2020-08-03 14:50:37 Took my truck in 6 days ago today 7-2-2020..I never received a call back from them and had to so all the calling and even drove by 3 times to check on truck.I was informed today that they have wasted my time and there's by not saying they couldn't work on my truck.They had other appointments and needed to pay bills.SO mine was put on the back burner.Then the next excuse is cause there so backed up and have the only mechanic /owner doing all the work.Then they drove my truck to Alvin several times and put some mileage on it.Still after all this it couldn't be fixed.NO charge got my keys and left.IM sure they would be fine for small mechanical issues only.After a week trying to get my truck only to pass inspection i know longer had an patience left.They were nice about it all.. read more

Simms automotive is the most dishonest place I have ever gone to. I took my vehicle there and agreed to the diagnostic fees, but all I got for my $182.00 was pure speculation and outrageous estimates for future work. (they want $774.00 for a brake job and $554.00 to replace my radiator) He also talked about my radiator possibly leaking into my exhaust and maybe having to replace my engine.(WHAT!!!) They also claimed that when trying to scan my computer to determine what the check engine light was all about, they could not read it because I had a fuse out. When I went to go pick up my car, I stopped at AutoZone to get some opinions and they read my computer with a $50 dollar scanner, (I asked how much it cost) free of charge and as it turns out, all I needed was to replace a spark plug. I also asked the people at AutoZone about my brakes and radiator. I followed their instructions to get the air out of my brake fluid lines...yes just air, then I bought this mercury looking leak stop and now my radiator is fixed and my car is running like a champ. All for well under a $100.00. STAY AWAY from these SCAMMERS. YOU will PAY dearly!!! read more

FINALLY, my wife and I found a mechanic who is honest and worth of our trust. We've lived in Pearland for nearly 10 years and tried many places until we stumbled upon Simms. We have used them for 2+ years on our 3 cars - for major fixes & diagnostics (troublesome ones that other mechanics never got right), and I waited a while to rate them to make sure our vehicles were truly fixed. Having taken my 2007 Toyota, "Rosie" to Simms Automotive to be serviced for many years, I can only say they are not only thorough, and take the time to diagnose the issue, but offer several solutions. Oh yes, some other "chain" places may seem like a better deal? But honestly, do you want to just "put a band-aid on your car"? I do not know who this Kansas M. is from the year 3/30/2010 is but I wonder if his vehicle is still running? I have owned several vehicles in my 72 years and wished I had taken them here because they would probably still be running. Very friendly and can be trusted to be honest about car issues. I took my Dodge Magnum here when it was just out of warranty and had some transmission issues. It turned out that they did not have the right tool to check my transmission fluid (a special Dodge part), and instead of making me pay for parts and labor to do the job, they actually recommended taking it to the Dodge dealer, and was prepared to speak to the dealer to let them know what they had found. Hubby has also taken his car there a couple of times and we will continue to go there if and when we need to. read more
