I went to SimonMed for a ultrasound on my kidneys. I have stones. They also found that there was stress on my liver. That night my back and stomach was cramping worse than labor pains. I thought that I was passing stones. When it got so bad I went to the emergency room. Because of the portal and fast results I was able to show them Simons findings resulting in faster treatment and removal of my gallstones and next day gallbladder. I was so grateful because the pain was unbearable and they were able to administer pain medication before doing their own tests due to Simons test findings, and with a pain as severe as that it was amazing when it was finally relieved. Extremely poor customer service and a complete lack of professionalism. I showed up for a scheduled X-ray appointment only to be told they "don't have X-rays today" because they lost a technician. What's unacceptable is that no effort was made to notify patients who already had appointments scheduled. A simple phone call would've saved people time and frustration. The front desk experience made it even worse. The man at the front had some of the worst customer service I've encountered--he refused to even look up and speak to me directly, didn't explain the situation like a professional, and instead handed a piece of paper across the desk telling me to go try other locations. No apology. No accountability. No respect. If you're going to cancel services for the day, own it, communicate it, and treat people like adults. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone who values basic professionalism and courtesy. read more

Came in for my mri scan. When I arrived they checked me in and advised they hadn't received the paperwork from my doctor's office. They were patient with me while I called the office and had them refaxed over. Waited probably another 30 minutes then they called me back for my mri. The staff was nice and accommodating. They have rooms for you to change and lock your belongings while they conduct the scanning. I did freak out during my scan so they pulled me out from the machine and allowed me to breathe then were patient with me while putting me back in. I kept my eyes closed the entire time which helped the second time around. read more

I took off work to have a mammogram done that I had scheduled weeks prior. I got so many text messages to fill out paperwork. I went to my 11:15 schedule appt. I get at 10:47, waited to then be told that they don't have an xray tech, so only the mammogram would be done and to go to another location for the xray which is 20min away. I went to their location on Dale Mabry and guess what, no freaking xray tech either. So may other things happened but this review will be super long. I Do Not Recommend at all!! read more

This place is shady. Scheduled a diagnostic follow up & had 2 conversations with no mention of any cost due up front for me. Took the day off from work & arrived on time to be told I owed the full cost towards my deductible. Called & verified with insurance that I only owed a 20% coinsurance which was $70 vs $350. Took so long & was still unresolved on their end that they had to reschedule me & put it on me to call their billing team back with a reference number from insurance. When I asked the process for refunds once the EOB came back the front desk associate tried to tell me insurance would be responsible for refunding me. Such incompetence. read more

They Suck! It took two weeks to get an appointment for a mammogram & lower back X-Ray. Their call center is in India and California and their accents are so bad you can't understand them, you can't get in touch with the office you're supposed to visit, after the dum-bass call center schedule and reschedule me for the wrong day and wrong location, then told me to call the office I was rescheduled to visit, and on what days they are doing what... Of course I call Simon's local office numbers and get connected to another dum-bass foreign call center that tells me the local office is just too busy to take my calls, and they're just as incompetent as all my previous phone call, text & emails telling my to confirm my appointment or walk-in, fill out the patient survey etc. etc.. I'm getting a dozen spam messages a day from these morons to confirm my appointment that was confirmed two weeks ago... but still excuses and no appointment or apology when I called them back to firm up and confirm the appointments & walk-in date I was given two F'ing weeks ago for tomorrow! I've contacted or called these dimwits every day this week to confirm my g-damn appointments! And they supposedly they canceled it in a text this morning without explanation, but they still sent out another email to confirm it an hour ago. Simon Imaging is MessedUp! Beware! They'll waste your time. They probably couldn't draw a stick figure on a piece of paper with a pencil. Do you want them doing your scans & X-Rays when they're not competent enough to schedule a simple appointment or walk-in? Fantastic experience on two occasions at Simon Med on Bruce B Downs Tampa Florida. The first time I went to have imaging completed, I greeted by Peter, who checked me in. He was so pleasant that I was actually excited for my visit. The tech for the CT scan was Vincent and he was also so professional and personable. The second time I went, a couple months later, the tech for the MRI, Sherri, was also very professional and pleasant. Both Vincent and Sherri explained the process thoroughly and really helped relieved any anxiety I may have had. I would definitely recommend them. Keep up the great service! read more

