They helped to get my paperwork for the visit straight. Next Nicole escorted me to my assigned space and worked with me to get the questions on the portal answered. She was energetic, formerly from Compton, MD and most gracious in her work. Tara, who took pictures of my bad shoulder asked me with humor " have you been oystermen tonging for boulders." This shoulder is not in a happy place, but Dr Johnson will cut to the chase She took me back to my assigned space where Dr Johnson met me. He had a trick up his sleeve. He prepped where the shot was going and Said: "Now wiggle the toes on your left foot". Becoming engaged, I made certain they were moving. AND before I knew it the shot was done " because he knew exactly where is should be put! Not to be lengthy but Mike Travis did my hands, Daniel Bauk did my hip, and Colleen worpked on my knee. Pretty straight forward and good auto reminders. Downer was the dang billing! Advanced Ortho tells you to sign for a knee brace that they charge first Tricare $949 for a Osset universal rebound knee brace that one can get on the online at Alimed.com for $152. I ended up getting stuck for $113 of it. Of course I was suspicious before the procedure and asked what my out of pocket would be and was assured there'd be none - caveat emptor - if you're about 5'10" reach out u can have mine! THEN they have u go back another time to get more items u eventually end up getting charged for because I was told insurance/ Tricare wouldn't authorize on 1 form/ visit. In my case? A $132 post op ice pack that billing listed as a (yet another) post op knee brace on a follow-on Statement. Another $15.84. Just waiting for the next kick in the jimmy!! Like I said GREAT care for which I'm very grateful just want folks to be aware of the add-ons u will get hit with. Thank God my insurance is decent - I can only imagine how bad others are getting taken for accessories!

He encouraged me to write down all my questions and bring them to my visit after his initial evaluation that I was a good candidate for a total knee replacement. I did so and he took so much time answering all my concerns but did not pressure me to make my decision on whether to have the surgery. I did decide to go forward after speaking to a couple of his former patients and so glad I did. He did an awesome job and my healing process has been much quicker than my first total knee replacement surgery. Very happy with him and his staff. Their surgical center is very professional and immaculate. I never felt I was just one more patient.....I felt I was the only patient! Cannot recommend him more highly.

Last night I had one of the scariest moments since becoming a mother. I thought my 18 month old son…read morehad swallowed a button battery. Panicked, I drove to the nearest facility that could do an xray which was this urgent care. Even though they had a 90 minute wait, they got my son back within 5 minutes of me bursting through their doors. The triage nurse was very patient as I cried my son's information to her. The xray tech was very gentle in guiding me to position my crying and confused toddler. The doctor came in very quickly to examine the results and quickly notified me that there was no button battery on the imaging. Everyone was so quick and patient with the entire process. I was advised to go to the hospital for further treatment. As I came home to pack a bag, I stumbled upon the button battery that my cats had been playing with on my stairwell. I want to thank the staff and doctors at this facility for easing my mama mind and being so awesome and fast acting!

It's my first pregnancy, so I always come to my appointments with lots of questions and Dr Polko and the nurses have been friendly, patient and helpful every time. The staff smiles and seems to enjoy being there. They have an answering system which you can call and leave a message for a nurse if you are having a problem. I had to leave a message before and was nervous about how long it would take to get a return call. I received a call back in about 20 minutes which I thought was great. The nurse even called in a prescription for me after we talked, saving me time away from work and/or an office visit. I have heard that it's difficult to get annual gyn appointments with her. I think most of her practice is ob and every time I've been in, it seems like every woman in the waiting room is pregnant. I have found that the waiting room gets quite crowded around lunch and in the afternoon, so I would suggest sticking with morning appointments if you can. Oh, and if you're preggo they collect a urine sample when you visit, so don't pee before you go or you'll be stuck in the waiting room drinking water! I can't remark on what she's like in the delivery room, but so far she's been great and the staff there is awesome as well. I'm thankful to have them!

The provider was courteous and appropriately evaluated my daughter's ankle and toe injuries after…read moreher fall. However, I felt the visit overlooked some important aspects of her care. In addition to her ankle and toe injuries, my daughter had a large scrape and significant road rash from falling on the pavement. I was surprised that the wound itself and her tetanus vaccination status were not addressed until I specifically brought them up. Since her last tetanus shot had been more than 10 years earlier, I believe wound care and immunization status should have been part of the initial evaluation. I also asked on my daughter's behalf about a refill for her prescribed progesterone because she had run out of medication. The request was declined before we had the opportunity to explain that she only needed a short bridge refill until her primary care appointment the following week. We were later able to obtain that temporary refill through Teladoc. I am sharing this feedback because I would like to see this urgent care continue to improve. It is conveniently located close to our home, and we would like to feel confident relying on it when our family needs care. The orthopedic evaluation was appropriate, but a more comprehensive assessment and better communication would have made this a much better experience.

The office…read morewas weird, and the doctor was a mess, kept dropping all of the equipment and papers, wasn't attentive. Then drew my blood which seemed to go fine but the office staff called me to say the blood drawn was done improperly or something and they couldn't get the results needed, so I had to go elsewhere. I had to pay a copay, and I asked if they would just do the test again or refund me for the cost. They refused to redo the test, or help me in anyway, and the lady over the phone literally argued with me and hung up on me. A waste of time, money, and PTO used to get off work for them to do everything wrong. Do NOT go here.
