They helped to get my paperwork for the visit straight. Next Nicole escorted me to my assigned space and worked with me to get the questions on the portal answered. She was energetic, formerly from Compton, MD and most gracious in her work. Tara, who took pictures of my bad shoulder asked me with humor " have you been oystermen tonging for boulders." This shoulder is not in a happy place, but Dr Johnson will cut to the chase She took me back to my assigned space where Dr Johnson met me. He had a trick up his sleeve. He prepped where the shot was going and Said: "Now wiggle the toes on your left foot". Becoming engaged, I made certain they were moving. From the first phone call, the front desk staff made it easy to "enroll" as a new patient by explaining the process and having me fill in paperwork beforehand. By the time I got to the office, I had a few more things to sign, but was only in the waiting room for a few minutes before I was brought back to an exam room with a physical therapist to take my vitals. I saw Dr. Green, and she made me feel at ease as soon as she entered the exam room. I'm used to medical practitioners dismissing my concerns because of my weight and telling me that losing weight is the number one most important thing, but Dr. Green dismissed MY "I know my back pain is likely related to my being overweight" comment and reassured me that she was more concerned about figuring out where my pain was coming from and helping me to correct it. All she had to do was look at my back and do a little prodding and she immediately discerned that my left hip is higher than my right and that push/pull was a major factor in my discomfort. She took me into another room, where I laid on the table while she manipulated my back and my hips. During the entire process, the explained clearly what she was going to do, how it was going to feel, and reassured me about any scary noises from my body or the table (some adjustments can be LOUD!). When I stood up a few minutes later, I felt like a new person. Dr. Green listed off a few stretches that she'd "prescribe" for me, and then I was led to the rehab room to do stretches with a physical therapist. I wish I'd gotten her name ‍, but like Dr. Green, she was very informative and kept me updated each step of the way. I was taught a number of stretches I could do at home to help with my discomfort, and even given handouts with visuals of everything. My physical therapist walked me through everything, stretching me there in the office, and even had me demonstrate the stretches back to her to be sure that I would be doing them correctly at home. The front desk staff was also very helpful. They scheduled me for a follow-up appointment quickly, gave me an explanation of what my insurance would be covering, processed my co-pay, and had me out the door in a matter of minutes. The entire process of walking through the front door to walking back out took about an hour and fifteen minutes, and during the entire time all of the staff was masked, usually with gloves, and I saw cleaning and decontamination happening between patients (even smaller details like wiping down pens and iPads before/after they changed hands). This was such an awesome experience, and a day later I'm still feeling good (albeit a little sore, which Dr. Green had warned me about, but she also gave me tips on what I could do to ease that pain if it got to be too much). I have another appointment next week and I'm already excited to go back. If more people had experiences like this with chiropractors, I don't see how anyone could pass on an opportunity to better their health with them!

Then drew my blood which seemed to go fine but the office staff called me to say the blood drawn was done improperly or something and they couldn't get the results needed, so I had to go elsewhere. I had to pay a copay, and I asked if they would just do the test again or refund me for the cost. They refused to redo the test, or help me in anyway, and the lady over the phone literally argued with me and hung up on me. At this time this doctor noticed severe decay in front of a molar he pulled, and said he doubted the tooth could be saved. Why after 4 years being seen at patuxent dental did they never see this decay? When I called and complained they set me up with an appointment, and then the day prior to the appointment they called and said they needed to end our patient client relationship. So if you complain about their bad dentistry practices , rather than fixing the issues they will simply drop you as a patient. It is very easy to see why two highly skilled dentist left this practice, and believe me I should have never gone there, all they care about is big money procedures like crowns, implants, etc while they let the rest of your teeth rot. There was a lot of work to do, but he made it absolutely stress-free working on my fillings and crowns. After he left the dental clinic that he was working at and until he opened his own practice I remained completely dentist-less. I did go to a dentist once but it was a mediocre experience, and I would never go there again. Couple months later I found Dr. Yazdan's clinic on Google Maps and was so relieved that my dentist problems are over! Even though he is located way further from me than the clinic he used to work at, I'd rather drive to his clinic than go to somebody I don't trust. I've already had my first appointment at Yazdan Family Dentistry and was quite impressed! Being his patient, you do feel like family!
