I don't think i've ever written a bad review but I called today on 12/20/25 and spoke to the receptionist working today at noon. I told her which service I needed and explained that I just moved from california so I can't get an order yet and asked if it was possible to get what I needed without. she laughed at me with the most condescending tone and said no and that this isn't california. I explained that with my situation i'm concerned it doesn't seem appropriate to be laughing at me for just asking questions to see my options. I then asked what her name was and she hung up on me and i've been on hold for 40+ minutes since.. Deceptive, Disorganized, and Disrespectful - Avoid RAYUS Radiology at All Costs We had an emergency MRI scheduled at RAYUS Radiology Turkey Lake, only to be called last-minute and told our appointment was canceled due to a software update. They rescheduled us to their Maitland location, assuring us it was the only available option. After driving nearly an hour to Maitland, we arrived only to be told the MRI machine was down. No call. No warning. Just more wasted time and frustration. The situation got even worse. We drove back to the Turkey Lake office, where the lie quickly unraveled. The front desk staff was shocked to hear that the MRI machine there was supposedly "down"--because patients were actively waiting in the lobby for their scans. The truth? We were lied to. They overbooked, bumped us off the schedule, and used the Maitland redirect as a cover. Unfortunately for them, their lie backfired--and we caught it. Meanwhile, the Maitland staff looked overwhelmed and helpless. Lillian, the person assisting us, kept saying "I just work here," while visibly distressed. She attempted to reschedule us again--this time back at Turkey Lake--but said the next available wasn't for another two weeks, despite the MRI being marked as emergency. As a final insult, they tried to hand us a gas card--as if that would somehow make up for the sheer negligence, disregard for patient urgency, and complete failure in basic communication and professionalism. This isn't just poor service--it's a breach of trust in a healthcare setting. If your systems are broken, your staff disjointed, and your communication nonexistent, you should not be handling urgent diagnostics. Patients deserve better. I miss SandLake Imaging. I signed in prior to my appointment time and watched several people be checked in who came in after me. I tried to be patient and give them the benefit of the doubt, but after sitting there for 30 minutes, I finally had to ask what was going on. My paperwork seemed to have been set aside and no one bothered to pick it back up. Then I had to wait another 30 minutes before my screening. I never had to wait like that when it was SandLake. This was my first visit after the change of owners. I won't be back. Just an FYI, the technician was very nice and I have zero complaints with that, just the front of office disorganization. read more

Sand Lake Imaging used to be great place. Now that Rayus has taken over it's very unorganized, not to mention it looks like dump now too. They kept calling me when I was out of town to schedule an appointment for a mammogram. When I returned home they called me again and I scheduled one with them. I wanted to make sure that they accepted my insurance and they said that they did. When I arrived and checked in they told that my appointment had been canceled! When I asked who canceled it they told me they did cause they are not a provider with my insurance. No phone call to let me know ahead of time, unbelievable!!!! I have been to Sand Lake imaging for years for my mammogram. However, they sold or renamed the place to Rayus and now they are out of my network. I wasn't informed before I went for my mammogram about the insurance changes nor was I informed on the day of my visit of how much I had to pay after they received all my insurance info beforehand. I received a $544 bill a couple of months after my mammogram which should've been free, informing me they are not in my provider's network. Unethical business! Go Somewhere else! read more

Maybe I'm lucky but my two experiences here were FINE. Wait for my appointment time was reasonable (under 20 minutes) and no issues with the procedure. In & out. BAM! Called about getting copy of scan results and was told I can come in to pick up after 6am. Showed up today for pick up and in 15 minutes, I'm back on my way with info in hand. read more

I agree with Linda D's review from 5/27/2023. Sand Lake Imaging was great. When I went to Rayus for the first time on 6/14/2023 (weekday, mid-morning) to get an ultrasound, it was the exact opposite. There were eight women in the women's waiting area where there used to be three. I frequently checked as to why I wasn't being called and was told she'd check, there were "only two technicians," or "I will message her." One patient said they were very late calling her. Another told me she was 30 minutes past her appt. time. AN HOUR past my appt time, I told them I was cancelling. When I summarized this at the reception desk, one person apologized but another said something about the two technicians. You know what? That's not the patient's problem. Department that handles incoming orders from doctors and orthopedic offices is incompetent. A major office in Orlando faxed over new orders for my treatment 3x. It has still not been added to my account and 3 weeks have passed. There are no supervisors or managers available to help figure out what the issue is and why when a fax says it is received on the other end just disappears. If I had not already started there I would leave in a second. Will not return if I am able to finish my procedures. read more

