This location for getting any type of imaging is okay. The reception isn't the friendliest. They assume you speak Spanish most of the time, which can be irritating. However, the radiologists and sonographers have always been very friendly and warm. They don't make you feel less than and take care of you. The wait for your appointment can vary. I always get there 15 minutes early and have all paperwork pre-filled before my appointment, and most of the time you will wait around thirty, forty-five, or even nearly an hour before you are seen. For example, my appointment was yesterday at 9:00 AM. I got there around 8:45 AM. I was not seen until 10:20 AM. read more

This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had with Simon Med Imaging. Today, my wife had an appointment at 11:00 a.m. for a bone density procedure. Simon Med had been in possession of her referral for weeks, so we expected everything to be in order before arriving for the appointment. We waited for an hour without being called. I finally went to the front desk to ask why my wife had not been seen. The front desk staff member told me that they were running behind and that my wife would be called shortly. We waited another hour, and I went back to the front desk again. At that point, I told them that if my wife could not be seen, we would have to leave because she is a diabetic and did not have anything to eat. Shortly afterward, my wife was finally called to the back, only to be told by a staff member that Simon Med did not have the equipment necessary to perform the procedure she was referred for. We waited two hours only to be told that the procedure could not be performed. This is completely UNACCEPTABLE!!! If Simon Med had reviewed the referral beforehand and determined that the necessary equipment was not available at this location, someone should have contacted us and told us not to come in. Instead, we spent two hours waiting unnecessarily, despite the fact we are in our 90's and getting around is not easy for us. This was a tremendous waste of our time and extremely frustrating. Patients deserve better communication, organization, and consideration. I expect Simon Med to take responsibility for what happened and explain why we were allowed to come in for an appointment when the facility could not perform the procedure in the first place. I called to schedule an appointment with Simonmed Imaging at 208 W Oaks street Kissimmee, FL. After the appointment was confirmed I received several emails asking to go online to fill out couple forms which I did. On the day of the appointment I arrived 20 minutes early and got an email asking to "click here" to checkin. Then I had to check in again at the front desk and given the paper forms to fill out which are exact the same forms that I filled out online couple days earlier. After I return the forms to the lady and was told to seat and wait. One hour later my name was called and asked did I sign in and where were the forms. At this time I was like you must be kidding me. I was told that because I didn't sign in that why they miss me even though I had went through all the check-ins. This is bad procedure bad service in my opinion. read more

Simon Med does not do right by the customer or patient with a referral for a MRI of the head and they played the game about authorization for the MRI the whole time giving the patient excuses the whole time why they have not got the authorization for the MRI. They are a very poor company and only care about the money than patients now. I would recommend no one to use this company for any service because they do not care about people at all. My suggestion is go to other organizations to get them services from referrals from doctors in Kissimmee. There customer service sucks and they are not there for the people at all. read more

My last review was three stars because of the front desk front of house perception, but I have to say since my three star review a lot has changed there and for the better. Check in process was smooth. The employees actually seem to have been working and not speaking or doing other things and all patients who walked up to the desk were spoken to with empathy and acknowledged. Went to this imaging place for my appointment and asked the front desk if they do the Dexa scan. I was told there is no one to do the scan, but to write my name, and she will reschedule me. Another lady at the front desk called me later on, only to find out that I have to go to the other imaging place, about 3 minutes away. For real!!! She, the first front desk person, does not know that??? She could have told me that earlier instead of wasting my time sitting there and being late for my appointment. Inefficient workers!!! The tech was nice, helpful and personable, but he cost me valuable time. I went in Wed at 2PM. After filling out all my paperwork, was told there was a 1-hour wait. I rescheduled for Saturday at 8AM. My technician (open MRI) arrived at 8:20AM, and I was not seen until 8:30AM. Perhaps this is standard for the medical field. If I could give zero stars , I would incompetent staff supervisor Andres, pretends to be the office manager. The office manager does not answer any calls and does not return any calls. His name is Jason Castillo. This site and I'm sure all others have no idea how to run an office nor how to handle authorizations.We had authorization for 2 days, provided the facts authorization.The image and contacted the insurance company who spoke to the supervisor Andres to provide the authorization for both procedures argumentative that there were not any appointments 2 procedures even though we showed the txt we received from the site. When you request the district manager's name, they tell you there's no district manager. There are no corporate phone numbers. There is nobody that we can speak to. This is strategically done so that you don't complain, and they do nothing about the issue. You have to constantly remind them that you are there. And what is happening in order to be seen, we were here at a quarter to 8 in the morning for a 8 o'clock appointment. And because of the incompetence not brought in until almost 10:30 am. They will cancel your appointments claiming no authorization on file. And when you provide the authorization, they place you back in. Then you show up to your appointment and once again they say no appointment on file until you show the proof and then they put you back in needed to say 2 hours wasted because the staff is not trained properly, which is not surprising when the manager himself is not present nor responds to any calls. I have been getting my xrays here for years.The employees are nice and the facility is kept clean.The wait time is usually not very long.

