It's very dirty at this location. They even had a box mouse trap in women's rest. I could hear that a mouse was in it.

My appointments in recent months have gone smoothly and the patient portal bug was corrected.

So I called for appointment for x-ray was told they will not make appointment for x-ray and I could just come in so first time I come in on Thursday afternoon they tell me it a 4-6 hour wait so I left I'm back here now on a Tuesday I came in nice and early again told it five or 6 hour wait I tell them fine and I would return them informed that if I'm not here when the call my name I have to start over ok but if it 5 or 6 hour wait I'll be back I was then told that if someone doesn't show up for there appointment I could get called earlier so I now been sitting in this office for 5 hours and still waiting read more

I have worked in the medical field for over 20 years....12 in radiology. I've been to the McDowell location first = horrible. Dirty, people are rude and not a great experience at all. Second time I tried Buckeye. It's clean but so so cold, the atmosphere is grim, very non-welcoming, no teamwork, everyone seemed unhappy working there. In my opinion, if your staff isn't happy then your clients won't be happy. Atmosphere is a lot from waiting rooms to staff. Being new in AZ this is frightening. You call...no answer, schedule online and there is no record. Also I've never heard of a radiology clinic taking so long for results...especially when utilizing PACS. ??? I miss being a clinic manager when I see clinics like these...I feel for the staff/patients/clients, and now I am one! Eek! read more

The front office people seem to be a little hesitant to help. When you first get there they are always on their computers and tell you to stand there and wait. Sometimes they start talking to the other people that work there. It just does not seem very urgent to get the patient/customer taken care of... but then you go into the back, with the techs, the doctors, the nurses, etc... and these people are AMAZING! They are friendly, informative, and even kind. I had two CT scans back to back and I have veins that are very deep... my veins have troubled many nurses and techs who have tried to take blood or give me an IV. Therefore, it is a less than horrible experience for me normally... I get poked repeatedly. Anyway, the tech here at Buckeye-Simeon med also had to poke me a couple of times to get the IV started, but he was awesome... he explained everything he was doing and he really made it a lot less painful than normal. He was GREAT! Very friendly and professional also. Just made the experience so much better than prior "poke" experiences. :) When I had to get X-rays last year, same situation... the people in the front office seemed annoyed people were in the building... but the people in the back, were amazingly friendly people. I assume the people in the front office are just super busy maybe? Maybe since they are the ones having to deal with annoying customers all the time they are a bit numb? Regardless, I wish them no ill will... they are OK, ... but compared to the people working in the back, there is no contest. The X-Ray tech that was there, he was great also... I still remember him. Anyway, that's my novel. So if you get to this office and the front office workers seem a bit cold and unfriendly, don't worry... because once you do get called back, your experience should be a good one. :) read more

On October 21, 2022 I was scheduled for 2 CT Scans at the Buckeye, AZ location. When I arrived I was told that the approval from my insurance company had not granted yet. The receptionist told me to have a seat while she contacted the insurance company. She called me up to the desk and I listened to her get approval for the Scans. After paying the copay 0f $381.02 they performed the scans. Then some months later I began to get bills from them for payment because 1 of the scans was not approved. After getting these notices for payment several times I was concerned that they would send the bill to a collection agency, so I paid $834.82 on April 10, 2023. I then contacted my insurance company and asked them to look into this. They contacted Simon Med and was told that I should receive a refund for $834.82. And to give then 30 to 45 days to process this claim. I've contacted Simon Med on the following dates: 4-11-2023, 6-5-2023, 6-26-2023, 7-14-2023, and 7-28-2023. Each time I call I pretty much get the same response: "your claim is in review and it will take 30 to 45 days for it to be processed." Obviously just a delaying tactic on their part. I tell them that I will call back in 2 weeks to check, which I'm committed to do until I receive my refund. I've visited this Simon Med in Buckeye, AZ numerous times before for my wife and myself without problems. I will never use Simon Med ever again. 20 20 hindsight I shouldn't have paid the bill and waited until they either dropped it or sent it to collection, but at the time I was more concerned with what would happen to my credit which I have worked very hard to maintain a very high rating. read more