After they and insurance company negotiated a rate, and I met my financial responsibility, they continue to bill me hundreds of dollars, citing the financial responsibility waiver, which is a standard form in any medical setting. Called them up and found out the radiologist had not signed off and hasn't been sent to my gyn yet so now another few days this happens all the time here and if I didn't follow up it would have just been in their system unread! I submit a copy of my mammography over two weeks and I been going to pick up the results 4 times and every day is a new excuse and is never ready I am having a surgery next week and need the results. I request to talk to the manager and she came all smiling take me to her office and mention me that they do it at that moment, I still waiting my results and I don't even received a call or an email as a courtesy as a customer service. I never write reviews and when I start to read the reviews this office is one start review I just wonder what this company is waiting to do for all patient because everyone can go to Diagnostic Image 5 minutes from sand lake image locations. I liked this place enough when it was Sand Lake Imaging. Now that it is Rayyus Radiology it has become much worse in terms of communication, scheduling, and general courtesy and politeness when dealing with patients. I do want to highly commend Francine who I believe is one of the radiology technicians - she was the only person I interacted with who was kind, compassionate, respectful, and made me feel safe and secure which is very important when one is getting medical treatment. Francine is extraordinary. Although Francine was great, no one else was, and I will not be returning to any Rayyus facility in the future. read more

Here in Altamonte on Maitland Ave was our first visit for my wife. We where going to go to the another location because of the poor reviews here. But because of time we went here instead the staff is very friendly and very courteous. We arrived 30mins early and they took us early. This place is ran as a smooth well oil crew that knows what they are doing. Our family has been trying to get our spunky but sick father into this facility to have his bone marrow tested. It has taken months and when we finally got an appointment, we all looked forward to getting some answers and finding some help. The day before his appointment, they cancelled due to "not having the medicine". When we called to inquire why this just came up and how we could schedule him asap, they were horribly rude, cold, uncaring, and seemed to disregard our concern for his life. No helpful information or concern about a reschedule. Our comments and questions were calm and in no way accusatory but we were treated like another annoying patient. We've never been treated so poorly. Shame on them for their disregard for people who need the help. read more

