They suggested a glass company. The glass company put the wrong kind of glass in, because they didn't do any research. It shattered. I went back to Groth-Gates and said if I order the correct glass, will you install. Got the glass, took it to them. They said they would tell me if I needed to order new gasket. Never called. I went in to see status. It appears, they had forgotten about the job. Called me an hour later to say I needed new gasket. Its now Jan. 9th, 2026. I found the gasket on Amazon (thanks to a company in McMinnville willing to help even though it would not translate into an order for them), but can't get it delivered until Jan. 20th. All this time without heat because Groth-Gates didn't give a flying F@*k to help me.

My house had been pretty warm but it looked like the thermostat said it was cooling. I called Mill Creek and they had a technician come out. Tim Wilson was great to work with. He diagnosed the problem after a leak check, checked their history on the heat pump, called the office for more info, and I was told I needed refrigerant and a new compressor. The company called the manufacturer and because it wasn't that old the compressor was provided to me at no cost, and also a discount on the refrigerant. The new part arrived a few days later, Tim showed up timely and obviously knew what he was doing. He installed things, double checked my thermostat, answered my questions and provided a written description of his work. I was very happy with my experience with Mill Creek Heating and this employee!

Last week, when the system was not functioning, two technicians came out and worked on the issue. They were professional and courteous, and we appreciated their efforts. However, the next morning the same problem occurred, and the house was again without heat. When I called to report the issue, my first call was routed to an answering service and I did not receive a return call. I called again and reached someone at the business. When I explained that the system was still not working and the person responsible for paying the bills was understandably upset, the woman who answered responded by saying, " That doesn't matter to me." I found this response dismissive and completely inappropriate, particularly given the amount of money we have spent with your company and the urgency of the heating issue. As a result of both the unresoved issues and this interaction, we will not be using Mill Creek again, nor recommending your services to others.

Now, I am very hard to impress but Dave and Blue Star are amazing! They always arrive in time as scheduled, they do perfect work, clean up after themselves, and ensure a complicated system is working safely. Then Dave and Adam show up to install the tank and they negotiate a huge dual-wheel truck with a crane between my garden and my grape vines! They literally had about 2" clearance on either side of the truck and didn't damage a thing! Fantastic! These guys are awesome!
