I handed over everything--his insurance info, the accident report confirming his arrest, the whole package. I figured it was a golden opportunity for Cameron Law to secure fair compensation on my behalf. They connected me with their local physical clinics, which I genuinely appreciated. The treatments helped, and they covered the cost. From January through June, I went through months of appointments--chiropractic adjustments multiple times a week near their office, plus occasional visits to another clinic where I was prescribed pain medication. By June, after countless sessions and a lot of time invested, I was told by one of their attorneys that they couldn't proceed with my case. Why? Because the driver who hit me was excluded from the insurance policy on the car he was driving--meaning no coverage, no payout. Had this happened in Nevada, I'm told, the outcome would've been very different. In the end, I spent around $900 out of pocket: $500 for my deductible to repair my rear bumper, and about $400 to rent a car for the week my vehicle was in the shop. The most unreasonable people in the world are people who are dealing with fresh trauma, yet it is the duty of the law office to collect the information needed to advocate for them while not diminishing their unique horror. While the office may have seen this 100000000 times, they must never forget that it's likely a technicolor event playing on a loop in the clients head and that it now comprises most of their reality: trauma yadda yadda. She's more patient with me than I would have been back when I worked for my mom. The office itself is not merely comfortable but also well laid out for wheelchair access as well as for low vision people. The first is expected as an accessibility measure that any decent people would consider but the second is a delightful find. It's rare that legally blind me doesn't whack into furniture in a new place but I'm leaving with no new bruises! So kind and accommodating. Did not enjoy my experience with the firm for multiple reasons and would not use their services…read moreagain. They were referred by multiple people but after I initially met with the owner Joe Wirth to give them my claim to handle, he was non responsive (don't give out your cell phone number if you're not going to respond, especially when the original paralegal was non responsive). I thought the claim could have been handled differently to avoid litigation where they bumped the fee up to 40% instead of 33% (all they did was file and there were no other litigation activities --they made more money off the claim then I did and I handled it myself the first six months). Also, I had a $600 bill that was not included in my payout even though I sent it to the paralegal multiple times in 2022 (I had to pay out of pocket to have an additional reading completed by the radiologist for an MRI). In a town where PI attorneys are a dime a dozen, I would recommend doing your due diligence before signing with this one.
