Then we decided to get a digital rendering of the porch which came out great, but came with a price of over $1k in addition to the initial Estimate which was over 40k. Some time went by and we heard very minimal about the project between March and August. I decided to do a review on yelp to motivate the company to do something with our project. I received a phone call from the PM about how this affects their business. I agreed that I would remove that review and add a review at the end. Our understanding was that there would be quality control and communication weekly along the way however; this was not the case. There were days where the painter and foundation person came when they said they would and other times they didn't. A couple of times I would go out and look and tell the construction worker that the quality was not acceptable. This occurred on more than one occasion. I called the PM to tell him that this was the problem. It got fixed and we ended up with a beautiful porch in Mid November with a total of $45k spent. If you have the time and money to spend to guide this project the exact way that you want then yes, otherwise; I would recommend a different company.

Unlike other contractors who bid on the same job, Trinity carefully examined the issue to understand possible root causes, and then talked me through exactly what they would do and why it would prevent the issue from returning. Trinity's bid wasn't the cheapest, but their reputation and communication made me much more confident in the investment, and I'm glad I chose them over the cheaper options. I highly value communication in a job like this, and Adrian exceeded all my expectations. He talked me through all the options, and shared regular updates about the start date and what to expect. Florencio was very responsive from the get go. He gave me an extremely reasonable quote within a week or so of me reaching out. Overall our renovation project took about 2 months (that was for 2 total bathroom remodels plus taking out an entire wall, a new bedroom floor, and a kitchen backsplash). We took a 2 week hiatus for Christmas and new years and we only allowed one bathroom to be worked on at a time so we weren't without a shower or toilet. Our countertop install was referred out to a different contractor, and we didn't love that experience but that wasn't Florencio's fault at that point. We were responsible for buying all material (it's not included in his quote) but I preferred that. I felt like there was more transparency because I knew exactly where my money was going. We were able to get a much higher quality renovation for the price than we would've with the other companies we reached out to. Anything Florencio's workers had to buy for us was reflected and added to the quote. Otherwise we just paid for the labor. He charges as he goes (we paid a deposit and then paid per room basically). Our best experiences were with Greg doing tile and Raul doing plumbing. Also, his demo and flooring team worked super fast and were as well. We would definitely use Florencio again for home projects! While the workers show up at different times during the day, Florencio always responded very quickly to me when I asked him who was showing up and when. We love all the new work and our house feels brand new thanks to Florencio and his team!

I hired them to re-attach a wood railing to a second-story Trex deck, and they did a good job. I…read moreasked them specifically to attach it in such a way that it did not puncture the roofing, and they were careful to attach it at many points to the Trex without going all the way down to the roof. Before I got to Rodriguez Remodeling, I had contacted directly several other contractors, all of whom either replied that they don't do that kind of work or did not reply at all. Then I tried the Yelp "Request a Quote" feature for a likely contractor (who replied that they do not do that kind of work) but got a response in a few hours from Rodriguez Remodeling. The Request a Quote feature has an option to send your job description to competing contractors as well as the one you are looking at. I've tried this feature a couple of times and it has worked well. The owner, Florencio Rodriguez, came out the next day to inspect the job and sent me a quote a week later. After some negotiation I gave him the go-ahead, and he sent one of his worker out the same day to do the work. So overall I had a very good experience with this contractor. Their only drawback is that they seem very expensive. They charged me about $2,900 for the job, which took one person less than a day and a little bit of materials, which seems very high. On the other hand, I had been trying for several months to get the work done, so I was relieved to have it completed and done so well.

I texted on May 23rd saying I had not heard from the technician. I never did hear from the technician, and no one came on the 25th. No follow-up from the company. On June 3rd I texted them again saying I had not heard from them, but we still wanted to do it. Rescheduled for Monday June 9th. On the preceding Friday they asked if we could move it to Tuesday the 10th. I said fine. On Tuesday morning they told me it would not work for them that day, and that they would knock $100 off the price in consideration of the repeated inconvenience and come on Wednesday, today, the 11th. Today, no show and no call. It is now 27 days after my original contact and this work has still not been done. I'm going to have to find someone else.

He didn't finish the last part of the project, which was not measured correctly, and once again, we have to finish something he started. He likes to blame his subs for anything that doesn't go right. The communication was terrible and often misleading. The only time we could depend on Don to check on the basement, was when he needed to get paid. The contract is super confusing on what's included and what's not. He was often very difficult to deal with and the invoices he gave us, were incorrect. He admitted to us that he under bid to win the job. We would NOT recommend him for a basement remodel.
