This was 15 minutes after picking up the vehicle from Ellis Automotive where it received its routine maintenance and a thorough multipoint inspection since the vehicle was recently purchased and I wasn't sure if there were any hidden issues. I had gone to this inspection location before, but it looked different this time. During the inspection, the mechanic asked me to go over to my vehicle while it was inside the inspection bay. The hood was up and he had checked the oil, washer fluid, brake fluid and so on. He said that his inspection was "complimentary" and everything looked okay. I was speechless. None of that had anything to do with a routine state inspection and I had not authorized this "complimentary" inspection. The car passed its state inspection. Their receptionist said that the owner had a repair shop located elsewhere in town, Cruz-N-Carz.

What I got instead was one of the most blatantly dishonest service experiences I've had in years. After waiting, I was told the alignment was "done." Except... nothing had changed. The car drove exactly the same, and when I asked for the alignment printout, things suddenly got weird. That's when I was told they "need a special tool" to align a BMW. So let me get this straight you supposedly completed an alignment, but now you're saying you don't have the equipment to actually do it? So no work was done according to the printout? And yet they still charged me. When I called them out on this there was no real explanation just backpedaling and vague excuses.
