I was helping a family member secure legal representation and they reached out to what I thought was a reputable company. From the very beginning, Mende's demeanor was dismissive and unprofessional. She rolled her eyes during the conversation, smacked her lips, and made it clear through her body language and tone that she wasn't interested in truly helping. When my family member calmly and respectfully shared that they didn't feel it was the right fit and asked what they could pay her for her time, Mende responded, "nothing," and abruptly hung up the call. That type of behavior is not only rude, it's completely unacceptable in any professional setting, especially one where individuals are seeking legal guidance during sensitive situations. My family member approached the consultation in good faith and was met with unwarranted attitude and disrespect. There are many reputable, compassionate, and professional attorneys out there who take pride in their work and the way they treat people. Unfortunately, based on this experience, Mende Romaniak is not one of them. I do not recommend her services and urge others to proceed with caution.

Do Not Recommend - Poor Representation, Overcharged, and Negligent…read more I hired Attorney Sean Kledzik from Bartholomew & Wasznicky LLP on May 20, 2025, after being assured the full scope of my case--including a DVRO filing, UPA case, and trial--would cost $15,000. Sean was the only attorney available from the firm to handle my domestic violence restraining order case. Once he received the full retainer, communication completely fell apart. I called the office seven times over ten days and got no response from Sean or anyone at the firm. When we finally prepared my DVRO (Case No. 25DV01590), Sean and his paralegal, Nicole Thompson, rushed me to finalize the documents with only a few hours' notice--twice. I was at work during both instances, under immense pressure to meet last-minute deadlines that were caused by their own delays. Sean represented me in two hearings before I ultimately fired him due to his incompetence and lack of preparation. At the first hearing on May 28, he and his paralegal showed up 45 minutes late. He did not prep me at all, didn't explain what to expect, and made no effort to strategize with me. At the second hearing on June 17, Sean was again late and offered no real defense against the false claims made by the other party. He didn't object, challenge, or advocate for me in any meaningful way. Because of this, false allegations went unchecked, and I am now required to drug test three times a week and still don't have custody of my children. Despite this minimal, substandard service, Sean charged the full $15,000 retainer for just two hearings, rushed filings, and partially completed UPA paperwork. I was left in a significantly worse position than I started--both legally and financially. I strongly urge anyone in a sensitive family law matter to avoid this attorney. I feel completely taken advantage of and deeply regret trusting this firm with my case.

Once Bella left and went to the back my sister did come up and told me she doesn't know what she is doing, she was chopping up my hair in areas and leaving long strings in other areas. About 10 minutes later another hair stylist, I believe the owner, comes out and says Bella is nervous and upset, she can't finish your hair. She then says that Bella said myself and my sister were talking about her and said we didn't like how she was cutting my hair. I explained that My sister, who was sitting over 25 feet away from me, and I never said one word at all. My sister and I hadn't spoken to each other at all since we got to the Salon, until Bella had excused herself, gone to the back and did not return. The other stylist (owner) said she couldn't finish my hair until tomorrow. I told her I had to be in Fresno tomorrow to pick up our Christmas guest. She went to the back to call someone else to come in if they could. We waited for another 15 minutes and neither one came back up front. I took the clips out of my hair, and we left. Leaving a customer with their hair chopped up and having nobody in the shop who could finish it is out of this world. I was supposed to go out of town for Christmas on Thursday, now I have had to change my plans and be late an entire day! All this due to Bella, but her shop owner as well. This was incredibly unprofessional! I will never go into that Salon again and would never recommend anyone else to go either. If the stylist cannot come out herself and apologize and tell you herself that she is unable to continue she has no business in the profession! She also has a good selection of head coverings, bangs, etc for hair loss. She is very educated in this area and would recommend.
