Glad to have found them on yelp. Went for immigration medicals and they know what they are doing. Paper work provided at the end was thorough. Getting an appointment was easy. Called in on a Friday and got a Monday am appointment. The front desk was quick to check in and the wait time wasn't long. Don't expect great customer service at the reception. They were as nice as they can be for the amount they charge. A blood test was done on site and results came back in less than 2 days. Coming to Dr.Lee, he was very soft spoken and answered all my questions and had a really nice bedside manner. One was actively picking up phone calls. After knocking for like 5 different times, I called their number, and it got hung up. I was honestly so pissed and left. Terrible horrible front desk staff! The front desk staff doesn't explain the long wait. There's no such thing as appointment because the wait is long. They get the immigration patients go through first even without an appointment. The wait room is overly crowded. The examination room is dirty and messy. The doctor is nice, friendly and ok. My reasons to go to Dr Lee: * He's approved by USCIS * He has good Yelp review * I needed an appointment really fast * I needed an affordable solution since it seems like Kaiser doesn't have any USCIS approved physicians... My experience: * This is real Chinatown, so yes it looks scary at first, especially since you definitely doesn't want to end up in a sketchy situation for such an important matter. But don't be scared by the building facade, the old elevator or the tv show looking waiting room. * Dr Lee and his staff are pretty welcoming and professional. * I lacked explanation regarding the whole process but I could have asked more questions. * I paid $370 for the whole medical exam, 3 vaccins including the flu one and on-site blood testing ($60) The process / My advice: * Make an appointment, probably on Wednesday if you're in the city. * Go there with your USCIS forms, your passport, your insurance number and your vaccins certificate. * Give everything to the counter, they will only keep the first 2 pages of the USCIS forms. * Dr Lee will quickly exam you (15min) * He will also vaccin you if necessary (sit tight, I got my 3 shots in the same arm in less than a minute haha.) * Get your blood tested next door (makes it easier and it's pretty quick. I called a couple of other places and they quoted $400+ for just the exam (not including shots) but Dr. Lee's office offers the examination for $180 and if you have insurance it will probably cover the shots you need. I had to re-do the exam because the previous one had expired while I was waiting for my interview. If you've done your medical examination before, make sure you bring a copy of your previous medical exam so you don't have to get additional shots. I came in on Monday with a one-page printout of my vaccination records and $180 in cash. Blood taken, urine taken, tuberculin test injected. Came back Wednesday evening and got my I-693--I'd forgotten my A-number the first time, so when I came back with it the number was filled in on all 13 pages by hand within a couple of minutes without a whisper of a complaint. I was told to come back if I needed a correction or more copies. Really prompt service over the phone, too. Look, I don't even care. It's $180, all services included. Needed a Civil Surgeon for a USCIS I-693 medical examination form in order to apply for a green card. Most of the doctors in SF charge a significant amount of money to do the medical examination (read: other places run by, ahem, 'western' doctors, can charge up to $400). Dr. Lee charged $150 + $10 for a mandatory flu shot (if your exam falls in the USCIS-defined flu season dates and you haven't had one). I had a great experience with Dr. Lee. Avoided the other civil surgeons in SF because of the Yelp reviews there. Why pay nearly 300% at a different doctor that will give you a bad experience? The price variation leads me to believe how scammy a lot of US doctors and the US health care system can be. In fact, a higher price probably indicates worse care because that doctor is probably about the financial bottom line, not your best interests. Anyways, enough of the rant. It was real simple to book. I called and I could come in immediately to do the exam. What's great is that he's in SF on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays, Burlingame on Tues/Thurs. He was very friendly, felt like he got to know me personally. Speaks perfect English and Cantonese (probably Mandarin too). Took all my information appropriately and gave me my shot. Afterwards, had to pay for it. As a caution, they take CASH ONLY. So make sure you have enough cash. There's a Bank of America ATM outside on the streetside as part of the same building. Then afterwards, had to walk over to a clinic one-block away to get my blood drawn for the test. That was very easy too. Came back two days for Tb reaction result and to pickup the forms. Fast and easy. Asked for a copy of the sealed form. One of the nicest doctors I've ever met. Helps a lot of the underprivileged elderly, which seems to be the clientele there. Kudos for that. If you are going to see Dr. Lee for immigration purposes, he's probably the best in the city. Cash only. $150 and additional cost for shots ( typically $30-70 ish I feel like). I paid $180 for the whole exam that includes PPD ( skin test for TB but if you have been vaccinated for TB before you should tell the doctor but he really doesn't care or look at the result) and blood test. He didn't even take my blood pressure. You have to go back to get the letter or skin test reading but he didn't even look at my skin test. I highly doubt his credibility as a MD since he doesn't even speak English but if you just want your stuff done for green card physical, just go here. Don't even bother going to real civil surgeon who would charge you $450-600. I wouldn't see him for real medical issues. read more

I needed an appointment on fairly short notice, and he was able to squeeze me in on the same day after I had to reschedule twice. All you need is your passport, your vaccination records, and health insurance. I waited for about 15 min and was called in. Dr. Lee was very friendly and down to earth. He gave me two shots and they were both painless. Exam + tetanus shot + flu shot was $300. They prefer cash so please bring cash with you! The last part was to get your blood drawn. It's in a lab next door, and that was a painless process as well. I went back to get the results one week later. Right in the heart of Chinatown, Dr. Lee's office has everything printed in Chinese and English, has Chinese television running, and lots of Chinese reading material... made me feel like I was back in Singapore! My reason for visiting was to get a referral, and Dr. Lee was super efficient about it. He asked me a few general health questions and then went to get the referral.
