal abuse, or violence over a simple misunderstanding. I highly advise avoiding this place, customer service, safety, and basic respect are completely nonexistent here. To make matters worse, I didn't even say a word to provoke her, she completely misdirected her anger at us just because of other people standing nearby. Being targeted, screamed at, and pushed when you haven't done or said a single thing is completely unhinged. She literally screamed right in our faces: "Hell no! Get the fuck out of here!"