The customer service at the front desk makes you feel like your bothering them. I watched it happen prior to checking in and it was the same when I checked in. As I waited, I observed a women who was upset as others continued to get called back before her. Working in front office, I understood that things like this sometimes happen. 20 min later the same women approached and stated "I asked you how long it would be and you said 20 min, that time has come and gone multiple times." I started to feel slightly worried because I was also told 20 min wait. I am now sitting here 1hr and 20 min later and still waiting. The front desk needs to communicate with their back office so that they can give accurate time frames. I told my baby sitter People have babysitters they have to keep informed, other appointments, and plenty of other life things. Being correct and offering correct information is vital. Reviews about rude staff are absolutely accurate!!! I can only say this place is incredibly difficult to work with. It's obvious this location is more about cattle herding people through the doors than providing ANY level of customer service. It's possible the staff in the back have a better attitude, however, you have to get through the lack of care at the front desk to find that out. I decided to leave before I could find out. It's clear the bogus 5-star reviews are written from someone trying to disprove what others have said time and time again. Had a CT done that was ordered with oral and IV contrast. Techs name was Ken. Attempted to start an IV in my right arm that infiltrated and he had to start another one in my left arm. Was slapping my arm so hard to get the vein to pop up that I had get it out of his grasp. On second attempt apparently the IV was working correctly but as soon as he started the IV contrast, it was burning so bad and he went on to say "yeah it's going to burn like a mother for a little bit" Within seconds, it extravasated into my tissue and left a huge lump. He immediately stopped the IV and left me there on the table with the IV still in my arm to go get the radiologist. The burning sensation was getting so bad that I started screaming and crying in pain. He finally came back and took the IV out. The radiologist was very nice, attentive, and reassuring. She held my arm up and placed an ice pack. In the end, we didn't do the IV contrast and frankly, thank goodness because the tech was horrible at placing IVs. Just be warned. IV contrast can cause TISSUE NECROSIS if leaked into the tissue. Will go to a different location next time if IV contrast is needed. read more

The front desk staff are very rude and unprofessional. I was scheduled for a CT and I showed 2 hours early. I asked if I was able to be seen early because I work 12 hours night shifts and worried about my safety driving on the road. Initially the older lady was helpful and was agreeable to my situation and told me I could get in early. Fast forward 2 hours later and I am passing out in the lobby while both of the receptionist just stares at me. Not to mention every person that came in the door was taken right in with minimal wait. I just go to the desk and ask to get rescheduled because I clearly wont be seen early or at my appointment time. They reschedule me for 3 WEEKS later. I show up at my appointment 20 minutes early this time and I am handed paperwork, but I refuse because I have completed them at the last encounter, I had with them. The girl has an attitude and throws clipboard on the counter and states its required for every visit. I fill it out and go to take it back and she leaves me standing in line because they both clearly don't want to deal with me. Just an UNWELCOMING place and the room where I had to change my clothes was an overflowing hamper of dirty robes. Smelled worse than a boys locker room. Worse care you will ever receive hands down. I made four different appointments with this company, to have a simple Mammogram done, and they canceled each appointment due to low staff, and a technicality with the appointment being scheduled. I just got home from my appointment and I had no issues. The front desk was friendly and the Tech was very professional. My appointment was very early so I didn't have to wait. If I could give a negative number, I would! My doctor ordered an x-ray of my heel and sent it to SimonMed Imaging on Sunday. It was sent through the electronic medical record. I went in on Monday around noon and they told me that there wasn't an order. Then they gave me a cock-in-bull story about how faxes take sometimes 24 hours to come into their system. Having worked in healthcare for 42 years, I decided not to challenge her (no one except long-term care still uses faxes), but I told the receptionist that I would reach out to my provider again for the order. When I did, she told me that she put in the order the same time she messaged me and encouraged me to call back to make sure they have the order. I called the scheduler and was told there wasn't an order; she then put me on hold and said she would call my provider and take a verbal order. She came back on the line 5 minutes later and told me that the order was there and was incorrectly put into their system on their end. She asked if I would like to make an appointment, I said yes and she scheduled me for about 30 minutes later. I arrived 15 minutes early for the appointment as suggested only to be told that their x-ray machine was down and had been down for half the day. I told her I just was given the appointment and she said that the schedulers don't know that their machine is down!!! WTF. No wonder SimonMed gets such bad reviews (at all of their locations). Maybe their CEO should read the Yelp reviews and figure out how to run a company!! read more

