The service advisor I had was great and considerate. Even went as far as considering my young children in the van by first asking me for permission, before offering them a lollipop. Service was quick but over the 9 minutes as they advertise but that was due to the optional engine flush I got. I found pricing was very reasonable. An added plus is there is a self serve spray bay right beside so after your oil change you can wash your vehicle :)

A-16 was the first I called and Nabil, the owner, told me immediately that he had the parts I needed and he would call me back when they were ready. True to his word he called within an hour and about an hour later I had the spare window, which was $75, less than the $220 the dealership quoted. A-16 are an awesome business. They have used parts, gently-used parts, reconditioned parts, refurbished parts and can get you new parts as well. I had a small crack in my rear light unit that was going to cost me around $400 through the dealership to get the part. Nabil got me a replacement after-market, new part for $115. If you have any need for parts for your car, and are ok with gently used, then please give A-16 a call. If they don't have it they can get the part for you at way less than the dealerships.

Instead, the visit quickly turned into a constant stream of upselling. I came in for an oil change, but they started checking items I hadn't requested, and I wasn't informed beforehand that these inspections were part of their service. They tried to sell me automatic transmission fluid even though my vehicle has a manual transmission that does not use automatic transmission fluid (per the manual). They also told me my coolant was wrong, despite it having just been checked. In addition, they checked my tire pressure, turn signals, and brakes - things my car already monitors and alerts me to if there's an issue. All of this happened while I sat in my car on a very hot day. What should have been a quick 10-20minute oil change took over 40 minutes. Had I known this would be the experience, I never would have chosen Mr. Lube. I'll be going back to Oil Changers for future service.

The Crankcase takes 4.1 Litres of oil. These idiots put in over 5.3 Litres. I have no idea why my engine didn't blow a seal. Photo of the oil I drained out attached. Problem #2: They got the biggest and dumbest employee to reef the filter on with as much force as they could muster. I had to crush the filter with a hammer so that I could grip it to spin it with a vice grip to twist it off. Filters are supposed to be 'FINGER TIGHT'. Photo attached. Problem 3: They used the cheapest and smallest Chinese filter on the planet. It probably cost them between 50 cents and $1. I'm being generous. The name on it is 'Service Champ'. Never heard of it. It was 30% smaller than the proper size Fram or Purolator or Mann filter. I estimate the total cost to TAKE 5 for the lowest quality oil available, at around $7, and $1 for the total garbage filter = $8. They charged me $60. Deal with these clowns at your peril. I never will again.