Would certainly recommend finding another imaging facility. Each time I've visited this one the wait has been ridiculously long (1 hour+). Today I went in for a 5 minute scan. They asked me to arrive 15 minutes early, I arrived 10 minutes early however they decided to take someone back who's appointment was after mine. It defeats the purpose of having a scheduled appt if they are going to just decide to take another patient back. Why am I arriving 15 minutes earlier than my appt time just to be sitting in the waiting room still 45 minutes after my appointment time. Mind you both times I was asked to fast (no eating or drinking). It's an inconvenience and all the managing staff can say is "I'm not sure why, I'm sorry". I will never use SimonMed again! It was 3 weeks ago I had a cat-scan done. It took them a week before they sent my doctor the results. When they received the results the radiologist did not even report on what they were scanning. My Doctor requested them to reread the scan twice but still we have no results. I received the bill not knowing what was scanned. So when they wonder why it's not paid that is the reason. Even after I had the test I kept getting calls to schedule my test. now going on week 4 my doctor is sending me to a specialist to find out what is the problem. Inept. Is how to describe this imaging company. My insurance does not cover the PET Scan at any other place that my Oncologist needs so I am stuck here. It took more than 3 weeks to set up an appointment to have it cancelled due to "Lack of Authorization"? Upon setting up the appointment I was assured everything was ok. Documentation as well as authorization and yet the appointment was cancelled Oh, but then reschedule for next week? So, which one is it? Doe you have the authorization or not? If so, then why not just keep the previous appointment the patient had to make all the necessary arrangements (transportation etc.) for this exam that the Doctor needs for further diagnosis of the Stage 4 Cancer. I am extremely disappointed in these services or lack thereof. read more

Do not waste your time if you need an x-ray. They do not take appointments for x-rays, walk ins only. I showed up 3 different days this week for an x-ray and was told they didn't have an X-ray technician available. The same person doing MRI's could do an X-ray but because they had appts it could be a 3 to 5 hour wait. My first visit was a Tues, then Wed they told me they have techs usually on Tuesdays. What? I was just there on Tuesday!! They told me to come back on Friday after 2pm. Showed up today and once again they told me it would be a 3.5 hour plus wait because they only had the MRI person. I will call my doctor back and ask for a different referral location. 3 days of wasted time. Not sure how they stay in business. read more

If you enjoy spending an hour on the phone just to make an appointment, and then another hour because the appointment was canceled via text message with no explanation, and than a half hour talking to someone who barely speaks english and doesn't understand the difference between a doctor and insurance, this is definitely your place. The in-office staff was good however i could not call the office directly. when I informed the clerk she said she has reported this issue to mgmt for the last year and they do nothing about it. instead, to schedule my appointment, I had to call a different # and speak with a "remote scheduler" who was obviously not focused on what she was doing. After 30 minutes on the call with her and several mistakes on where to schedule me (she is obviously NOT in Tampa and tried to schedule me in several different places) I got an appointment. About 6hrs later I received a message stating I needed to call them back as they were going to cancel my appointment due to my insurance. When I called the number provided it was disconnected and said it was a Webex. Horrible scheduling department. You need to do better! From the previous reviews, it's obvious you don't care to make things better and, unfortunately , there aren't a lot of options for patients. read more

The most horrible medical service ever offered. The staff is very untrained, they know nothing about their procedures, medical coverage, they will hung up on you whenever they don't know the answer of their questions. I'm dealing with them since 2 months now and they are not still able to determine if yes or no they can accept my type of medical coverage. I offered them the whole contact info of the person that is responsible for the coverage and they promised they will speak with them and give a feedback ASAP. So far nothing. The family member for which I'm taking care has a terminal illness and time is essential to us; apparently this doesn't bother Simonmed. I had an urgent need for a CT scan and came to this facility. I had been here in the past and well taken care of. Marilyn greeted me at the desk and took care of all my insurance needs. She was kind and helpful and made me feel welcome. Vincent took me back and performed my scan. He is also very skilled and took me through the process. I was in and out in an hour and could not have been in better hands. I appreciated all the concern they show for patients. The office is clean and open. read more

