I have now spent over $12,000.00 in their office in less than a year on root canals and crowns (with INSURANCE). Both crowns have fallen out in less than 6 months (2). They are the wrong shade and do not match the other teeth (very white and obvious). They recemented them back in (charged and billed insurance/running up my benefits for the year on work that was already paid for, upwards of 4,000 a tooth). I could not have booked an appointment due to their cancellation policy. Mind you, I spoke directly to the office and note my chart that I had not cancelled my appointment and yet they continue to state I did not cancel within 48 hours of said appointment and therefore they BANNED me from making appointments. So, here I am with a mouth full of VERY EXPENSIVE, mismatched, broken teeth, in pain, and cannot even make an appointment for repairs. I can only call on Wednesday's and hope for a cancellation. My last visit to Crescent resulted in a perfectly good lower molar that was drilled down and cracked in half, while the dentist was recementing my upper molar crown back in. So now, another dental repair to a good tooth that is now broken. I have since obtained a new dentist, reputable, reasonably priced, and in the process of having the $12k worth of work done at Crescent Dental redone as the new dental provider stated they did a root canal and crown on the upper molar that is not viable. I need to start an implant process ($6k) to replace the unnecessary $5k upper molar that Crescent did in March of 2026, basically now an $11,000k tooth, not to mention the cost of the office visits for repairs. I was informed by new dentist in June that the tooth should never have had a root canal and crown as it would not have worked. Money thrown away on a useless, expensive crown. I have reached out to my dental insurance as Crescent was submitting claims that were not valid, such as a mouth guard, office visits, xrays, etc. They are investigating Crescent Dental for false claims. I DO NOT RECOMMEND CRESCENT DENTAL or any of its affiliates as they are shady. They do not do good work, cause more harm than good, unprofessional, rude, and simply looking to get paid. Yes, they are more expensive than a regular dentist as he is a Priemer Dentist, meaning he submits claims at the highest billing rate and you get stuck paying more than other dentist and runs down your allotted benefits for the year. We didn't understand why the over charge. I called and spoke with billing personal and she said that the Dr. was working off network. I asked for her to explain, and she said," the Dr. is allowed to make this decision to go off network. What this means is they don't want to pay the fee from the insurance, so they bill the patient the extra money. Regardless, if the doctor makes the decision, the patient should know if the Dr. is working off network. Not letting the patient know about this decision, to me feels greedy in a little bit of a scam . Going to the dentist is the expensive as it is, that's why we have insurance, we pay insurance on top of that and now her prices are higher. They don't want to pay the fee, but make the patients pay at a higher cost.
