We are renovating our home at the moment and so once again I used Silverline Drywall. Jerry did an excellent job with texturing the walls and removing the popcorn ceiling. And two of his guys came in to paint the walls and all our French doors. Called Silverline on a Sunday and got ahold of Gerardo. He was able to met me the next day and give me a quote on my bathroom and desperately needed help. The scope of work was to remove popcorn material, repair sagging seam, repair area where a wall had been removed, and apply knockdown texture. When the quote was given, I pointed out to Gerardo where the wall had been removed. He told me that I would be happy with the results. The first day, when he removed the popcorn, he left water standing on the laminate floor. This cause 11 boards to bubble up on the edges as the water was absorbed into the flooring. He offered to have a friend to repair, but the friend was not available for 2 weeks. I repaired the flooring (removed and replaced the damaged boards). This required removing additional flooring to reach the damaged area. It took 2 days and he credited me $200. About 1 week later, I observed a crack in the ceiling where the wall had been. As the mud dried and shrunk, it became obvious the mud was very uneven. When I contacted Gerardo, he said the problem was because it was uneven to begin with. However, I had observed that he had removed all the original mud and replaced it, so it could not have been that. Then he told me he knew I was going to be a problem from the start! The only problem is that I paid for a professional job and it seems that Iended up with an amateur who is unwilling to make any attempt to correct the problem. The rest of the work looks good, but not perfect. There are some drag lines that he has told me I can sand out. read more