This place sucks! The front office girls are pure rude and lazy!!! They will make you stand there and wait for them to finish their bs conversation about what they did over the weekend or wait while they are texting. Every time I've been in for an X-ray I'm told by these two "well it will be at least an hour". it doesn't matter if I'm the only one in the building or there's 10. I've had a knee issue with 3 surgeries the last 22 months so I've had to have a lot of X-ray. it has gotten so bad I now drive to Goodyear office instead of Buckeye which is only 1/2 mile from my house. If you ever get past the two rude idiots at the front desk the X-ray tech is amazing! I bet if they got rid of those two and replaced them with anyone else or someone as amazing as the X-ray tech they would not have any complaints or issues. read more

Simon med absolutely sucks! Young lady in the office was nice to text or nice. It's the actual office I guess I don't know the people that do the authorizations. They don't know anything I schedule you for a test at a location and then have to tell you the day before oh sorry that location doesn't take your insurance. So then they schedule us for a different location and then tell me that both exams were not authorized I'm telling you they don't know who's doing what where. And that happened for my son and myself. And then while we were sitting here in the office there was a man that got very upset he was mad because he should've been given a liquid he needed to swallow that takes 45 minutes and he had already been waiting here for over a half an hour he was very angry and walked out. And I did take my son somewhere else to get his exam and both of them Were authorized and approved by the insurance company. Whatever you do don't try calling because you'll never get through. My wife came in for a CT and was nervous about the whole thing. But as soon as we walked in we were greeted by front desk and Angelica with big smiles and warm hearts. This is NOT the first time for this to happen to them. Then they tell u that the repair person is 1.5 hours away. Then they reschedule u. Then they hire TOTAL incompetent people working the front desk who have NO CLUE about insurance. People CONSTANTLY AND CONSISTENTLY being rescheduled. He drives the 25 minutes to our nearest SimonMed here in Buckeye at 3:00 on Friday only to be rudely told it would be at least a two hour wait and would he come back Monday for a quicker wait time. He told the girl he would wait. She rolled her eyes and rudely told him to have a seat. They called him back just under an hour later. They just didn't want to help him that late in the day. This isn't the first time something has happened. We drove in after calling first and being told to come in, only to be told their ultra-sound machine wasn't working. Terrible customer service in reception area. Just want to say the actual x-ray techs are very nice. read more

This place is horrible. The worst feeling I have ever had walking out of a place like this. Front desk Staff are rude and seem like they are miserable with their jobs . Went to get an ultrasound of my child which is suppose to be a special moment and it seemed rushed and unpersonal. I didn't even get to see my Child on the monitor. I'm having a child come on. What ever happened to compassion and humanity. This being my second child I have never felt this way before. I will not be returning to this place and advise choose wisely ppl. If you want to just be another number this is the place to be. At the end of it all I was given a dvd for me to view and it does not even work. I typically do not give reviews, but this is the second time I'm giving a negative review to SimonMed Imaging. About a month and a half ago, I contacted the scheduler at SimonMed to make an appointment for a mammogram. They gave me an appointment for 09/06/21 at 10:00 AM. I received confirmation of the appointment and the day before, I received a text request to check-in before the appointment and complete the form. I provided the information and submitted it. The next morning I received another text advising me of a co-pay and a link to submit when I arrived for the appointment. I arrived 10 minutes early as requested only to find the office closed. I called and was told that the office was closed because it was a holiday--I KNOW IT'S A HOLIDAY, WHY DID YOU GIVE ME AN APPOINTMENT WHEN YOU ARE CLOSED??? I was told that I would need to make another appointment!! Seriously?! Believe it or not, I got another text the next day asking me to submit a review of my visit. Someone needs to figure out how their electronic software works. This is the worst healthcare company I have ever experienced and I've been in healthcare management for over 30 years. It is a disgrace to the health and safety of patients that this company operates this way. Rude technicians and not attentive to the patients needs. Had 2 MRI'S on the same day, tech didn't even ask me how I was during the test. I have had them before there and the tech would be sure to keep me updated during the testing. This guy didn't even ask me if I was ok. It's a closed MRI and that is a little scary. read more

I have been trying to schedule an appointment since Friday of last week, it is now Tuesday and so far I've gotten no where. I did manage to speak with someone yesterday after 38 minutes of being on hold. I need to be seen for a mammogram and when asked the question "do you have any pain, lumps or discharge?" and answering YES to two of the three questions I was hung up on...FYI I'm writing this as I sit on hold yet another day so far my hold time is 20 minutes...If the service is anything like the appointment setting stay far away. read more