It is the worst place I have been regarding insurance verification and call center experience. My insurance requires only a copay, but the place is asking me to pay the full price. I explained to them how my insurance works, they reverified, and the result came back saying my benefit doesn't kick in even though they are listed as an in-network provider. I called my insurance and confirmed I was right; I should pay a $150 copay. My insurance agent tried to do a three-way call to help them verify my payment, but the number listed doesn't work. When I got home, I called the call center, and they were anything but helpful. I was placed on hold for 45 minutes and transferred from department to department, but no one had a clue about insurance. If you want to have a good experience with your payment at this place, make sure you have a copy from your insurance company stating how much you should pay. They have no idea how insurance works. read more

I've used them for years but recently had a problem with billing. I have Medicare and BC/BS as a supplement. In 2022, my pulmonologist ordered a chest CT scan. A nodule was discovered that did not appear to be a problem, however, annual follow up CT scan were recommended to monitor the condition. In March, my pulmonologist ordered a follow u CT scan. Simon Med's radiologist compared the two scans and found no changes. However, Simon Med submitted the bill for $756.00 to Medicare and called it a "Routine Cancer Screening." Medicare does not pay for routine CT scans. Simon Med started billing me. I called their business office THREE TIMES and was assured, each time, that there was an error in coding the procedure as a follow up. I was told, each time, to disregard the bills. In the meantime, I have received a Explanation of Benefits from MEDICARE stating that I do not owe this bill. Nevertheless, Simon Med keeps billing me and has now threatened to turn me over to collections if I don't pay immediately. I actually don't know if this is a question of stupidity or if Simon Med is running a scam. Whichever it is, I will no longer use their services. Be careful. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. SimonMed is a horrible business. I don't know why they have patients make appointments because they never take you on time. I've never waited less than 2 hours for my appointment. I've had appointments cancelled 30 minutes before the appointment because SimonMed did not follow the insurance company policies of getting authorization. I've been to appointments and found out later by the insurance company they are not covering the procedure because SimonMed did not obtain authorization. My final procedure with SimonMed, I scheduled it 3 weeks in advance so they could obtain all necessary authorizations. Every week I called my insurance company then SimonMed because SimonMed still had not contacted the insurance company for the necessary authorization. I'd like to think because of my constant calling and the insurance company calling SimonMed, I finally received my authorization the day before my appointment. Fortunately, my insurance company gave me a listing of other businesses that I can use for imaging services and I'll never have to endure SimonMed again. If you like dealing with rude employees and waiting hours after your scheduled appointment, you should have your imaging done at SimonMed! I do not see a need to speak with a SimonMed business manager. I've visited multiple SimonMed locations ever since SimonMed replaced Drew Medical and the horrible service has never improved. this review is for Simon Med as a company, Not just the location. my doctor prescribed me two imaging studies, and since my deductible was not met for the end of the year, I decided not to schedule in December and wait till January which was OK with my doctor. However, Simon Med did not stop calling me, texting me for the two 2 weeks preceding my call to have them stop, and I chose a different provider. Their persistence and badgering and calling is ridiculous for medical company. They seem like they are desperate for business, which is never good for medical business. I had to bring my kid here for a chest x-ray and when I looked it up I found they did not take appointments for them. We showed up in the morning and there was a small group of people there but they handled things quickly and efficiently. Checking in was really easy and once we filled out the paperwork there was only a short wait before they called us into the back. We waited while they finished with another patient and then they brought us in and it only took a few minutes to do the x-rays. I asked for a copy on disc and they said no problem. They had a suede out front and less than 5 minutes later they brought it out to us and we were on our way. All in all it was a very good experience and now we just have to wait for the doctor to determine what to do next. read more