Appointments are a joke. They ask you to arrive.10 minutes early and then you wait at least 45 minutes to be called. The technicians are competent and reasonably friendly. The receptionist group are mean stupid and lousy at their jobs. Next time I would drive 50 miles out of my way to avoid them. read more

The off site center was not able to each the Tampa location and gave me alternate numbers for the front desk all of them were disconnected. SimonMed recently took over Gateway Radiology, which had provided great care and service to the community for years. Sadly, I expected the same level of service from SimonMed. I checked in a little early for my Noon appointment. I was finally called out of the waiting room a little after 1:00, told to change into a gown and then left sitting for about 20 minutes. Seeing that my Noon appointment was really starting at 1:30 I asked the tech how long it would take for the imaging and was told "30 minutes". I had a critical business appointment at 2:30, which I could have made on time if I hadn't been lied to. My imaging wasn't complete until 2:30. I have to warn others to avoid SimonMed at all cost. Uncaring management, overbooking and a total lack of care and consideration for their patients/customers. A little honesty today may have gone a long way toward retaining me as a customer. The waiting room was packed, so I guess until word gets out about SimonMed, people will continue scheduling there - at least until they experience the horrible lack of caring. ​ read more

My cardiologist sent a referral for a cardiac mri to be done at SimonMed Imaging in Bradenton Florida. It was accepted by them and I received a call from scheduler Carlos to set up an appointment. After 20 minutes on the phone with him getting my personal info he then tells me that SimonMed does not do a cardiac mri at their facility. Now this should have been told to my cardiologist when he first sent the referral and also to me before Carlos took all my information in the beginning. I also received an email after this that I need to call to schedule an appointment with them. I called back and spoke to Mike at scheduling department and he confirmed that SimonMed does not do cardiac mri's and he said will cancel this request so I do no longer get texts or emails. This whole issue was a waste of time due to the incompetence of their staff. They should have know from the start that their facility does not do cardiac mri's from the referral they received. I needed to have this mri done asap which was of great importance to my cardiologist and now a facility that handles this request needs to be found. Very disappointed and I will not return to SimonMed Imaging in the future! read more

I was impressed by my first visit there this week. Conveniently located, no waiting, very clean, tech and front desk staff friendly. Cost of the ultrasound, with my insurance, was just under $30. The price for a CT of the abdomen, contrast and no contrast, is $150 without insurance. Tower charges around $400 for the same CT without insurance. AVIOD THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS , NOTHING BUT CHAOS & CONFUSION My Dr made an appointment & sent the order for work done. Simond med called me the day before my appointment that was made 2 weeks beforehand said they needed a referral, so my appointment was cancelled. I called my Dr and was told there was NO referral needed as the Dr was the one setting the appointment up... Next day I call Simon Med to clear this up and after waiting on hold for 12 minutes NOW they tell me it is an ORDER that they need & don't have. I Called my Dr.'s office again and the said they sent one 2 weeks back & have a fax confirmation. My Dr, was so appalled that he said.." we may be finding a different facility , we can't have them treating our patients that way! " Today I called Simon med AGAIN and asked for the office manager at the location I was going to ,I was shuffled around to 3 different people, NONE of which were who I asked for. I am transferred AGAIN & on hold another 10 minutes, finally get a worker at the location & am told " they can't get hold of the regional manager" I state I only need to speak to the manager of that office, they tell me " we do NOT have an office manager , only a regional manager out of Orlando". ( I am in Tampa). I asked the the employee to look at my chart and she tells me they have the order AND it was received 2 weeks ago the same day the appointment was made by my Dr. All in all I spent 3 days on the phone for at least 30 minutes each time trying to get something that was Simon Meds responsibility straightened out. If they can't get this done correctly , do you REALLY want to trust them to properly diagnosis & report a possible deadly medical issue ? I had to have an MRI and my provider sent me to SimonMed. I had never heard of them or been there previously, although I have been to other imaging facilities. At first glance, I was impressed with how clean and modern the facility was. I arrived a little before 9am and I was the first patient. The front office staff was super friendly. Ian, my MRI tech was friendly, knowledgable and attentive. The equipment seemed very up to date and I even got to listen to my favorite music during the exam! Overall, I had a fantastic experience.
