Pudding stop has bench style seating, so you may have to get used to the fact that you may be sitting with strangers and possible their babies. I tend to come in the late afternoon so the ambience is rather chilled out to my liking. I've ordered the Devon Cream Tea,(£6) which they give you bottomless tea in a teapot with cup and tea strainer. The scone is soft and fluffy and so perfect, and with generous lashings of clotted cream and jam which adds to the divinity of this British classic. Carrot cake is moist and not too sweet...just right. Chocolate flourless cake was a moist sticky chocolate gooeyness which needed some single cream to compliment it, but still throughly enjoyed.
