I'm not mad at her, but whoever left her there by herself should be ashamed. I understand its family run. If so, the family needs to let her retire and bring in real employees. A member of my party who is not an IHG member was asked which floor they wanted and was given a ground-floor room. Yet I was not asked about my preference at check-in. I understand preferences are subject to availability, but I expected more consistency and more attention to member preferences. More concerning, on the morning of checkout, I was told checkout was at noon, but around 9:20 AM someone knocked and then used a key card to open my room door while I was in the shower! The only thing that prevented entry was the interior latch. That is a serious safety issue. I do not know who attempted to enter, and an occupied room should not be accessed before checkout while a guest is still inside. This needs to be reviewed as a room security issue.

So I guess 2 people could fit on it they really liked each other. We liked having a door, however or didn't have a latching mechanism so we had to prop a suitcase to keep it closed, weird. We have the same last name he hands us both our paperwork together. I hand my dad his with his name on it and I take mine with my name on it. I finish first and he wants the other, I said but I am paying for mine separate, again say my room details and my name. He says ok, tells me to insert my card for my card on file. I do and then my dad does the same. He then tells us about the pending total, and we realized he swapped the cards on the rooms. We tell him what happened and he says, "There is nothing I can do to fix it". That is all he would repeat. The next day a young gentleman with long brown hair at the front desk was able to fix our cards in less than 20 mins, he was very kind and unsure why the older man couldn't help us the night before. Now our room, it was not cleaned well. We had dirt and hair in our tubs, trash under our beds and mind you there is a wood wall, it cannot go deep under the bed, trash behind our nightstands. Our bathroom was left with an almost empty roll of toilet paper and then I went to wash a plate.... the Scrub Mommy was used!! It was no longer in the packaging and had orange stains on it. I was very disappointed in our stay since our stay at Sonesta in Nashville was so great. They do not all keep the same standards!!