Went there for a mammogram today. Everyone was Ok, nothing outstanding, but the clerk who check people in for mammograms was one of the rudest person I've ever seen. And not only to me. An elderly patient after me asked for help with a form and she shout "I can't, I have to check people in, see?!" Disgusting. Another patient jumped and help the poor lady. I am a healthy patient, I can't imaging being sick and scare and step up into that small office with that rude woman. April, 2019 - I did a Breast Biopsy this week. From the front desk, through payment to the procedure I would like to commend this unit. I was nervous about having to do a biopsy but the staff was excellent. Before, during and after the biopsy procedure I was treated with care by the technicians and nurses. I would like to thank and especially congratulate Andrea who held my hand calming me with a smile during the procedure, as well as Anna who explained the procedure carefully and Doctor Patty who was the one who made the biopsy. After the biopsy I had to make two more pictures with Rebecca who took care of the biopsy site so it would not hurt during the imaging exam. I have done imaging and other procedures on this unit for over 10 years and would like to congratulate them on their team. Continue to take care of patients. ***UPDATE*** I was contacted by Sand Lake Imaging about my experience below on March, 2019. They apologized and will take further actions. I do appreciate their call and I will continue to make my images over there. March, 2019 - Today I came to make an additional mammogram and to my surprise I was attended with extreme rudeness at the Changing Room by a employee named Jessie. A tremendous lack of professionalism. I really hope this terrible service does not happen again. However I would like to congratulate Doctor Frye for her kindness in explaining the need for me to have to do other procedures. I give four stars because for the past 10 years most of my images have been done at Sand Lake Imaging (Orlando) and the service provided from the front desk to the technicians were always courteous. Don't waste your time coming to this incompetent location. This is our second appointment here and the first time they were extremely far behind. Today we called at 5:40 prior to my husbands 6:30 appointment and were told not to be late. At 6:15 when almost there they called us to say they were running at least an hour behind. Even a first grader should be able to do the math.... clearly they were already behind at our first phone call. Upon arrival they were very casual and not at all concerned that we were going to be inconvenienced yet again due to their incompetence. I'm not sure what qualifications they look for in their hiring but their staff is not on top of things. Aside from that the location has an odor and feels dirty. If you don't want to ruin your Credit Report, don't waste your time coming to Sandlake Imaging, they told me that they will going to bill my insurance first and then the rest will be billed to me and they will send it to me by mail. Then come to find out that I got ding on my Credit Report but they never ever sent me any bill/statement and they didn't attempt to collect by mail, email and no call from them which they're supposed to give me notice. And now they sold it to a collection agency which affect my credit report big time. Now, I was trying to contact the business but no one answer their telephone. I was so upset to see my credit which I've been building very hard and they ruined it, I could've pay the full amount but they never attempt to contact me. So now I'm in mercy of trying to get in touch with Sandlake Imaging ang guess what "I'm sorry, We can't help you with that" you should pay to the collection agency, this is messed up. Let's face it.... nobody likes getting their annual mammograms. Sand Lake Imaging took the stress off by making the process as easy as possible. As soon as you walk in the front door there is a lovely receptionist welcoming you. She hands you a clip board with your papers attached and instructs you to follow the pink ribbons painted on the floor to your destination. Once you arrive at the waiting area for mammograms another receptionist asks you to update and sign your papers. Afterwards you change into a hospital top and place your belongings in a locker. Within minutes I was called back to start the "process." I walked out of Sand Lake Imaging twenty minutes after I arrived. read more

Thank God for Yelp. I had such an amazing experience at Sandlake imaging at the Maitlen office but the turkey lake office is so much closer so I decided to schedule an appointment. However, I did not think to read the reviews until I pulled up in the parking lot. I got nervous when I saw the low ratings, but I knew what I needed to do when I walked into the office, which is to see how long the wait was and to reschedule straightaway. I arrived 30 minutes early for my appointment, and I immediately asked how long the wait was, which I was told an hour. The woman at the front desk also asked me, in front of in a packed room of people, "you do have breast implants right?" I was a little caught off guard by the question, And that needed to be disclosed at the front desk. I do understand the relevance, however because I am going in for a mammogram. If you must know, I don't have breast implants, doesn't matter that yelp knows because apparently everyone in the waiting room knows as well. Sure I may have lost some time by coming to the office, but when someone says there is an hour wait, the wait is much longer in reality. So I'm happy I didn't make myself miserable and stay in the waiting room feeling really horribly. I just immediately scheduled an appointment for the Maitland office and Left. This is the worst place to go get your imaging done. I got a phone call that I needed to come in for a follow up ultrasound, I'm trusting the person that's calling me that they know what they are doing, only to find out when I come to the appointment that it was scheduled on error because the person did not read correctly. Wasted 3 hours of my time waiting to be called to then be told it was an error, missed time from work and Over an hour drive to get there...and they didn't even have a doctor there to follow up to confirm if a second ultrasound would be needed nor a manger on staff to report the person who scheduled me wrong. I will never get imaging done with this place. Go somewhere else if you can help it!! read more

The only star they can get is for the imaging equipment! This place is horrible! They are largely unprepared for the volume of patients they see. There is a dysfunctional assembly line feel to this place...I was rushed out of one room and hurried into another...shuffled here and there without being given instructions or being apprised of what was going on. Once inside the MRI machine I had an involuntary coughing fit because of laying immobile on my back for so long and was asked not "to do that". I was told that if I needed to cough again I'd have to wait... Worst experience ever. Schedule your procedures elsewhere. There's no compassion or "bedside manner" here. read more