I was a walk in for an x-ray, and the young lady that greeted me and took my paperwork was fantastic. She was pleasant, knowledgeable, and accommodating. This was around 7 AM on Friday, October 6, 2023 and she apologize that she didn't have change. Well, I have the exact amount to pay for the x-ray. The x-ray technician was just as nice and I felt very comfortable. Called to make my appointment said they could get me in at the end of October...umm NO not acceptable! Checked several other locations with no luck. Finally was able to get an appointment for 2 weeks later. Then here comes Hurricane Ian. Called to see what I should do. The message on the phone said they would be calling to reschedule patients in a FEW WEEKS...umm no not acceptable. A very nice lady Beatrice helped me get worked in at the Kissimmee office. Get there get checked in only to be refused service because it was too close to my regular mammogram. WHAT?! They said my dr should have wrote the mammogram like a regular mammogram and didn't want to listen to anything I had to say. So needless to say I was very angry and upset and was not very nice. Long story short called my dr office and they were not happy. Said I would get a call before 3:30 to see if the location would be open on 9/28 do I could be seen. It's 7:20 and I still haven't gotten a call. Very seriously doubt I'll ever go back. The only reason I wanted to go there was because they had my records. I arrived for my appointment at 7:29 AM and stood for three minutes before the receptionist informed me that I needed to check in. This information would have been helpful to know as soon as I walked in, especially since there was no signage directing patients. The woman who assisted me at the back desk was friendly. After a 15-minute wait, she called my name and handed me the paperwork to fill out. I was called for my MRI at 8:20 AM, which went smoothly. The technician was very friendly and professional, making the experience much more pleasant. However, after the MRI, I was instructed to go to the front desk to request a CD of my exam for my doctor. When I arrived at the front, I was told to check back in. I waited another 20 minutes just to say I needed the CD for today's exam, which was frustrating. The receptionist told me it would take five minutes to prepare the CD. I believe the service should be more proactive; the staff had seen me and knew I was there, so why instruct me to check back in? Additionally, if patients are advised to arrive early for paperwork, it should ideally be ready for us to fill out, rather than having to wait 10-15 minutes only to wait another 20 minutes to be seen. Overall, my experience was disappointing. I wouldn't recommend getting an MRI at this location. read more

I have 14 years of experience with a non profit healthcare system and all of my training and experience has been that patients come first. After two separate visits this week to Oak and Miranda locations I can say there is a definite difference between the two locations but the prevalent attitude of SImon Med is that the patient is not first which is manifested by the office staff in both locations. Miranda is less contentious. However, The Oak location was a zoo and that is putting it nicely. They had no patient flow in any orderly fashion. The office staff was obviously unhappy both by actions and words. I saw more than one rude interaction to patients that surprised me and felt bad for the two patients who were obviously frustrated and angry by the treatment they received. Nothing was private. At Oak you could hear office staff even arguing in Spanish in unfriendly tones. From my observation and experience in Clinic management, the redundancy of the patient check-in processes at Simon Med is inefficient and unrelated to modern lean medicine that I used when working in healthcare. I saw over 10 different ways that processes could be improved both for staff and for patients. Glassdoor reviews from former employees say it all. Simon Med is ripe for union organizing even in Florida from what I read. if the patients who are frustrated read Glassdoor, you can bet SEIU is reading the same reviews. granted I come from the organized NW, but I still see the signs of unhappy staff and poorly managed clinics. Simon med used to be my preferred imaging center. Not anymore. The last four times I have had to go there have been terrible. The lines are incredibly long, the wait times can be hours and the lobby is so uncomfortable! They tell you in advance that you need to fill out your paperwork online, but when you get there you have to fill out the paperwork in person because then they tell you that the online Version doesn't actually get used and you have to do it all over again. Three out of the four times they tried to tell me that they didn't have an order from the doctor, but when another employee would come out to try and help the front the orders would miraculously be found. So basically, my issue is long lines, having to fill out the same paperwork multiple times, inability of staff to locate orders and too many people crammed into a the uncomfortable waiting room. read more

My doctor ordered a MRI STAT, I've been calling Simonmed since yesterday Jun 15th at 9:30am and nobody was able to schedule it. I have a pacemaker implanted and they say that only person who could schedule it is Mercedes Boustos. I already talked to 4 different people, left more than one voice message on Mercedes voice mail, had to repeatedly give all my information ( name, address, phone number, insurance etc.) and until this moment Jun 16th 2:30pm I still waiting for someone to call me back.
