They seem to double bill, or they have a horrible billing methods. I paid my bill in full for a March 19th, MRI, they sent me an invoice for the difference that the insurance company did not pay. I had a pleasant experience at Simon Medical in Oviedo. Went in for a mammogram. Staff at the front desk were very kind an efficient. My wait was not long at all. About 10 minutes. My lab technician was very kind. Explained the procedure. I was in and out in no time. I'm not sure of the negative reviews. I'll definitely be returning! read more

My wife had an appointment for an ultrasound. We arrived ten minutes early, sat down in the waiting room, and waited to be called. Our appointment time came and went. Numerous people came in after us, and were called in to be serviced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After a while I went to the desk, and asked if they forgot about my wife's appointment. The receptionist said that she was next.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went back to my seat and watched people go in, again, who were just arriving. At this point the door to the back opens again, and someone else was called. I asked this lady, what was going on with my wife's appointment. This lady tells me that my wife is next. After half an hour, my wife was finally called. This was over an hour and a half past our appointment time. My wife told me that the technician told her that they were double booked all day long. What a way to run a business. We have to find another place for imaging services. As an anecdote, they had the tv in the waiting room tuned to a channel that showed old sitcoms. When we walked in, we watched The Mary Tyler Moore Show, then we were treated to Happy Days, then the ever popular Laverne And Shirley, lastly we were treated to The Love Boat. An entire tv marathon, AFTER our appointed time. Unbelievable, yet true. Find another place to go, the way this place operates is unacceptable ! read more

It is always my first choice when told I must have a radiology procedure for a problem. This time I was extremely anxious and tempted to live through the stabbing abdominal spasms longer and reschedule. Came in for my first ever CT scan. I arrived about 15 mins early which gave me time to fill out the minimal paperwork. The young lady that checked me in was pleasant. There was a woman there in the waiting room that was actually kind of rude to her because of a delay with her appt and she handled that well. I was called in for my appt by Tracy right on time and she made the whole process easy and not scary at all. I was in and out very quickly. I went to this location for an echocardiogram. The check in process was easy and they sent me several reminders and links via email and text. I was able to fill out any pre appointment paperwork in advance. The billing department was able to inform me of my copay prior to my appointment so there were no surprises. My appointment was on time so there was no waiting around for 30+ minutes. The room was standard but the tech made me feel comfortable and at ease. read more

another bad experience with Simonmed imaging at Oviedo Florida on Red bug lake road. I had routine Memogram on February 11. within half an hour they called me to tell me to make another appointment for Memogram. I came in for a CT scan with & without contrast. Check-in was quick. I was called back right away - no wait. My nurse was Tracy. She did everything possible to make me comfortable. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. If you have to get a CT scan, I highly recommend the Oviedo location. I had a previous appointment at the Waterford Lakes location. Everything about Waterford Lakes is ghetto - the location in a low end strip mall, the parking, the traffic at the Waterford Lake mall is appalling. The check-in wanted me to pay in advance - even though I have awesome insurance. The waiting room was FULL. I left without completing the appointment, hoping that another location would be a better experience, and it was. Everyone at the Oviedo location was professional and helpful. read more

I am not at all surprised by the previous bad reviews and wish I had checked before I agreed to have them switch me to this location. I checked in online and was told to walk right up to the desk. One girl was helping another customer and a second girl stared at me, did not say a word, then went back to her work. I mean what on earth? You can't acknowledge me or welcome me and say the other girl will check you in? Then when the girl helping the customer freed up she rudely confirmed my check in. I also want to mention they make a big deal online, email, and text as well as sign on the door about needing a mask and NONE of the employees wore one. I felt like an alien. Then when it was time for my scan the person who took me back was very personable but handed me a gown to change in to that was too small and frankly the experience was embarrassing. They ask you your height and weight about 3 times including on the phone when making your appointment so I should have been given appropriate dressing. I will NEVER be back and my doctor will have to find a different imaging center to send me. read more

About the worst experience. Ms Machin at the front desk was ignorant and incompetent. Rarely have we had to deal with such a little general of the desk. Finally after 20 minutes we had everything they requested, but then little general decided her ego overruled all medical needs. Sad to see someone like this in healthcare. They should at least have some basic knowledge of what they request. For cases of nostalgia, you can go here where they may be the only doctor that does not accept electronic orders. Even though they admitted they had them, they demanded imaged paper as well. read more

The techs in the back are absolutely great no problems in the back area! The one front office employee checking you in was rude. I walked in without a mask it was in my hand I was rushing and hadn't the time to put it on yet and the girl sitting behind the desk stuck out her hand behind the plexiglass with a mask in her hand glared at me & never said a word until and I said I have one and she said "put it on" she was extremely rude & it could have been handled much better. Do not go here. They overcharged me for my visit and after 4 months they still have not paid me back. I got insurance involved, so they were sure to pay insurance right away; however, they have not yet paid me. I have called over 6 times and each time they have acknowledged they owe me the money and that they have escalated the issue so I can get paid, but then never do. They have no intentions of paying me back. I have even asked to have a supervisor involved and they told me that the supervisor was not in for the day yet, even though it was 11am. They then said that they were going to have the supervisor call me back the same day, but they didn't even ask for the number to call me back at. I had to remind them to take my number. read more

The 1st appointment I made back in Oct. 2021, I called to confirm that they had everything they needed from the doctor/insurance before my son's appointment the following week. They said he was all set. On the day of the appointment, they said "we do not have the order from the doctor". Although they were able to get them to fax it over; I decided to reschedule as we had already wasted 45 minutes. His appointment was rescheduled for April 2021. What an awkward encounter as we approached the front desk that day. One receptionist was ignoring the other, because she was calling her multiple times by a name that wasn't hers (How is it that the 2 receptionists did not know each other's name???). We also observed multiple people leaving unhappy because of issues with their appointments. We were told to arrive @ 9:30 am for his 10 am appointment. He was not called back until 10:32 am. The star given goes to the nice tech that helped my son. I asked when his imaging CD would be available and the receptionist said "at the end of the day". I opted to pick it up a different day instead of driving back that evening. I called to verify that it was indeed available multiple times during the week (to not waste gas and time), to pick it up. I left voicemails as it is extremely difficult/nearly impossible to get a human on the phone with this company. No one called back. Also the recommended prompt to schedule online for "fast and easy" service was LONG and TEDIOUS! The prompt suggests you to dial #1 for a call back instead of waiting on the phone. Again, no one called back. It was all in all a frustrating experience to just schedule an appointment and to speak to someone in person for information. Nothing is customer/user friendly. Scheduled this appointment, several weeks ago, and was told to be there 30 minutes in advance. Got there at 730 AM today and absolutely no one was there. Sat in the parking lot waiting, then went and checked the door even though there was no lights and the door was unlocked. Didn't see anyone so I walked out. Then saw some lights so I went back in, and no one was at the front desk so I sat. When the person came to the front they were not expecting me and asked was the door open? I said yes. No one showed up until 8AM for the front desk. Waited as they hadn't even finalized with my insurance company to see how much I had to pay. Finally, was taken back when the tech ended up trying both of my arms since they couldn't get the contrast in. Never have I had this problem, truly untrained individual. Then on top of everything, they couldn't even give me a printed receipt, as there printer isn't working? How much money are they making, is it that little that you can't even get your printer fixed? Also, was told the maximum time I would be there was 1.5 hours, yet I was there for 2 hours. They do not respect you, they don't respect your time, and truly unprofessional staff. read more

I returned to this location after an absolutely horrible experience here last year for mammography because of its proximity to my home. The equipment is very good but the administration/office process remains full of drama. On the best side, however, my mammography tech, Vanessa Gonzalez was BEYOND the best ever!! So very knowledgeable about the equipment, the review process and so very gracious on top of it all. She made my experience there yesterday absolutely wonderful! read more

I went to the redbug location, first the wanted to charge me up front for part of the service, I told them I had an special acct that they can take for out of pocket, I had to call my insurance and have them explain to them how to process it, then after that they refuse to the exam that the doctor had ordered, saying that I had to do another test first, when I call the insurance they were shocked as I was, I ended up leaving since they refused to service me. read more

Don't waste your time at this location, go to Advent Health (formerly FRI) in Oviedo. I went in for an ultrasound for a specific area and after waiting for the results for 6 days (4 business days), the ultrasound tech NEVER got the pictures of my right ovary, therefore, I will need to go have ANOTHER one done after spending $200+ at SimonMed and getting results my Dr. can't even use. I would assume when you are going in to check for tumors they would have spent more time on my appointment trying to locate the specific areas my Dr. needed to see. I will never recommend anyone go to this location and I surely won't be going back there. read more

Horrible experience here. The front desk staff totally unprofessional you walk in they don't even acknowledge you because they are to busy chit chatting. When they finally do it's like you are bothering them because they had to stop talking to each other to actually help you and do their job. Then I waited over an hour for an MRI that I had to book online since you can't get through to try and call and make an appointment!!! I haven't even been seen yet and this has been the most horrendous and awful experience I have ever had with a place of medicine. After being in a car accident I was referred here and have called 7 times to try and get connected to the PIP department and the call has been disconnected each time. I then called the doctor who referred me, who called them and told me Simonmed would contact me and they still have not. Three days of trying to get an appointment for a CT scan is absolutely ridiculous!!!!! I will be going back to my doctor for a referral ELSEWHERE. read more
